When I cant find an item at my work I just tell them it's either in a customer's cart or a customer has destroyed the packaging and its waiting to be written off. Which isn't even a lie, I just dont know if its the truth for that item. If it only has one location and it's not in its home, there is nothing I can do but possibly check the back if it was recently delivered

No matter how many times we told her to let us know when she's coming and wed give however many she wanted she never called ahead and always wanted like close to 2 dozen. I always told her we had 6 less than we did just so she didnt take all of them

I will never forget the time I went to Starbucks and, when the young lady said “hi,” I said “Good morning.” And she gave me my drink for free because I was the first person to say “hi” or “Good Morning” to her. I felt good that I’d made her morning a LITTLE more pleasant, but I also felt really bad that no one else, in the 3 hours they had been open at that point, had been polite or thoughtful enough to just say “hi!” I always try to be polite in the drive through now, not because I expect another free drink, but because I think everyone deserves respect and kindness! ESPECIALLY those who wield our caffeine fixes in their hands!!

I got the panera where I worked at sued for the lid thing. I won't bore you with the details but basically the hot teas were made with a tea bag and BOILING hot water. When I was handing a woman in the drive through her drink she went to grab the lid and the bottom of the cup, but I let go too soon and the hot water went all over her. I felt so bad and she asked to see my manager. I didn't talk to her again but my manager told me she sued us- I didn't get fired but quit not long after because it was a terrible place to work. I hope that woman is doing ok- I always double cupped the hot drinks after that so the outside was cooler. And no, they never trained me on how to safely give people boiling hot drinks.

My adult daughter works at a coffee house and says these NEW students this year are…well…different. She has noticed, they often come in small groups, huddle together and talk about what they want to order- and then only ONE will approach and will order for all of then instead of them getting in line. Which makes asking questions like “do you want whipped cream on the 4th one? difficult to answer without another conference. She says that tho most are college students-there seems to be a significantly higher number of them who seem autistic/special. They cannot look her in the eye when they order and stand sideways awkwardly. They just seem to be having a harder time adulting. They also will ignore what is in the case available and look online and assume all seasonal items are still available. They also ignore the store menu signs. She is very understanding of people’s different abilities but then she will get a Karen type from the southside who gets angry while waiting what is actually a longer than normal time for people to order. Karen is NOT wrong about her long wait but doesn’t need to berate the staff or write bad reviews. It’s literally NOT fast food and NOT the staff’s fault. And then they are real close to a shelter/ downtown hangout for the houseless. They have to watch for scammers stealing the tip jar but they also want their bathrooms and water to be available for them as many are not. They share day-old pasteries freely with them and an occasional cup of coffee. Sometimes they give a small gift card to the Dollar store to someone who seems they could really use a meal or just to have a better day, Can’t give so much that people expect it but try and be decent anyway. With these issues- Karens can go jump.

@@rexcarebear4701 I sling paint as a utility locator my guy. I see from an outsider view how entitled a lot of customers are. And while some baristas may catch an attitude I can assure you it’s a 20-1 ratio with Karens. Also if you aren’t a shit customer then why do you even care if this isn’t you…..? It’s obvious I was speaking of shit customers, yet you felt the need to bring an irrelevant topic in to the mix. Makes you kinda seem guilty lol. You yell at customer service don’t you?

On their other vids this is reasonable but on this one the complaint was about the customer being rude and incompetent and then expecting a free drink.

*sigh* Let's pretend you're, idk, a paralegal. I walk into your law office and tell you I want to hire a lawyer. Good. You do your job and ask some questions to direct me to an appropriate lawyer. I tell you it's none of your business, who do you think you are, stay in your lane, etc in a hostile, rude manner. That's not ok. Being a customer or client does not give you the right to be rude, harass employees, or demand others fix things because *you* made a mistake. Be polite and have some common decency. Especially to people who are handling anything you're about to consume 🙄
