Likewise! I'm extremely bad at puzzles, and when he showed that there was a magnet on only one side of the lid I just knew, just keep trying to turn the lids and it will open eventually! Not trying to be a smart guy, but this looks like one of those cases that a guy is so good at solving puzzles, that gets stuck on one that has a simple way to solve! 😉

This is one puzzle that I actually knew the solution just as soon as he took off the lids that were held on by magnets. Knowing that magnets repel as well as attract. I'm pretty sure I would of had this one open in less than 2 minutes. Honestly most of these puzzles I would never find the solution to. So I'm just happy to find one. Also the more of these puzzle videos I watch the more I realize there are only so many ways to make things work.

Thanks for the feedback Ryan! My goal in life is to get as many high-quality puzzles out in the world as I can at the lowest prices. I'd love to be able to sell it for less but it's just very costly to manufacture small-batch high-quality work. We start with solid stock lumber and handcraft the entire thing from scratch. It takes a long time to maintain the quality. As the mechanical puzzle world grows and the market gets bigger we hope to be able to scale production and bring prices down so our work is more accessible.

I'd try both sides myself and though I'm a beginner and Mr Puzzle is a true expert I'm surprised he didn't himself as a first step, but maybe it's just the simple (!) way I think. @@kimchi_b You're probably spot on with this! The psychology of puzzles is interesting - good puzzle designs often take advantage of the solver's assumptions. Experienced puzzle solvers often have more assumptions than a novice. I've seen someone totally new to puzzles solve a box in five minutes that stumped a veteran for weeks. Some of my designs aimed at the more experienced crowd use those assumptions against them, and Topless is one of them.

I'm sorry, I edited my reply to be a bit shorter and missed out that this would very likely be harder for the more advanced puzzler, which is what you're referring to I think.
