I did the ending where I took out Johnny out my head but felt bad months later cause he told me why he’s like this and he express himself to me he didn’t have to but he did an when I decided to remove him he was like v no he’s face was priceless and funny love cyberpunk

I prefer the Nomad ending with V retaining control of their body. V is actually happy and at peace in the end.

That scene where they and Panam are over the water together and throwing Misty’s necklace away made me fucking bawl during the credits. I know it’s not a happy ending, but it was full of hope. I love it so damn much.

i like that ending cuz V leaves and silverhand's gone. Time for new legends in Night CIty, Arasaka might have taken a blow but NC still needs fixing, presents as a perfect way for 1. a new ttrpg 2. multiplayer?

I wish there was a combination of The Star and (Don't Fear) The Reaper. Blow the hell out of Arasaka in a one V crusade, send Johnny in peace off with Alt, declare screw this city, and leave with the nomads. One thing it doesn't fix is the Nomads money problems which is what lets them leave Night City, but it could be explained that they're leaving because their associating with you puts them at risk from reprisals anyway and forces them to leave and they agree to take you with them.

Up until now I didn't realize how much in common V has with David.

V would've also gone cyberpsycho if not for his / her strong friend group and the biochip "soul killer". The creator Mike Pondsmith himself said that David went Cyberpsycho because he lost his mother and most his friends at an early age. Added to that he didn't have the Soul Killer biochip so he didn't have an Engram of a person in his head to bear the weight of the psychosis like V had.

Dunno about V eventually going cyberpsycho, he def seemed to have by the end of the game a stronger support system than David, sp in the Adelcados ending, and he didn't go as overboard with military cyberware as David went.

My V was a Street Kid who stormed Arasaka tower alone. I couldn’t have the deaths of V’s friends on his heart. So I chose the loner path to save them. The only people who have to die are V and Adam Smasher.

I enjoyed the video, I would like to add that in most paths V gets those who helps them killed. Johnny teams up with Rogue, Rogue dies. V Teams up with Aldecaldos: Most of the Aldecaldos die. Surrendering your soul to Arasaka or the secret ending where you storm Arasaka Tower alone, are the only endings I know of that no friends die.

SPOILERS: ....... I think the ending where you side with Arasaka and either surrender or don't are actually the worst endings. Not for you as an individual, but society as a whole. There is a reason you get to watch the news while laying in bed. It is the game blaming you for the further divide between the poor and the rich, and how you supported the bad guy. In the other endings, you never touch a hair on Yorinobu's head, which helps him in his own plans and is the reason the other endings seem far more personal. So, you can choose to let yourself and/or your friends die, or you doom society for selfish reasons.

when you go to clouds, V jacks into a system with an algorithm literally designed to scan people and determine their deepest darkest desire, and it determined that what V wanted most was nothing but a moment of warmth, safety and reassurance.

V is not a cyberpunk after the Johnny secret ending he’s a legendary Solo

Just finished the game a few days back. My V was a girl with a Corpo background. At first it was hard to know if giving her that background was the right call, but after finishing the game and choosing the ending i chose, it definitely was. Johnny Silverhand really impressed me in many ways; after all the trash people talked about the game i wasn't expecting characters and stories that could rival The Witcher series, but i was pleasantly surprised. The relationship between V and Johnny was really fun, interesting and depressingly entertaining from start to finish. Only issue i really have with the game is how short the story is. You could argue Wild Hunt's story isn't all that long if you just ignore everything else, but that's why you have Heart's of Stone and Blood and Wine.

Cyberpunk is beautiful in so many ways. I think Cherami Leigh did an amazing job doing Female V. And Keanu Reeves never disappoints. I'm personally looking forward to the Phantom Liberty DLC because the main story is indeed too short

@@VIPER.V Don't know if it's the same for the people who decide to go with male V, but i just can't picture the character without that voice anymore. She really has her own personality, aside from being the main character and the player's way of interacting with the world. Phantom Liberty sure sounds interesting and its announcement + Edgerunners were the things that got me into Cyberpunk as a genre. Hope is at least as lasting and interesting as Blood and Wine, but so long as it delivers more fun interactions and quality storytelling, I'll be satisfied.

@@addictedtochocolate920 I went with corpo female v my first playthrough and I'm going to be finishing my new playthrough of nomad male v literally tomorrow. I was worried i wouldn't like male v's voice after playing female v for so long. I'll admit, it felt odd at first because I was so used to the female voice, but I assure you, if you play male v, you'll end up loving him just as much! I feel like they both fit the role perfectly, so you should definitely give it a shot!

Also my favorite male v voiceline is when skippy starts singing and v responds with "What are you doing!?" He adds a little laugh in his words and it felt so natural. Both of the voice actors for v are so talented :)

Honestly a really interesting break down considering both V and David are just normal people trying to move forward in a "successful way" but similar to David, V is pulled into a life where it becomes about making yourself stand out and this leads to them being involved with the corps and depending on the option v does get a choice. But at this point it wouldn't even matter what they did because death is a likely outcome or an actual outcome either way.

About Jackie… So u basically have a choice where to send his body and YES the best choice is home, I really think he would want this…but didn’t you ever though about exact moment when Del delivered Jackie to his mom? Delamain taxi suddenly contacts you (just a reminder this service IS quite expensive, especially excelsior package), telling you to go outside. You open back door - there’s your little boy. Dead. Bleeding on the backseat. It’s night and you alone, just staring at your most precious one in the entire universe. It’s done.

I picked Nomad V and the Nomad ending because I wanted him to be free, all he ever knew in Night City was pain but all I wanted V to be was happy with Panam none the less who is the light in his bleak life. Even with 6 months left to live at least he would be happy with her and I think everyone deserves that chance in Nightcity.

Yeah, I did the same thing. The Nomads are capable explorers and they went far away from Night City as well. That's how V has great experience, not just in Night City, but also OUTSIDE of it. Far away. Other than that, it's also because I want to make sure that Panam doesn't lose V just like how Lucy lost David in Cyberpunk Edgerunners. (After I kill Adam Smasher of course)

scary part about cyberpunk world is that our current society is almost going that way minus the tech, where poor kept being poor and abused with almost no way out.

Ngl I gave Johnny my body because while it felt like the best thing to do, it was also technically the "best' ending since everyone lives in a way. V doesn't die in 6 months, he lives forever in cyber space, and Johnny can just live out the rest of my body's natural life.

Cyberpunk gender in general has this claustrophobic hopeless vibes we can see in almost every Cyberpunk movie, book or anime and Cyberpunk 2077 depicted it with perfection just like the Edgerunners anime did. But the game hits stronger when you understand that V did never had a option to change everything after the prologue. V's death sealed not with the chip but when decided to work for Dexter and you cannot change it, Johnny cannot change it and no one can and tou play through the entire game running in circles trying to find a cure but can't find anything and anyone that can help you...I mean, you find some people that helps you on the endings but its not on purpose, they help you to fight but not in your problem directly and that's why the most logical ending is the worst one "The Fear of The Reaper" matches this vibes and the game perfectly... And I hate it. I'm saying this before the DLCs and before a future Cyberpunk so maybe the devs solve V's problem someway... I really hope so. Just for a comparison on how the game is depressing and claustrophobic. On Edgerunners we feel the tragic life of David and see how bad it ended but David basically died from cyberpsychosis had the option to stop using implants until the last 2 or 3 episodes. If we do a paralel comparison with real life David would die addicted in alchohol and V would die by cancer while trying to find a cure through the rest of her life

I found myself preferring the aldecaldos ending for V specifically. For one, it drops a hopeful note that there still might be some help for V in Arizona. And more importantly, Night City didn't consume V lime in the other endings. He found a true family in spite of Night City's subterfuge, deceit and overall atmosphere of distrust towards anyone

I played all the pathways and I feel like the path I like most is the male street kid because when V talks to padre and says he tried to leave night city before he was brought back like a prisoner going back to prison and with the side quests especially playing a key factor saying that night city is a curse that isn't part of the NUSA (look it up) you with the nomades with panam at your side take on night city's mega corp and help the nomads rise from the ashes and V the loner has a true family which not even David was able to do no matter how hard he tried

After having Johnny stuck in your head most of the game it makes sense to give him the chance to achieve what he couldn't while he was still alive, bringing a degree of closure. The Sun also makes sense because V is an all or nothing character. With nothing left to lose then there is all to gain. Ending guns blazing fits the character better than simply leaving Night City in general.

The thing I love about this game is that it does one thing with all its endings that most games don't ever do: It writes all its endings in a way that makes them feel like ANY of them could be canon. IMO, I really like both The Star & the Temperance endings, as they give you a much more hopeful vibe for Johnny or V. However, I agree that V is an "all or nothing" kind of person. And that's why the "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" + The Sun is my personal canon ending, as it really demonstrate how "all-in" V is, how powerful they've become over the course of the narrative, & how strong their bond with Johnny has grown overtime. Plus, nobody dies in that ending, which is nice, too!

Just feel like V deserves that final event that will turn them into a legend before giving up their lives, allowing Johnny to have another go at life, but crippling Arasaka and going out with a bang in the process

Corpo v is cannon I think, it makes the most sense. To beat the corps you would need inside knowledge, you don’t get that in the other paths. The relationship with Jonny is also much more better and suits the cyberpunk universe well. The leg dart silverhand ends up with a former corpo rat. I’d say suicide ending has to be cannon too consider blue eyes makes an appearance

late af to this vid but it gives me ideas for what the Orion could implement. I am just imagining this system where you can lead your crew into gigs where theyd act as backup (assign a netrunner to have constant camera control, spotting enemies and delaying Alerts) and assign smaller jobs to members to gain info/resources for larger gigs. I'm not sure how well that would actually play and it might go against the way CDPR want the games to play.

Night City is unforgiving for many indeed.

Street Kid V was most likely an orphan who's parents either abandoned them or were killed by gangers (that one is more likely because Night City) and learn learned fast how to rely on themselves to survive on the streets. Nomad V realized their clan, the Bakkers, was dying and that by joining the Snake Legion was a bad idea for the clan, but Clan leadership didn't want to hear it. So he was exiled and left alone in the wasteland. Corpo V was working with a bunch of assholes whom they knew was another day away from betraying them.

considerign they are working on Orion and they are calling it the direct sequel of 2077 and the theories of a cut character called Angel being Alt that came back in a new body and how she is/was looking for johnny its gonna be interesting specially since its basicly confirmed the alt we meet is not alt herself but an ai that absorved some of her data

@@VIPER.V In cyberpunk? I move alot and fast, prefer wall piercing weapons, Lizzy s gun is my favourite, I think its the fastest weapon in the game and accessible pretty soon. I usually do alot of cash and ncpd hustle gigs in the beginning for exp and locate some recipes for weapons and attachments. I hack into cameras later in the game to take the enemy out with suicide and short circuit hacks. I am pretty much a pistol person so I use silenced revolvers in stealth missions for headshots. I like the optical camo legendary version which makes you invisible for 15 seconds plus double jump legs for cyberware. Easy to move around and dodge the enemy since I kinda try to move like in Doom Eternal heh. Combat loop! If you are referring to the original tabletop Cyberpunk, heh then I will have to think about my answer longer, over two decades since I last rolled the dice in that one. Glorious days.

There are 3 cannon endings in my opinion. Corpo with Hanako. Street kid Johnny and Rogue. Nomad with either Panama or Judy where you end up leaving Night City as a Legend.

I think the don’t fear the reaper is the canon ending in my opinion

Possibly the only non depressive ending in the whole game.

Can someone tell if they changed the ending with the blackwall? Because in my first playthrough I chose that ending and I was playing johnny, even in the digital world where Alt is. There I had the choice to either take V's body or go with Alt. But in the videos I saw recently you can only give V his body back.

Some may call it tragic, but I call it live like a baller and then go with a big bang

Corpo male V feels the most canon

I wished the street kid opening was better, like how tf didnt V and jackie know each other when V is a regular at mama welles bar and is known and respected by the padre. Didnt make a lick of sense

Corpo v to me is cannon. You have a much longer history with jackie and he juxtaposes the cold realities of the corpo world. Corpo v is a counter intelligence soldier with advanced cyberware and weapons training. Corpo v is the most knowledgeable and dangerous v and when you raid the araska tower by yourself or with the aldecaldos it is way more sweet as you destroy the corporation who threw you out to the dogs and you walk away no longer alone and in a tight knit community witth the aldecaldos

I think the point of cyberpunk is that everyone's life is somewhat tragic. Especially, for thoughs that try to aim higher. Even legends don't escape it. Rogue, Johnny Silverhand, Atom Smasher, all meet a bad end. Saburo Arasaka, over a century old. The richest, and aruguably the most powerful man on the planet doesn't die peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by loved ones. Quite the opposite. He is murdered, by his own son, in the tower with his last name on it. Oh the irony. And the new dlc doubles down on that bleakness. A true distopian masterpiece.

My first playthrough I took the easy way out ending on accident.

What I'm thinking their gonna pull off a mass effect 2 on us. You know where we saw Shepard die at the beginning just to be brought back to life. I think they gonna make it so V survived and we can continue the story.

I can't imagine Cyberpunk 2077 with another main character. I hope V doesn't die in the DLC.

@Viper V from what I heard it takes place in the middle of the events of the game so no V won't die. Just content I think shouldn't have been removed.

five times and always Temperance. tried suicide once, path of glory, the latter felt so damn immature. temperance is the only true one for me. every other ending, including everyone's favourite 'Panam ending', is just fucking delusional. coming to terms with your death, learning to accept the inevitable is what requiers guts.

As much as I feel fear the reaper is the actual true ending, the suicide ending is the one that resonates with me lol

The only thing I don't like about V is the constant, "tough guy" talk, or rather the way the character speaks in a condescending tone.

In a city with such a high crime rate and making a living as a mercenary, making enemies left and right is hard to drop the act of tough guy.

The panam ending is better

I think canon version was him going by him self 😈💯 nobody dies

You get it on your last mission when you choose to join the Aldecados. Panam gives it to you.

Kinda weird how your summary of the ending kinda merged some of the different outcomes, but I enjoyed the summary. Also, I personally feel like the ending of V's story is open-ended. (As with either the Nomad Ending, or "Night City Legend" Ending, V is offered a chance at survival. Either from the mysterious "Blue-Eyes" upon succeeding in the Heist, or by Panam and her "connections") So I like to believe it's up to the player in the end if V ever managed to find a way to cure themselves of their condition.

That's the beauty of Cyberpunk's endings. They're made in a way that the one's that make you feel a certain way can be considered Canon in your own individual mind.

I think V is going to be CDPR's own Morgan Blackhand. They'll never say if he's alive or dead, or say specifically what he did. Just name drop him as someone's idol who stormed the tower and then disappeared forever. That way you can fill in what happened and not have it conflict with your canon. V was a legend who died alone (or with kerry/river) in his mansion but it was hidden by the media out of respect (legend) V was a legend who went missing on a spaceship (corpo or legend) V went missing (nomad or corpo) V is in a borg body somewhere alongside Adam wrecking hell (corpo)

You told the story in well organized fashion, u just mispronounced a few names like judy alvarez and panam but u did a good job

I hate the ending’s. Yes, Night City is a depress fest bad place, I get that…but the writers could have provided one ending which didn’t involve a horrible end for V.

@@dylanm00re there is no canon V both female and male are canon but recently CDPR seem to like female V more they include her in everthing from Eadgerunner trailer to Phantom DLC trailer too.

I've been thinking the same thing while doing my first play through of the game. V's story is so damn tragic. But I've also been wondering how the story will progress in Phantom Liberty. Like will we get a new protagonist? Or will V come back from that space casino and continue the story. Cant wait to see!

The DLC will probably be before you enter the point of no return mission.

Panam's ending is the best V he got the best girl and ending at that point if only his boy Jackie was alive.
