Wearing a face mask could be tough, especially if you have to work with one on all day. But did you know that residents of Miyake-jima, a small island off the coast of Tokyo, Japan, had to carry and wear gas masks for years? Let’s get into it.

I think many families that are in a disaster-prone area with possible evacuations make "bug-out" bags of their most prized possessions and emergency supplies in case they are needed. Even if they are never needed, the possibility of leaving your whole material possessions and your sense of security and safety is scary. Edit for clarification.

There's another volcano called Soufrière Hills on the British island of Montserrat its 1995-1997 eruptions caused the capital Plymouth to be evacuated, burnt, and buried in ash. It's still the de jure capital of the island (until a new capital is built), which makes it the only ghost town that serves as the capital of a territory. And to this day, half of the island is an exclusion zone as a result of the volcanic activity. Plymouth is the Pompeii of the Caribbean

In that case though the mask was needed because of toxic fumes, and the masks didn't need to be worn in buildings for hours, just when walking to and from places outside. Masks currently do, for something that unlike toxic volcanic gas isn't fatal to most (and many don't even get severe symptoms), and people have to wear it inside which hinders development of facial recognition in children in particular, especially when children aren't even at much risk to get Covid any moe serious than the flu. Edit: When i say "facial recognition" I don't mean technology, I mean a child's basic capacity to recognize facial expressions that develops early on and is harmd by all this mask-wearing for something they aren't at risk for.

Pompeii is cool and all. It's actually absolutely amazing, but if you really wanna see in detail more about roman life, herculaneum is the best. The lava and the pyroclastic flow preserved everything so well. It's literally like walking into a town. Whereas pompeii feels like walking into a shell of a town although you can still feel the hustle and bustle. Aswell as the graffiti from the kids in pompeii. We have not changed. There's a few that say stuff like "maximus was here" in latin

Hey Brew, love your videos, they are always so exciting and informing :D I just noticed 1 small "error" in this video at 8:46. Here, you show a molecular model of sulfur dioxide, but with 2 yellow "balls" and 1 red "ball". Sulfur dioxide is made of 1 sulfur atom and 2 oxygen atoms. Traditionally and almost universally, sulfur is colored yellow and oxygen is colored red in molecular models, so the model should contain 1 yellow "ball" and 2 red "balls". I only tell you this, because I know you care about conveying the most correct information to us, and I thought you would like to be made aware of it. Have a nice day :D

Well, there are two volcanoes in Taiwan, one on Guishan island (which directly translates to turtle mountain island, because it looks like a turtle of the cost of Yilan), and a group of volcanoes near Taipei (in New Taipei and Kellung) , and there are a lot of volcanic islands, most are territory of Taiwanese counties (for example, Greeen island (not to be confused for Greenland) and Orchid island in Taidung), and sonme are big enough for it to be a seprate county (for example Punghu county).
