Last year we had top notch offence and adequate defence. Maybe next year we can have both sides of the ball firing on all cylinders

Really don't know why the Jays focused on defence over offense. Our pitching is good so a lack of defence won't hurt as much as a lack of offense would

Wonder why the Jays focused on defense? The fewest errors committed in a season by a team in MLB history: #1 Baltimore O's (2013) #2 Arizona D-Backs (2023) #3 Texas Rangers (2023)

Defence don't mean anything if your offence can't score a run

Considering this award was created just this year and the Rangers had the 3rd fewest errors in MLB history (Interestly, the D-Backs had the 2nd fewest ever) this past season, this is pretty meaningless. Also, Kiermeyer and Chapman are likely not returning, which means the defense won't be as good next season.

I noticed that they didn't show any good defensive play by Bo. ?????

Varsho got robbed, but it must have been an issue qualifying due to his split time and LF and CF... too bad.

This whole package shows why Biggio should have won the utility gold glove!

Always next year! ...tho, depending on what they do with 3rd, he might be there a lot, even though I think Espinal might be the better choice for 3rd, and Biggio on 2nd, 1st, RF, and the odd day at 3rd, cycling days off for guys - however, it's clear that he needs more playtime to get that bat going like later in the season. There's also Martinez and Barger as possibilities to win that 3rd base position, especially Barger with that lefty bat and cannon arm. Martinez might really benefit from 1 more year in AAA... loads of power, but really dial in that bat and approach to reduce the strikeouts like he was doing later in the season.

There's more to pitching than strikeouts

Defense and pitching but cannot hit the ball. Time for the team to grow up stop goofing around get serious. So many base running mistakes throughout the year never was corrected and Guerrero annoying everyone with his childish behavior stop dumping water on team mates that actually preform.

I hope John leaves or Atkins both are terrible
