I’ve heard both sides and i give Way more cred to Alex.

Timeline: A. 2 self-employed vloggers are offered 3 year contracts averaging $85K per year. One of these employees literally doesn't know what "IP" means. B. Employer is so happy with their performance, he gives them raises above the initial offfer C. Employer gives extra salary to one of the vloggers for extra work she does D. Employees get convinced they're Howard Stern and ask for $1 million salaries E. Employer tells them to fuck off F. 3 months later, he offers them $500K annual salaries and rights to the name of the podcast. Two things he is under no legal obligation to do. One of the ladies doesn't understand what she's being offered.

I just wanted to come on here and say I found out about this drama through the Tiny Meat Gang podcast and I came and watched this and can I just say that this was one of the best videos that I have ever watched. I am so sorry that you lost your friendship with Sophia and something that you thought would never change, but I think that you are going to be so much better off and you handled this whole situation so professionally. Sofia seemed to be blindly listening to what Peter was saying, and Alex wanted the best for her career and her podcast, Alwx could've wanted to leave and still could be leaving when the year is over. She was smart and made a compromise to save her career, now Alex has a chance of winning a peoples choice award while Sofia is starting scratch in her mom's closet. She was offered her own podcast. I'm not on either of their sides because Laurn went with Alex and Milfhunter went with Sofia which shows none of them are fully wrong but Alex was smart and made sure whatever happened she didn't lose her career.

That’s an interesting way to say she sold out her friend and went behind her back. Judging by the podcast only it seems that alex seems to fit her personality to whatever guest she has on and idk maybe that could’ve happened with sofia. She may’ve lead sofia to believe she doesn’t like it at barstool just as much as sofia does ... until the contracts came out of course. Obviously that’s just my opinion but I see yours too. Also, the suitman narrative doesn’t hold much weight to me anymore.

1. I don’t see how you can say it was just about the money for Alex when she literally wanted less than Sofia? Like could you expand on that it doesn’t make any sense to me? 2. Alex clearly valued the brand that she and Sofia had worked so hard to make more than Sofia which is why she was ready to take the deal on the rooftop itself. @@noland5345 they would have each gotten a whole lot more than a half a mil, the half mil was a guaranteed minimum but with their percents on merch and other stuff they would have likely ended up making a whole lot more than that over the year.

scorpion07070 Alex has been doing the podcast by herself for the past 2 months with guests/by herself and it’s been great and according to her new contract she owns the IP and is only signed to barstool for the rest of the year so like if she wants to stay and extend her contract next year she can or she can bring it somewhere else all bc of her new deal that Sofia could’ve been apart of but she didn’t want to stay at barstool for another year

It will be interesting to see what Sofia does after this, she's talented too, but she needs someone like Alex to do the behind the scenes stuff. I bet she starts another podcast, with a new co-host that copies the Call Her Daddy format and style, but I doubt it will be as popular as Alex's show.

@Adam Sofia's boyfriend is a major executive at HBO with connections at several major media companies, she's going to have plenty of help with promotion. The legal battle to getting out of her contract though, that's going to hurt her, she is hot right now because people still care about Daddy Gang and they are hot from the fight in the tabloids, but people may no longer care by the time she's able to start on her own (or with a new partnership).

I was catching up on episodes so of course I had to rewatch this. Thinking it over, it’s amazing (and very mature) how Alex approached this. She had the funeral episode and went through her grief, then moved on. And now she’s doing so much better and I’m so proud to have witnessed this growth in her and the show! I did try to listen to Sofia’s podcast, but I couldn’t do it.

Could you imagine if Dave actually (to show sofia a lesson) gives Alex in her new contract everything that sofia wanted when she was moving the goalpost and cut sofia out entirely, would be the Best Karma of 2020 maybe all time

I don’t know you. I’ve never heard of you, Sofia, or this Daddy show. I’m not even sure how I came to listen to this. I watched it until the end. I’ve seen this again and again. I lost my two best friends last year and I understand how betrayal hurts. You seem like a strong and lovely young woman and will go far in life if you stay focused. The hardest thing to do is make a decision for yourself IN SPITE of someone close to you and their reaction. To risk losing a friend by doing what’s best for you is vey brave and those are the kinds of decisions that are necessary. I’m encouraged to see such a strong will and a good head on her shoulders. My daughter is 29 and I’d love for her to have half of your focus and drive.

Just think about it though, the show is both of their legacy! This is something they could do FOREVER! And from the sound of things Sophia was treating it like a buffet, where you just stuff your face as much as you can and then shit it all out later. You can see Alex really takes pride in the show, as she should, but it will be brought down by stupidity and greed!

What I dont understand is, if she was so happy with the rooftop contract what was the need to negotiate without Sofia. All Sofia wanted mainly was the major share of IP. And what Alex got alone is 75% of IP in her last discussion with Dave. Something is missing there.

Did anyone else see this coming months ago? I'm not sure what it was but Sofia always seemed a little off to me. The fact she wasn't comfortable letting Alex take the credit for the editing says a lot about her character. However, everyone deserves the right to defend themself and maybe Sofia will speak her side of the story. It's a shame this all happened because I did enjoy the Alex/Sofia dynamic but Sofia is expendable, Alex is the talent and the heartbeat of the podcast. This video alone compared to Sofia's brief Insta story vaguely alluding to "I'm upset, Alex betrayed me" shows the chasm between these two in terms of professionalism and talent. Where ever you go Alex, we follow. Roll on Wednesday.

Alex has said how she went behind her back and imo she was absolutely right for doing so. I'd have done the same. Unless Sofia reveals something that Alex and Dave aren't revealing, which seems unlikely, Sofia has well and truly played herself.
