The Virginia Delegates love the DHC-2 Beaver! We’ve at least a half dozen of them between us all. Great news that they have re-released it so we can get replacement parts to keep our originals in the air.
I had one of these. It did the best rudder flat turns.
Looking at the assembly I realize I had that model with another paint and I loved it.

How do you set up the transmitter

That is a good question but unfortunately I can't make recommendations out there for every transmitter. I only know what I fly on and that has at least 4 different operating systems (that I know of) since it is an open-source radio. My suggestion would be to reach out to your local club for help. www.modelaircraft.org/club-finder
