Assalamalaykum from TURKEY, as a Dutch convert (37 years ago, Alhamdulillah) I enjoyed 30 for 30 during sahoor. I again learned so much, may Allah bless you all!

In the depths of our souls, we grapple with an agonizing question: How can we celebrate Eid when Gaza is engulfed in unimaginable devastation? As we revel in the joy of Eid, our hearts ache with the weight of sorrow for our beloved Palestinians. Their suffering, a stark reminder of the darkness that pervades our world. In the midst of this darkness, we cling to our faith, seeking solace in the mercy of Allah. Yet, our prayers feel heavy with the burden of injustice, as the cries of the oppressed echo in our ears. But even in the darkest of nights, a glimmer of hope remains. It is in our tears, shed for the innocent lives lost, that we find strength. It is in our prayers, whispered in the silence of the night, that we find comfort. This Eid, let us unite in solidarity with Gaza, our hearts intertwined with theirs in grief and determination. May our tears water the seeds of resilience, and may our prayers pave the way for a dawn of justice and peace. Aameen.

Ameen. To stand in solidarity with Gaza, I have decided NOT to have a glorious meal. Just something very simple in sha Allah and nothing extravagant. No desserts, No celebrations. How can anyone feel good to celebrate when the people are turning into skin and bones over there, not to mention the torture and persecution that's taking place. "Persecution is worse than slaughter" . May Allah curse allll of those involved in this Genocide. n plz don't lecture me, whoever is reading this comment about not cursing them...or go and listen to the lecture by Shaykh Dr. Omar Suleiman on what he said the Prophet (saw) said about ppl like this.

Dr. Omar's question was "What was the first surah revealed to the Prophet ﷺ in Juz 29 after receiving the first few ayat of revelation in Hira?" A. Surah Al ‘Alaq B. Surah Al Muddaththir C. Surah Al Muzzammil The answer is B. Surah Al Muddaththir.

I truly have one comment as I am in my 70's and feel as though I am not useful in my community. I have no commitments here, so I feel very connected to go to Egypt and help the Palestinian refugees there in Sha Allah Even though the visa is only 30.days. Then I thought I could contact a water project that I could work with in Yemen or another project in Sha Allah. I have always been active and I feel that I still need to be active until I really cannot until I cannot be. As Allah will be asking me especially why I didn't help these oppressed people when I had no ties here to hold me back like so many other women in Sha Allah. This really is my most sincere intention in Sha Allah.

Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ) EID SUNNAH'S 1. Reciting Eid Takbir ( Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. La ilaaha illallaahu Wallaahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar, Walil lahil Hamd.) when sunsets and on your way going to the salatul eid. 2. (For Men)Wear best clothing and apply perfume(non alcoholic) 3. Taking bath (Ghus!) after fajr, before going for salatul eid. 4. Eating Dates before going to salatul eid and eat them in odd number) 5. Praying outdoors in congregation (Eidgah) 6. All woman can attend (even woman in state of impurity) just to witness salatul eid, sit and listen to khutba. 7. Walk to masjid and walk back home 8. Go to salatul eid one way and go back home another way 9. Congratulate one another in eid 10. Pray eid, listen to khutba avoid haram things 11. Celebrate and spend Eid with your family and loved ones. -Not recommended to visit grave in eid -Avoid mixing and shaking hands with non mahram Also Copy & Share With Othes Eid Mubarak Everyone!

The first surah revealed to the Prophet ﷺ in Juz 29 after receiving the first few ayat of revelation in Hira B. Surah Al Muddaththir. Confirmed in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim on the authority of Abu Salamah that Jabir bin `Abdullah informed him that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ speaking about the time period (of the pause in) revelation. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "While I was walking I heard a voice from the sky. So I lifted my gaze towards the sky and saw the same angel who had come to me at the cave of Hira'. He was sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. So I fled from him (in fear) until I fell down to the ground. Then, I went to my family and I said, 'Wrap me up, wrap me up. So, they wrapped me up! So Allah revealed, (O you wrapped up! Arise and warn!)"
