The pictures on the Thernaltake page show space for only 3 PCIE slots. It seems it will not fully support micro ATX.

Not gonna lie: All case makers and motherboard manufacturers from now on should put the cable inputs on the back. Yes, they'll now have to have more defined standards as to the positions of all the plugs so that the MB tray has proper cutouts in the proper places. First, yes it makes it cleaner looking. But second, man I'm thinking of those front IO connectors and whatnot along the bottom of MB's, it would be SO much easier to see where the hell you're plugging shit into. Heck all of it, any plug, would be so much easier to get at. Hell I'm also the guy who thought it would be a better idea if things like the 24-pin power connector would plug in from the SIDE of the MB, so you dont have this big chonk of cables coming up out of your MB and then bending back to slot through a grommet. Just have it come out to the right, and right out a grommet. So much cleaner.

Definitely a fan of moving the connections to the back of the motherboard. It’s not only aesthetic, but can serve a functional purpose too. Component installation/upgrade will be a lot easier without multiple cables in the way, less cables to impact airflow in the case, etc. I really hope it catches on. I’m also loving all the new case colours. It’s about time we get more options than the usual black, white, or occasional grey; particularly with mid-tower and larger cases.

So does that mean we have to get entirely new MB?

I like the hidden cable design, cleaner builds ftw. Feels similar to how some fans don’t need that unsightly cable mess with the seamless connectors (huge for ARGB fans). Also, it helps for getting to harder-to-reach specific cables without having to take out interfering components when you need reinstall/uninstall. I just hope it’s not going to be prohibitively expensive for more budget PC builds.

I think motherboards with weird plastic covers are very strange, I still like my motherboards free from that stuff unfortunately you can’t buy them anymore. I’d also love to have green/beige boards, but that’s also long gone and a nice red ATI card to go with it! I’ve never thought a person on this planet would see welding points on an electrical device as a problem. I’m curios, how old are you? Don’t need to tell me it down to the year but I think you weren’t around before the era of plastic covers and weirdly designed boards who like like manga stuff. I don’t think other people who also had gaming PCs in the nineties would’ve even noticed those soldering points, so good eyes man haha. I wish you all the best, it’s funny how the perception changed over the years. I just ordered the tower 200 for my new build, and I love it’s design, but I also love my 2006 Thermaltake Swing where my XP gaming rig is in. It’s a lovely aluminum case from the world cyber games 2006! I’d love to show you a picture of how good it looks with tue amazing brown golden Asus board that has copper heatsinks connected with a big copper heatpipe and the lovely Zalman cnps 9900 tower cooler in copper! If I can’t show it to you, it’s at least worth it googling that sick cooler! It’s to this day the best looking air cooler on the planet and funnily you can still use it on modern sockets ! You just shouldn’t put it on the most powerful cpus these days I guess, I don’t know how much watts it can blow away.

@@rolux4853 I've been building PCs for almost two decades (my username is a very good hint at how old I am). The point I was making is that the idea of that motherboard is to hide the cables for a "sleeker" look, well, what's the point in hiding the cables if you're still gonna show where they usually are so clearly with those soldering points? Having those showing isn't stealth.

I think the "no cables" design is very appealing. Looks good, and anytime you need to plug or unplug cables, it can all be done with access not hindered by, and your hands not having to navigate around, a GPU, cooler towers, fans, water tubes etc. And if dust build up in your case is terrible, it's also easier and less messy to clean the dust accumulated on your cables. As you brush the dust off, it won't then rest on your other components, or settle around the various chips on the motherboard. The visual improvement is the obvious change, but really it is just a bonus. And I think that neat cable layout is only possible with a cables-hidden design. Cos with the traditional design, some of the cables just aren't long enough to be routed with all 90deg angles. Some cables need to go diagonal and that to an OCD like me, just looks horrible when everything else in a PC build is either horizontal or vertical. Doesn't matter to me whether the back panel is glass or opaque. I still know the non-uniform state of the cables inside. Lol....

I'm using the T-100....and I absolutely want the T-200, that display is awesome!! The loss of glass on the sides is unfortunate (it's kind of the main reason I like the 100, it allows for placement anywhere on your desk and it looks great), but that screen kind of makes up for it. Actually, I'm really liking what I'm seeing from Thermaltake here, those magnetic fans are pretty cool....definitely going with them again on my next build. I love seeing other tech-tubers on your channel. Before seeing this I was watching other people's coverage of computex looking for other people I recognize in the back ground, but you made it easy.

I think having the cables behind the case should be the new norm for upcoming case and motherboard designs, this imo makes building much easier and wires more manageable especially if you have alot of RGBs in your build. Also saves you a bit of money buying custom cable sleeves.

another bonus of putting cables on the backside will be maintenance for custom water cool builds. since everything will be at the back, it might be easier to get to those headers that are often blocked by rads and tubes and things. it could also create a whole new slew of issues but you never know.

Hey Paul, great video. I've the tt100, and really like it.and yeah the 140mm limitations are noted by me. I do like the 3 sides glass in the 100 though. I will consider the 200 for my next build- hopefully later this year. Cheers

Tower 200 looks sick! I have the tower 500 and think it's a nice fit for Full size ATX, but if I was low on space the 200 works great.

Paul is one of the last of the big tech tubers to not become a cranky dick, or tell us they are moving away from the tech space, or become so big...they are the tech industry...

Love the idea of having the cables come out on the back, but also hate the idea of having to buy a specific motherboard and a specific case for it to work. But if there was some sort of standardisation, would be all for it :)

I really like the cable connectors at the back as I don't have to jam my thick fingers between all the components to connect fan/case cables to the motherboard. This design makes it a lot easier to connect cable as I can see where everything is after installing all the components in the front.

I like the clean motherboard aesthetic for reasons like easier custom watercooling fixturing. The less clutter you have in the front, it is easier to layout your hardline lines. It will complement better. I also like the reverse swappable magnetic fans. Thermaltake is doing some good stuff!

Cables on the back seems like a good idea, not mainly for aesthetics, but to not have all the issues with tight spots putting in cables on an installed board.

Love the cables that plug into the back thing, i want it to become a standard i think it makes so much more sense.

I really like having the plugs on the back. And the magnetic daisy-chain fans are very cool. I'm not a fan of having all the plumbing on display. Keep up the good work and keep showing us more awesome stuff.

Back facing cable connectors seem to make things WAY easier, especially that CPU power connector, and front panel connector. Those two would make building a bit quicker since you dont have to pre plug CPU power top connectors before the cooler goes on.

Love the M-ATX case! Just finished a build and now I'm going to have to pick up a Tower 200. More m.2, RAM and PCIe slots is never a bad thing. Non proprietary fans is awesome too.

I'm loving the fact that a plethora of cases are now airflow focused.

It looks like having all the cables on the back would make them much easier to plug in. Aesthetics aside, that seems like a big plus to me. I would be interested if more cases/motherboards started to support that. Thanks for a great video! Excited to see what other cool things you've found at Computex.

I kinda like that magnetic connection function of the fans. I wouldn't mind if mobo's could use that feature or something better than pins.

G'day Paul, Joe & Dimitry, I like the Tower, especially now as the 200 fits M-ATX & 240/280Rad. I will be definitely having a look how much they are down here in Australia when launched.

First time seeing this (been out of the PC building game) thats a very slick case. imagining it on my desk.

The best part of that special TUF motherboard is the connectors on the very bottom for the case and usb 2.0. They suck to get at for so many reasons and in that arrangement they are all so easy to access. I just bought a new motherboard and CPU that I expected to last a long time but that is something I could be convinced to spend money on.

As a tower 100 owner, while i do like the look of this case, i kind hope they would just make an official 240mm aio bracket for the original. Especially sense you can remove the side panels on the case.

I would love to see the standard shift to plugs (and NVMe drives) on the back! Not because I hate cables, but because I like to tweak things in my computer, and having the stuff on the back makes it much easier to plug/unplug components!

Oh, the tower 200 looks exactly like what I want. A smaller case that is not just box and has room for a full loop cooling setup. Very happy with the upgrade from the 100.

I like the idea of cables on the back because it makes plugging everything in so much easier. No more fighting to get your hand around the cooler and under the top of the case to plug the CPU power in. It's both clean and practical. Now imagine combining that with that new GPU that supplies the PCIE power through another pin set on the motherboard.....Clean.

I like some of the cables on the back SOLELY because some cables can be difficult to route around the plate - length, angle, etc. The M.2 on the back was pretty cool. And I think it makes some things easily accessible if someone has custom water cooling. Can change a power supply without needing to reach through tubes.

I had a tower 100 in my cart last night didn't pull the trigger cause of the 120 rad only but this I'm buying right away I also like the mesh in the sides versus the glass for better airflow that new light green is awesome def going to be my choice The case with the cables in the back is sick a lot of stuff ends up in the back anyways it makes sense and looks way better

I always wanted the TT Tower 900, but having the GPU upright and right next to a glass panel always made me nervous. Glad to see the smaller towers have the mesh side panels. I hope their AIOs have improved tho, I have the TT Ring Floe premium 360mm and haven't been very impressed esp with it cooling a 5800x that isn't notoriously hot

+1 for nvme on the back of the motherboard Would make life easier for upgrading storage on a hardline build.

hope the quality control is better because my t100 came without magnets on one of the vertical dustcovers. customer support is abysmal too.

The Tower 200 seems nice. I was wondering about The Tower 100 for a while for a system with a 5600X. I ended up with another case from TT, the V21, to fit a 280 radiator in it, so maybe The Tower 200 can be a nicer looking case to move to. I also like their bigger tower cases for a bigger system, cause they actually give you space for more than 2 HDDs. Time to have a look at their page and check the manual for the case to see how it is.

Regarding the MB/Case solution for putting all the connectors on the back of the board, you didn't mention one of the main advantages of this design; specifically, access to board connectors "after" a complete build. Given the glut of items that get attached to the board, access to board connectors can be an issue later on. Access to the primary m2 SSD usually involves pulling the GPU, which is a nightmare if you're using water cooling. Swapping out fans also requires access that may be blocked with a full build in place. So.. ..yeah, I think rear connectors are the way to go; for both utilitarian and aesthetic factors.

TT had a pretty good showing. That rotating, mechanical beast was pretty dang sweet. The cameos in all these vids are a nice little side dish to the meat of your presentations. Thanks, Paul!!

I have the old TT View 71. It has a glass panel on the backside that just shows how crappy a job I did with my cable management.

Having the RGB on the frame is a slick look

aio custom tape to wrap around the tubes would be cool make them totally unique to your pc theme

I think the connectors on the rear of the motherboard makes complete sense. The cables are there anyway so why not have the connectors on the back. Having some kind of standard for it would be best to make compatibility better, and easier.

The website and the manual doesn't mention anything about Micro ATX motherboard support but it looks like it will fit. Wonder if they will update this..?

I now want to build a new system in one of those Tower 200's. My pc sits on my desk and I have been considering a mini build for the real estate savings.

Mine came yesterday, now in have to decide in wich direction i mount the top and bottom fan >.

So happy to see some quality mATX cases. I think the reverse plugs on motherboards are cool, but would really like to have a standard so cases can survive a pc upgrade.

I always wanted the tower 100 but I didn’t like that it was only for itx mobos. Finally I’ll be able to pick up the 200, when are the other colors for it going to come out? I’m looking forward to getting the green one.

I love the idea of having the motherboard connections on the back of the case. Ex. Clean appearance and shorter runs to connections to power supply. However, the downside at the beginning would be lack of case options and some users not understanding that the case and motherboard need to be compatible even if the suppliers give warnings about making sure the case and mobo are compatible.

I want a 200 for my streaming/bedroom media machine, and absolutely want the AIO to match the case color. Too small to be my media server. I need a 5 1/4 bay so I can rip physical media for fully uncompressed rips, plus need a lot of room for storage. I think 4tb nvme drives are cheap enough now to move away from hdd's, and when I run out of room with 4tb nvme drives utilizing as many pcie lanes as possible 8tb drives should be cheap enough along with the 8 slot pcie cards to move to that.

Asus should also move the power connectors on the GPU to the back/underside ih a way that's compatible with different mounting orientation. Maybe a contact adapter to reposition it for that "cable-free" design. No point in having the MB connectors hidden but pcie power still sticking out

Consider the bezel on the aio which have changeable plates for different colors

I'm all for having the cables on the back side so they don't show, it's beyond time, hope it's adopted throughout the industry.

IDK. Seeing th cables on the back in a case. It actually looks much better for troubleshooting. Removing the some of those cable if you need to swap a part can be a real pain on a fully built system.
