Everybody doesn't have to be enlightened. In fact they can't be, and this term implies ultimateness and no further learning - it invokes arrogance. A plain of consciousness that everybody can achieve, one that is as natural to us as the dust we are born on: Love. If you incorporate love in everything that you do, you will not breed hate, or racism, or anything of that matter. I like how when you talk about the stereotype of “Asians being bad drivers” you insert a clip of Fast and Furious Tokyo which is a film about badass Asian Street racers based in Japan. Loving the irony you highlight here, also a clip of Mario Kart which is arguably the most popular/best racing game ever made, made by an Asian. Im Afghan and can relate completely to your journey through America and growing up with the racism and stereotypes. I went through the same. The pain will always be there. But. Those experiences are a by product of who you are, and who you are is enough.

went to la in october and walked around koreatown for a week looking for you and bobby lee. i logged 150 miles of walking, basically just trying to see yall. growing up my closest friends were thai and vietnamese. theyve since all gone home and i miss them so fucking much. the food, the fellowship, the perspective. i miss tri i miss bond and hosu. i guess im trying to say i have somethin missin! thanks david, you make it hurt less.

Dave im Latino my parents are from 2 different countries im was never welcome in any of them, cus im different, i know how you feel sometimes ,sometimes i go true depression ,Anger ,hate ,but at the end of the day God bless me with a family cus i didnt have one growing up my parents separated when i was young my dad wanted to beat me sometimes but a least i had my mom to take care of me at does moments and my grandmother. I grew up with a lot of anger my mom past away when i was 21 so was homeless for a time life is not easy but i keep moving forward no matter what ,but i appreciate your story it really encourages me to keep moving thank you love you take care brother .

hey david (totally off topic), back in 2020i listened to your podcast on Joe Rohan and the first and second one truly saved me from spiraling further into the really bad depression I had and set me on the path to a DMT trip that gave me the ego death I needed to start fixing myself. Listening to the new one with you today reminded me how much you changed my life so I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m also an artist who’s been drawing since 3 but never pursued it because of my parents who never saw it as a career choice which honestly helped me continue to work on it cause they didn’t like it haha.
