Don't let the world deceive you into being ashamed of a free market economy, capitalism, private property, and unalienable individual rights endowed by our creator. I choose Freedom! And I will forever be proud and grateful for those who made it possible for me to do so, as well as those who help to ensure the continuation of such righteous principles today. I am American, I love Capitalism. That is to say, that I love the American dream where I can come from nothing, and if I put my head down and work hard I can achieve that. Now Communism and Socialism has been white washed just about as badly as anything can be. The fact that people, especially young people think that Communism is a better political ideology then Nazism is just insane. Just because someone is a ignorant bigot doesn't excuse 100 million dead as a direct result of Communism and Socialism. So, ANTIFA you are worst then Nazis. Those are the facts.

    Capitalism doesn't require force? Capitalism, like all societies that have some form of state, requires force. Every government necessitates the dictatorship of one class of people over another. According to Lenin, Socialism is the economic system where the state owns the means of production and Communism is the utopian view where there is no state. So yes Lenin's goal was communism. EVERY EVIL is done in the NAME OF THE GREATER GOOD. Thats what communism is, an unrealistic utopian view in which by handing power to the state they will know what's best for their people. Like Reagan said: "Goverment is not the solution to our problem, goverment is the problem."!

  • @TheySchlendrian

    @TheySchlendrian

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@WhatevenisFudgeCake That's the very reason why socialism and Democracy don't cancel each other out. Yes you can have a one party state to control the means of production, however it results into terrible dictatorship. democratic socialism however seeks to democratize instead of giving all the power to the party. ''Freedom only for the members of the government, only for the members of the Party - though they are quite numerous - is no freedom at all. Freedom is always the freedom of dissenters.'' -Rosa Luxemburg Take the planned economy for example, instead of the state the people democratically state wich products they need and together work out a plan, wich would be even faster handled with modern computer and internet technology, heck Wall Street sells and buys goods in mere milliseconds. Yes Government is no Solution but neither is the coersive force of Capitalism. If you're completely against State supervision however you can also look at Anarcho-Communism wich works completely without a state and the principles of Mutual Aid as proposed by, for instance, Peter Kropotkin who wrote the Conquest of Bread. He by the way condemned the Russian revolution aswell.

He made films, became president, and used military and diplomacy to push for the rights of free people on the international scene! Who else did it so vocally and with such determination?

  • @michaelpalmieri7335

    Tnn Dll So, Reagan pushed for "the rights of free people." HA! Tell that to the oppressed people of all those South American countries like El Salvador and Guatemala that were ruled by brutal right-wing military dictators that your hero, Mr. Reagan, blindly supported with money and weapons just because they were "anti-communist." Tell that to the innocent ones, including women and children who were raped, tortured, and murdered by the death squads of those nations. Even American citizens were killed by those butchers, like the four nuns who were murdered in El Salvador in December, 1980, over a month after Reagan was elected. Jimmy Carter was still President at the time (Reagan would take his place a month later), and he cut off all relations between us and El Salvador, but when Reagan took office, one of the first things he did was to reinstate our relations with the Salvadorian junta. Thousands of South and Central Americans suffered because of Reagan's support for the vicious tyrants who ruled these countries. Why, the man was as much a war criminal as Adolf Hitler (who, by the way, was also anti-communist). Yet, when the people tried to revolt against this fascistic repression and sought to overthrow the murderous despots, by force if necessary, Reagan had the gall to call them "terrorists"! The truth was, it was the juntas that were the terrorists, not to mention the so-called "Contra" rebels who were trying to get rid of the leftist Sandinista government of Nicaragua, and were willing to commit horrible atrocities against unarmed civilians to do it. But, did Reagan call the Contras terrorists? No way! According to the "Great Communicator," they were "freedom fighters" and "the moral equivalent of our Founding Fathers." What a crock! This was typical of Reagan's hypocrisy: when the leftish guerillas of El Salvador, or Guatemala, or wherever, attacked mainly military targets to throw out the right-wing dictators that controlled their countries, he called them terrorists; but, when the rightist Contras went after mostly civilian targets to overthrow a leftist regime in Nicaragua that was much less repressive than those on the right, they were heroes and defenders of freedom, or at least Reagan's idea of freedom. And let's not forget about his openly hobnobbing with these "friendly" dictators, praising them to high heaven, like when he said that Guatemala's dictator, Efrain Montt, "got a bum rap"! Yet, just a few years ago, this same tyrant was convicted of war crimes and crimes against humanity in a Guatamalan court. So much for bum raps! Reagan's Vice President, George H.W. Bush, was no better, for he similarly lauded Ferdinand Marcos, dictator of the Philippines, telling him, "We admire your adherence to democratic principles." MARCOS HAD DEMOCRATIC PRINCIPLES? IN A PIG'S EYE HE DID! LOL!!! That's about as dumb as Reagan's talk about Efrain Montt's "bum rap"! It's a good thing Reagan wasn't President during World War Two. He would have been backing Hitler, Mussolini, and the Japanese warlords, all of whom were "anti-communist." And how about when Reagan and his administration did next to nothing about the Americans who were killed by his despot buddies, and, in fact, even tried to rationalize or deny these murders? That's what happened when his Secretary of State, Alexander Haig, made the totally absurd claim that the four American nuns in El Salvador were killed while "trying to run a roadblock," that they had guns on them, which they used to shoot at their attackers, and thus deserved to be killed. He even accused them of supporting the Salvadorian rebels. Never mind the fact that a) the four victims were unarmed, b) the evidence clearly showed that they were stopped at the roadblock, dragged out of their van, raped and tortured, and then shot in the back of their heads with their hands tied behind their backs, and c) it has never been proven that they supported the guerillas. Even if they did support them, it was probably because they sympathized with their desire to be free from a U.S.-backed dictatorship. Yet, Reagan had the nerve to rant and rave about oppression in communist countries, to refer to the Soviet Union as "THE EVIL EMPIRE"? Apparently, it never occurred to this former movie actor that, because of him, the people of these unhappy lands saw the United States of America, the alleged "land of the free," as the evil empire! Reagan's blatant hypocrisy was almost unbelievable! And his dimwitted admirers still see him as a HERO and a PATRIOT??? Wake up and smell the corpses of the people slaughtered by Ronnie's Fascist friends, you ignorant fools! You guys are just as bad as the Holocaust deniers! Incidentally, I find it rather ironic that you refer to Reagan as "the Martin Luther King of ANTI-Communism," since Reagan at first refused to support making Dr. King's birthday a national holiday. Do you know why? Because he thought Dr. King was A COMMUNIST, THAT'S WHY!!! I swear, you Reagan-lovers are as hypocritical as he was! A footnote: Reagan eventually changed his mind about Dr. King and signed the bill providing for the Martin Luther King birthday holiday, but only because he felt he had to go along with public opinion. Another example of his hypocrisy!

    @@michaelpalmieri7335 High politics is dirty. Whoever enters it, will end up dirty. The more power one has, the more dirty he will be. Any president of the United States does mistakes and makes bad, sometimes very bad decisions. I admire Reagan for recognizing communism as the main threat to the world and for saving us all from a possible nuclear war. I personally am glad to him for his perseverence against the Soviet Union. Without that my country might still be communist, with poverty, no freedom of speech, open terror and no prospects whatsoever. You can speak out your mind, you have that unquestionable right. People under communist dictatorship do not have that right. So, if I were you, I would be grateful for being free from communist oppression. But, if you intend to focus on the dirt accumulated on Reagan, do so. You have the right to do so.

    @@michaelpalmieri7335 I live in Romania, but consider Hungary to be my country. Hungary lost 66% of its territory because of communist, this is why Hungarians live in foreign countries. I lived in Ceausescu's regime and cannot forget the endless queues in front of empty stores, the poverty, the terror, the picture of the dictator everywhere. It seems that our views are not far from each-other. You seem to agree with me that communist countries don't let people speak their minds out and that there is open terror in place. I can tell you my experience, but can prove that through the doctrine as well, even from the Communist Manifesto. Your point seems to be that the right-wing military dictatorships oppressed people as well and Reagan supported them. I have not lived in a right-wing military dictatorship, so I cannot speak from experience, but I am against any dictatorship, be it right-wing military or other. Reagan sided with these right-wing military dictatorships against communism, because he recognized communist to be the biggest threat of the world. So, he was a pragmatist and acted immorally towards people oppressed by noncommunist dictatorships. I can understand your sympathy for the victims of those dictatorships and this is how dirt accumulated on Reagan. While he was moral and just against communism, he was a partner with other totalitarian regimes to reach his goal. So, Reagan was not a saint and one can rightfully criticize him. But, without his anticommunism I might still be oppressed. So, with all the imperfections of the man, he saved me and many other millions and I am grateful for that.

    One of the men who actually survived the Uprising in Warsaw, only to *die* at the behest of the Politburo and its henchman Beria, was memorialized in the Sabaton song named by his inmate identity: "Inmate 4859", listen to it; they did a marvelous job of clarifying what happened, and pay close heed to his death-date: that shows you the exact identities of his killers. Also, in the course of WW2: the Reds had *absolutely no problems* with murdering diplomats of foreign neutrals who fell into their custody in the course of the war: such as a diplomat by the name of "Wallenberg" who was disappeared into their custody around the siege of Budapest in '45. That city was completely eradicated, as were the Magyars in Hungary within thirteen years later, when they rose up against their Slavic overlords, the true experts at genocide, as the Germanics would rapidly discover their stupidity at declaring a war of extermination against a faction who themselves were far more proficient at that murderous art.

    Why don’t you go to live in Cuba or North Korea so you have a first hand experience? China had the same history until adopted western capitalist policy to a minor degree - putting capitalism under communist control - what they called Chinese style socialism. So, go to North Korea which is still pure communism to learn first hand and enjoy 😼

    @@drannoc100 ok. But you can’t act like people don’t suffer in the great capitalist USA- we have by far the highest prison population in the world. This has been issue since 1970. Homelessness is now rampant and the wealth disparity has reached unprecedented levels. Capitalism exploits workers and is rigged because corruption is inevitable. Communism isn’t the answer but clearly this documentary is propaganda and skewed. Our system isn’t great either.

    @@robertpolanco1973 I did not tell you that capitalism is perfect. I told you that it is evil. The point that I have made and you do not seem to get is that communism is the killer type of evil, while capitalism is the lack of opportunity type of evil. You are acting as if the thief would be equally evil as the serial killer. When I point out that the thief is far less evil, you start to speak as if I were considering the thief perfect. No, capitalist is not perfect. But with all its faults it's an angel in comparison to communism. "What happened in the supposed socialist or Communist countries were NOT really based on REAL TRUE socialism or Communism!" That's the "no true scotsman" fallacy. Google that. I have read Das Kapital and the Communist Manifesto. I do not see how the real communist systems were so fundamentally different from the system described by Marx or Engels. As about calling me names, you know that it's assymetrical. I would not call you names. I respect you as a human being. Communists, on the other hand are not respecting human beings and have no problem in depriving basic rights from human beings. It's like calling people names. You are doing well, at some point in the future you may rise up to the level of your comrades.

    @@drakekoefoed1642 Wages went down because of the federal reserve and centralized banks, so you need to learn a bit more about Economics and Money Mechanics before you pop off about thing you don't understand. You can follow the stagnant wages from the 70's directly to wall street and the created CDO's and other fraudulently rated mortgages under BS ratings, allowing wall street to take off, and predatory loans taking advantage of the middle class and poor. The crappy wages are because of inflation and recessions, all of which do not exist naturally in Capitalism. Recessions and inflation are directly attributed to the federal reserve and banks, not government decisions. The other issue were the forced collective of gold from 1929 from the citizens of the USA, allowing the "you know who" to manipulate the market to create these recessions and having commodity based currency removed during Woodrow Wilson and Nixon eras, FDR also enacted policies that crippled the working class as well.

    Wrong. Bumbling Ronald Reagan drastically increased the size of the federal government by over 300,000 employees to a high of 5.3 million (only 26% being soldiers meant to fight communism). Soon afterwards, Bill Clinton actually drastically decreased the size of the federal government by number of employees. Likewise, Ronald Reagan gave amnesty to over 2.7 million illegal immigrants during his immigration reform. He closed the asylums, leading to many severely mentally ill people walking free and around the streets as homeless people. He supported brutal wars across the world, such as in Angola and Nicaragua, in the latter case by going around Congress and selling weapons to Islamic Revolutionary Iran to raise funds, and also tolerated and worked with Cocaine smugglers and helped them to bring it into the US to support the contra insurgency and worked with kingpins like Manuel Noriega. He supported and funded the Afghan mujahedeen which were Islamic radicals and eventually morphed into Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. He signed EO 12333, which allowed for spying on the American public by the CIA. And his efforts did not end the cold war, that was an internal matter to the USSR, no serious historian actually posits that the escalation and arms race in the 1980s had any real effect on the collapse of the Soviet Union (which btw, was not a good thing but led to nearly two decades of extreme poverty and destitution for the Russian people, with sharp increases in alcoholism and prostitution, drastic decrease in life expectancy and multiple wars breaking out across the former territories which continue to this day such as Russia-Ukraine, Azerbaijan-Armenia, Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan, Georgia-Abzhakia and South Ossetia etc.)
