Playing splitscreen was exactly the same though and not everyone is your friend. They are probably the same people as well, just constantly look at other peoples screens without making any effort and make up some excuse like ''yeah my eyes just work like that.'' And then later they will try to find ANY excuse to convince people you are also looking on screens when you're just using your ears or like to throw random grenades in maps you don't even know. The evenings were fun until you realize there is someone like that in the group and people are done precisely because of the cheaters and fun ruiners. Better to just play games where there is no strange drama because people can't handle it.

I know their character/patterns very well, because one of my own family member is such a type of individual, lol. Trust me, it's literally impossible for these types of people to truly own up and take responsibility for any negative things they do to others. And expect no mercy from such types of people. (Plus the human mind is infinitely subjective in nature, so they can and will fully justify every of their own behaviors till the very end. you clearly need to think about the consequences of banning a streamer before giving that opinion tho lmao. he didnt ruin anyone’s game, just one round, for a few ppl. then they decided to ruin his life. Edit just to avoid ppl replying without my corrections: 1- i dont think it ruined his life, just his career, which i still think is too much for what he has done 2- i dont support cheating by any means (he definetely wouldnt cheat again) 3- im not supporting an exception for him, im just saying they shouldnt track him down and delete any new accounts. other cheaters wouldve done the same and could still play the game (and would probably cheat again, something that he wouldnt) just be respectful lol, its not even a sensitive topic for yall to be so pissed. im genuinely impressed for the extremely low amount of ppl who replied respectfully

@11:02 I sympathize with and believe the Dev when he said he didn't realize his mod was active. As a longtime software dev myself, to accelerate the testing process we add backdoors like this used during the testing phase and from constantly switching from dev to player modes I totally understand actually running in debug mode when you didn't mean to. All developers have at some point.

Exactly! We have debug menus that grant us additional bonuses or ways to test the game, but of course these should be used only for testing or internal games. Against players it's a no-no, so obviously a dev would not risk his career to win unfairly in his own game. Most likely he was just testing stuff before and forgot to turn it off before the game

Jarvis’s apology was: “I just wish I had known how severe the consequences were at the time and I would have never thought of doing it.” Dude still only thought about himself and not the fact that he was ruining the game for others, even after getting banned for it. I’m glad the devs made an example out of that type of thinking. That wasn’t crying for how he ruined the game for others, it was crying for how he didn’t get away with it.

I see so many content creator uploading offstream videos where they are just brilliant and on stream they never come close to that . I mean it’s related to the mobile fps games but still , it’s getting so common these days !

I have done a lot worse than that by mistake. You can forget you do stuff. On Garry's Mode I log into a random Trouble In Terrorist Town server and immediately get Traitor. After killing somebody I see in admin chat 'why did the wall stab me'. Lowe and behold, my player model was an entire wall. I was pretending to be afk. He was trying to figure out why he could walk through a wall. I revived him and killed myself, laughing my ass off. I never told him what happened either. xD

I was a big gamer back in the CS, RainbowSix, CoD, Unreal, Quake, Doom95, and Halo days. And spent thousands of hours getting it all done, with one thing... I never thought anyone could cheat while Online Versions of these games outside Single Player. 4/20/2024, I stand Corrected. As huge as a Gamer I was, I always heard other players accuse me via Mic, that I was cheating. I just 'got good' before a lot of people. Second, I heard my teammates always make statements like, "He killed me! He's cheating!" and I would always follow up with, "No way. You can't cheat online. They got lucky, or know the map really well." Well, I learned today, there might have been an Aim Bot, I always thought it was a myth.

@@digitalcurrents The player stated the org didn't know about him cheating, which may be the case. If they didn't know then it isn't their fault. That means plenty of players/staff lost their jobs and careers because of something someone else did. I don't know for sure (maybe they knew) but if they didn't I feel bad for them.

It's clear that he thought there was a difference between covert cheating done regularly & overt cheating done once, and there is, but the idea that he would just brazenly go on stream, boast about how epic all of the hax he's got installed are, then make hype noises while bodying everything in sight with cheats still just beggars belief
