It’s “Wox”. Trust I got the business pronouncing it wrong. So much so I couldn’t finish your video. I live here now and just couldn’t hear you say it wrong after the 4th time.
Woxahachie. That’s how it’s pronounced. No “a”. I moved there in 1982 when we only had one stop light located at the now Walgreens which used to be a Dairy Queen. Enjoy!

@@livinginfortworth New construction is just so high in DFW right now. What's a good area for single blacks with no kids? I travel a lot for work so I'm pretty flexible regarding location. I was considering Little Elm, Waxahachie, Grand Prairie and my realtor was recommending Celina and Fate.
Thanks and great video , what’s your opinion between here and Mansfield ? Diversity 👶🏾, real estate , and school districts

Good video! I’ve been listening to a few videos like this and I notice KZread realtors don’t really cover suburbs south of Dallas much. Would you say suburbs north of Dallas are more desirable than those south of Dallas? Why is that? Thanks!
@livinginfortworth
Жыл бұрын
Hi Kate. Just depends on what you’re looking for in a city and it’s location. Wouldn’t say “more desirable”. We’re working a few vids but have you seen our Cedar Hill video? kzread.info/dash/bejne/e4anyaOGebDVndY.html
We bought our house in Waxahachie back in 2002. We would not move here today. The taxes are ridiculous. The traffic is horrendous. It is growing way too much and the streets cannot handle it. Unfortunately , being very close to retirement with the interest rates as high as they are, and property prices up so high ,we are not able to move. But I would say that at least once a month my husband says I wish we could move , this traffic is horrible this is not the town we fell in love with. I can’t disagree. It is absolutely not the town we fell in love with when we bought our house 21 years ago.

It is a slower paced city compared to some others in the Dallas area. Just depends on what you are looking for.
it's pronounced Wox-a-hatchy. the population has probably doubled in the last 5 years, no new roads to handle the traffic. the traffic is crazy, the restaurants pretty much all suck, there's no good grocery shopping in the area, nothing for families. if you work in dallas you better prepare for a 1.5 hour drive on average, Fort Worth a little more.

Yes this girl doing all the talking has no clue to pronounce Waxahachie. Doubt if she has ever been there. 12 years ago when the wife both retired and wanted to move back home to Texas, we looked at property in Waxahachie. Could not believe how high the property and taxes was. 12 years later we are really glad we did not buy property there. Traffic is awful now. The city has not been able to keep up with the influx of people moving there.
