@virtu givenchy In the Black Mirror Christmas episode at the end there was guy who was released from jail yet he couldn’t access any credit, no one could acknowledge him and he didn’t have a place to stay for a full year. It’s not much different than EDP except the latter’s tag as a social pariah may last for good as people make sure he is unemployed and there’s the possibility he may descend into committing crime, homelessness or prison (well if isn’t already in prison)

The sad thing about all this is that there's a lot more creators, celebrities and powerful people who do the same thing as EDP did, even worse at times, but they have enough charisma to get tons of people behind them where EDP is basically universally hated now. @@yisroelbinstokif your love interest is around the same age than you, then you can be in some sort of relationship with them. Although that doesn’t mean you can have intercourse with them, because it’s illegal and just so wrong unless both of you are above the age of 18 and both of you consented.

The issue is, he denied it the first time, made up stories saying it was an act, doubled down on his lies and then tries to meet another girl AGAIN. The only redemption would have been to turn himself in and do jail time. But he just doesn’t do that. In some way, he dug his own grave and did it to himself. Forgiveness is given to those who know what they’ve done and seek to do better.

What's so bizarre to me about this entire situation is the fact that EDP was cancelled (rightfully so might I add) & disciplined accordingly by all social platforms but James Charles still gets to post freely? Granted EDP was in the process of going to physically see who he believes was a 13 year old child... But at what point do we consider ones actions worthy of "cancellation"? EDP himself had a pattern of this behavior & never appeared to be remorseful until everything eventually caught up with him; however, can we not say the same about James Charles? Or is this a matter of one having a good legal team while the other doesn't have one? Is it our perception of predators targeting little girls vs little boys? Perhaps it's about who's generated more dollars for KZread or who's considered more of a physical threat? It's just very odd to me that one (rightly) gets the treatment you'd expect for this kind of behavior & the other can just move on & sweep it under the rug all while still being caught up in new controversy. Make it make sense.

And I think people are taking the cancellation thing too far, I mean, what else do you want him to do: basically to leave the country or to kill himself, exile or death? He could’ve, he got away with it for a short time, even after the catch, he could’ve admitted to his wrong doing but instead he was insanely egotistical to the point in which he was resilient in denying all the accusations (which have all been proven true) he never seemed remorseful, he never seemed apologetic. Again, he was given several chances to redeem himself and apologize and his dumb teenage audience would’ve more than likely found a way to forgive him: but instead he attempted to make a website and made a Facebook post calling out the specific people who exposed him (Coldraven, Master At Work, CC and Chet Goldstein) because he knew they had all the proof. He also seems way too addicted to social media, even attempting to create multiple socials and even a Bigo Live account in which he was caught interacting with kids, again. The fact that you guys claim (he was never given a chance) is dumb simply for the fact that he was but instead panicked and tried to deny everything.

Even if this was his only "slip-up", I'd argue he still deserves anything that comes to him. It's not a slip-up to prey on children. IMO it doesn't matter if it was one time or a hundred, it's still makes him a monster. Not saying you're defending him, but some people are seriously downplaying how serious this was. Sure, he didn't actually meet an underage girl (that we know of), but he fully intended to. He thought he was when he showed up.

She pretty much hacked him (Or got someone to hack him) to find his address, then stalked him to try to threaten him in to not making video's about her anymore. What KZread ended up doing was temporarily stopping money going to her main account for a bit (Dunno if it's back yet), but, this didn't matter, since she just used her second channel and started transferring all of the video's there. So, not only did she get someone's address by hacking, she also stalked him, put his address online, then when she was punished, avoided the ban by using a second channel, and KZread has done absolutely nothing about it.

Update: EDP was caught doing it again. Hopefully this time he gets put in jail

Unfortunately, the problem with preventing a person from earning money of any kind is it will force them to commit more crimes just to pay the bills.

I'm in the middle of the line here. What he has done cannot be pardoned. But this also sets a precedent that the internet, if they want to, will RUIN you to the point of no return. It wouldn't surprise me if he did kill himself, but if the internet/cancel culture really wanted to get at you for life, many people will have their lives completely ruined, and will more than likely kill themselves. I don't know, I mean people have all kinds of different histories and experiences. They may have a loved one who was victimized, maybe lost her life. If you can't get that guy, at least you can make it your business to warn people about this one- who knows, maybe if someone had warned your community...? Some people have sexual exploitation in their own history and they feel like they are like taking their power back. I'm guessing there are a lot of people who feel personally betrayed, and like they inadvertently supported someone who hurts children, and now they feel compelled to act in some way that may neutralize this monster they helped create. @@dmdeign7116 The reason why pedos are dangerous is that theyre hiding and never coming out for theraphy. if theyre hunted they will be hiding and when theyre hiding theyre even more dangerous. with alone their toughts and internet and kids. studies also show that 70% of pedos have been sexually abused as children, so its also inherited by the act. and basiacly were making more pedos and making them more dangerous by trying to hunt pedos down. there should be more programs and help for people to come out and get some help before they do anything stupid, since people living and hiding alone in isolation makes people insane, and being pedo and insane is bad compination. we save more children by trying to help pedos before they do anything stupid. we dont save more children by trying to murder every pedo we meet. thats why they are dangerous, because we cant know whos where and when. we should offer help, let them get rehab they need before their sickness touches kids. its win win and nobody needs to be killed. amen.

It’s sad how trolls were trying to ruin his life, coming after him at his jobs.

I did not know about this person at all other than as a meme image but this story is crazy.

The idea that because someone did something "unforgivable" gives everyone the right to make sure he loses everything permanently, jobs, money, shelter, etc. is such a terrible thing. In a situation like that wouldn't you want someone to recover and return to being a functional member of society? like you caught him, it's a decoy, this is the key opportunity to get this guy some help before it happens for real. Barraging him with vigilante harassment to not just ruin what he has, but ensure he never has anything again is the exact opposite. I saw another comment say the guy will snap and I can believe it, the guy doesn't have a family to fall back on or a job he has to keep. or even a record at this point he can hold onto. Like are you going to harass him until he starts offing people or himself?

@@rustyshackleford3701 Letting him hold a job and have a place to live and have him go about his life after what would probably be years of therapy and/or jailtime, I think is the best route. I'm not saying you should let him start babysitting right out of prison, but I am saying that constantly forcing him out of society for the rest of his life will do more harm than good. There comes a point eventually where you've already dealt enough punishment to compensate for a crime, and then it just becomes malicious. Let the law do the punishing, the rest of you get lost.
