I think the reason why people are upset is bc of his pretty hateful statements, f.ex. about non-binary people, poc‘s etc About him being blunt, I guess that‘s what makes him relatable to a lot of people but I also wonder a bit why he‘s acting the way he does, he‘s an enterpreneur himself, so he knows pretty much what‘s going on, might as well share how this is happening and why brands make the decisions they do, how they compare to other brands decisions, etc

I'd rather spend 30 dollars on a set of 12 brushes from BH cosmetics.Also the bag that comes with them is better quality.I remember a lot of people said whatever Jeffree said was 100% true.The brushes are like any typical brush,nothing special,and the cheap ass packaging felt cheap and it looked like it was going to fall apart.The price was not worth it.

Tbh whenever Jeffrey does a review he doesn't make me feel poor once in one of his videos makeup was about 28$ or something and he was like THATS WAY TOO MUCH FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS and I can actually appreciate that how he gets on my level lol

There’s a reason Jeffree is so successful. Because he’s as good a communicator as anyone who ever lived. He MAKES you like him. Every time I watch one of his videos I genuinely come away liking him.

In 2007 I bought Bobby Brown sable makeup brushes for $250. It’s 2021 and those brushes are soft, keep them clean, they never shed. Got my money’s worth. The packaging is sewn stitched black leather.

the best thing about him is that he is very aware the average person can't afford the most expensive stuff he uses in his videos so he always includes both expensive and cheaper alternatives, but something else to note that i think is great is the fact that he does not use expensive products simply to show off that he can afford them, but rather the fact that they are actually amazing products that to him (who has quite high standards) are actually worth the price so he actually believes in them / the brands

I love how Jeffree isn’t going in with a bad attitude and over dramatising every little thing he finds about the brushes. Instead he explains why it may not be desirable and what are definite negatives from a neutral perspective! Even educating us on the positives and negatives of synthetic and natural fibres ❤

imagine how much stuff you could actually buy for $360 rather than makeup brushes that come in a poorly made package, for $360 the least they could've done is improved the quality of the brushes a little more as well as changing the packaging and maybe lowering the price, you'd probably be able to find a much better makeup brush for less than $30 i reckon.

Right. Makeup brushes themselves can come in much cheaper, and $360 is rather expensive for a set of brushes. For the cost, JS expects high standards for the brushes. I would never buy brushes for $360. Even if I did, I would expect them to be made of some valuable materials and perform better than any makeup brush in the market.

I think he said awhile ago he’s going to make brushes exclusively with his own line down the road. What I like about Jeffree is he’s all about quality over quantity. He’s coming out with foundations and concealers which I’m so excited about. It might take a long time and we are anxious but I appreciate it bc I know it will be good since he takes his time and doesn’t rush shit out like Kylie just to make a buck. Lol
