The Toughest Diesel Ranger You Can Buy New! (Ford Ranger Wildtrak X 2023 Review)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
We test the new T6.2 Ford Ranger Wildtrak X, which combines hard-core mud-kicking upgrades with twin-turbo 2.0L power to create its new flagship diesel off-roader for MY24.
The Wildtrak X is one of the Ford’s highest-specificed ute grades, joining the new Platinum near the top of the MY24 Ranger tree that currently offers no fewer than 25 different variants.
The upmarket off-roader is wider and sits taller than the regular Wildtrak and fits a revised 2.0-litre twin-turbo engine and full-time 4x4. It also fits a host of cool features exclusively reserved for other high-spec versions such as the Platinum and Raptor.
The Ford Ranger competes with the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT-50, Isuzu D-Max, Volkswagen Amarok and other B-segment utes in Australia.

This bakkie is almost perfect. They should introduce a V6 diesel option.

I would buy it despite the the disappointing fact that they don't make them with a V6

Been driving the "old" Ranger Raptor with 2.0 biturbo diesel for 4 years. Now planning to get a Wildtrak X with the same engine. So, yes, V6 would be nice, but R4 is a nice engine, too. And AdBlue, I don't see a problem, had it all the time here. So, no real issues with choice of engines. As long as I don't have to buy anything electric, I am fine with it...
I'm loving this truck💯💯💪🧡....... I'd love to buy one, I'm just disappointed that they don't come with a V6
Just needs the v6. I’m guessing that will come when the sales drop off
Very informative review ✌️😇
I ordered the 2.0 X back in May 23. Still waiting ln Jan 24 here in Germany...
they had 1 in the showroom at Berwick ford Melbourne not long ago whilst i was checking out thr Raptor, I probably would have done a deal for the wildtrak X but was shocked it dosen't have a V6
How was it off-road at speed with the upgraded shocks and lift?
Give me a V6 Platinum in this Wildtrak X colour and suspension with the base models steel wheels and the Raptors BF Goodrich tyres.
Nice unique colour but no v6 = no sale
When can we get it in the USA❤
Need this off road model at the xlt spec level. If you aftermarket lift and tyres you are most often illegal. This is a good balance, just not at the high price. Any word of the Tremor spec coming to aus?

We are getting the tremor in europe
Seriously wish they would for the V6 Diesel in the Raptor or Wildtrack x. Hopefully Toyota fits a decent Diesel in the more offroad focused version
why do ford refuse to acknowledge the 2.3L ecoboost VW have already got it in the aventura if that wildtrak had it as a no cost option i would be in a ford dealer buying it tomorrow maybe an aventrura with 18inch panam wheels is the way to go
In Vietnam Ford is selling the Raptor with the 2.0 Turbo Diesel (only option). I wonder if it's exclusive to Vietnam or any other countries?

We have it in the UK. (as well as the 3.0 petrol).
I wish Ford would ship wildtrak X ranger variants here in the philippines
in thailand there is the Stormtrak... check that baddie out!
Beautiful bakkie, just lacks a V6
No V6 ☹ No Sale
so lucky to get diesel , none in the U.S. OR ford Everest , we have the ford exposer timberline-parking lot/dirt st s.u.v. 2.3 4c gas turbo - no one buys it
That fuel economy is super inaccurate from my experience, even whilst in ECO mode driving like a grandma, you're lucky to see anything below 10L/100km... and i'm talking highway driving with speeds exceeding 100km/hr. Other than that, its a beauty to drive, Adblue does get annoying and those who wants to do some off-roading should take a bottle or 2 with you, I was almost stuck recently whilst on an outback track when all of a sudden my Adblue level went from 9000km left to 500km with warning popping up all over the screen. For those that do not know, if ad-blue runs out, the WildTrak X will drop about 75% of its rated power making you limp back... obviously when doing a track outback, this will be near impossible. So carry a bottle or 2 around with you if you ever hit the outback. Definitely a ranger with its own unique characteristics and charm. Wouldn't trade it for any other model.

Oh that Adblue requirement is also pretty inaccurate... i have 4,500 km clocked in my new Wildtrak X and I've had to put in 18 liters of Ad-blue already... yeeeaaa so you'll need adblue approx every 4500km for it to be happy :) With a full tank of adblue, the instruments show 9000km range. Thats a good amount short of what Ford claims at 15,000 km
Just get an Amarok V6
pointless without the 3L
Take a breath mate.. jesus
Ad blue in a ute? 🤣🤣 Good luck selling any of these.

@@ironlungthe3rdhad adblue in my truck for almost 10 years and no issues, just another cost although some adblue systems such as in the bmw E70 x5 are known for issues, typically crystallisation in the supply lines. Fords certainly not the first ute to use adblue….
