The Tree. Scary/Horror stories.
Ойын-сауық
#horror #horrorstories #scary #scarystories
On July 13th, 1995 in American Fork Canyon, Utah, 18 year old Cody Richins was hiking through a thick patch of aspen trees when he stumbled across a tree that had a name carved into it that sent fear surging through him.
What happened the 2nd time he ventured there was absolutely frightening, almost taking a deadly turn.
A year later to the day something happened that was both mysterious and disturbing.

@@alwyn626 I grew up here as well. American Fork Canyon and Mahogany Mtn are real places. Mahogany Mtn is near Timpanogos Mtn. Ted Bundy did kidnap a girl and they found her body in AF canyon. There is a cave people say Ted Bundy was in. I don’t know if the cave or this tree story is true but the places mentioned here are real.

... there are at-least 4 prominent locations featuring these proposed sites bearing "Bundy's initials or name" supposedly cast into the woodland backdrop of both pine and aspen. I used to live near one in Morgan, Ut. The authenticity of all of the sites is highly suspect, however... given the nature of the substrate they were carved into and the relative ease of differentiating the age of a softwood-species such as the aspen. It must be stated, though, the possibility does exist that, perhaps, that one of them is genuine... considering they were all sites that Bundy was most-certainly known to have passed through... and that Bundy appeared to have a unique proclivity for such idle carving. The one featuring his full-name and the subscript date of '76 found in San-Pete County being the strongest candidate. There was enormous celebrity attributed to this one in 1986 as it was discovered by the local sheriff's department. But, alas... even this-site really doesn't hold-up to much scrutiny as it simply doesn't match any of Ted's known carving-samples from his time in either trial or incarceration. The carving mentioned in this story near your area was discovered by a local bow-hunter and does... actually... roughly-match Bundy's style while featuring a '75 subscript; but it is carved into a tree-specimen that is much too-young for the date proposed. Clearly a copy-cat carving cast sometime after the notable story in '86.
@user-gj2il8fj5w
13 күн бұрын
... the 1986-case in San-Pete County was the instance with the greatest-chance of bearing any measurable veracity. Even-at-that... it was disproven after samples of Bundy's idle-carvings were openly compared... and proven to hold no connection. All further discoveries of these carvings throughout Northern Utah have been copy-cat cases where the substrate that the initials or names have been carved into have simply been too-young to have seen such events.
There is a place past Starke, Fl going toward Keystone that we found driving. It was in a forest, but something was weird. We were trying to find a place to turn around. In the center of the forest it was all dead. Just a place about the size of four large houses . We got out of the jeep and looked around. There were no animals, no birds, no bugs. It was dead quiet. It wasn't burned ,but all the trees looked like skeletons. It looked like a toxic waste dump. And I spotted something in the distance and it was a sign hammered to a tree. It said, " Bundy Park"

I think I have heard almost all your videos, all stories are well picked out, not unnecessarily elongated for the sake of suspense, I especially like the voice of the narrator, almost detached from the story, with a impersonal tone, and a very flat but engaging narrative. Recently I had subscribed to Grim whispers channel, with similar content although the voice of the narrator is also pleasant, but his stories are long winded in comparison. I enjoy your channel and look forward for more frequent uploads. Thanks have a good day.

Wow thank you very much for good words! It’s really appreciated!
Before I even listened to the story I knew because I saw that name carved there also in the mid-late '70's. It was on the way to a good fishing hole. My dad had come across it also on one of his fishing trips. This was after a number of girls had gone missing, and a certain individual had been arrested for the crimes. Police were trying to find where he may have dumped the bodies. Years later Anne Rule wrote a book about him that mentioned that police found this but never found any bodies nearby. Now I'll say what name I saw carved into a tree, then watch the video. TED BUNDY. (Sorry, hope ya'll watched the video before reading my comment.) OK, Now that I've listened I"lll say that many things happen in deep woods, and Bigfoot have been sighted in those mounntains. Luckily I saw no oozing blood, nor did my father mention it. This was carved 50 years ago when Ted Bundy was going to law school at the U of Utah. You'd think the police would have obliterated the name on the tree.
NGL, this one turned my stomach.
When I see lovers' names carved in a tree, I don't think it's sweet. I just think it's surprising how many people bring a knife on a date.
