The Trip To Spain - "Dinosaurs" I HD I IFC Films

Фильм және анимация

In theaters August 11th
Directed by: Michael Winterbottom
Starring: Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon
After jaunts through northern England and Italy, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon embark on another deliciously deadpan culinary road trip. This time around, the guys head to Spain to sample the best of the country’s gastronomic offerings in between rounds of their hilariously off-the-cuff banter. Over plates of pintxos and paella, the pair exchange barbs and their patented celebrity impressions, as well as more serious reflections on what it means to settle into middle age. As always, the locales are breathtaking, the cuisine to die for, and the humor delightfully devilish.

That is a fucking brilliant John Hurt. Especially the shape of Coogan’s mouth during “And Caligula…”

I'd love to see them do a trip to Ireland. There's comedy gold in that

"You just gotta be DECISIVE about where you put your FEET: THAT'S all". Oh dear: Partridge is never far from the surface, is he?

"Steve" is so Alan Partridge in the beginning: "scree-work".

@@Amethyst_Friend My last girlfriend always said that the reason I found The Trip, Alan Partridge, Saxondale etc so funny and engaging was that the protagonists were basically me, and I them ("And I them - a-ha!"). It's strange; one minute you're 20 with your long hair and cheekbones and Doc Martens; and in the blink of an eye you're 50 and looking at boots, trousers and t-shirts in a charity shop thinking, "That looks comfy. Reasonable price too." One one hand I feel maudlin when I remember the days of being sexy, shy and mysterious (I thought). But it's sad yet strangely satisfying to reach middle-age and just accept the general relaxed atmosphere of defeat.
