That Glashutte watch is beautiful. Your taste in watches have improved massively over the years.

That green dial on the Glashütte watch is called a fumé dial, or some folks prefer to call it an ombré. Both mean a dial which gets darker the further you go from the centre. Glashütte, by the way, is a town in Germany that is famous for watchmaking, with many watchmakers in the town. So, a Glashütte watch is just a watch made in Glashütte, just like a Swiss watch is a watch made in Switzerland. Michael's watch is made by one such Glashütte brand, called Glashütte Original.

@@perrybrasil4511 ombré means shaded; ambré means made of amber. And fumé means smoked. The dial in the video is referred to as fumé or ombré, and certainly not ambré.

Looking forward to hearing about other people’s collections and favorites. The Glasshutte you have is my favorite, that brand is high on my “covet” list right now. Favorites from my collection are my vintage 1955 and 1965 Omega Constellations and, from the modern era, my Cartier Santos Stainless and Ball GMT Hydrocarbon, also stainless.

Good idea to keep this series going… you surprised me in a good way with your picks. Must have been difficult when you have such a large collection.

I'm not a Daytona fan but, I do like the platinum with the brown bezel. The AP, not for me. If I was buying today, it would have to be the Glashutta, in green. Such a beautiful watch and not really a lot of money. I think I'll have to have a mooch online to see what's about. This is a lovely series.

I got hooked on your videos about half a year ago and ive been addicted ever since. Ive binge watched so many episodes and i just cant get enough. Not only do you show us the coolest stuff i garuntee i would never ever see otherwise but you remind me somehow of austin powers and its soothing hahaha gotta be the vibrancy, looking at how you drees makes me happy hahaha

I've been lucky enough in my life to have been given a Rolex GMT Master II, Pepsi. It's stainless, but it's a very VERY nice watch, black dial, obviously the blue and red bezel. It's a gorgeous watch. It needs a service and I'm not able to afford a service on a Rolex at this point in my life, BUT.. what a stunning looking watch. It's from around 2007. Lovely piece in my opinion.

I just bought my first watch for my collection... its not the most expensive, but good looking watch from Leijona brand. This channel inspired me to start my own collection! You have to start from somewhere =)

Glashutte simply makes the best watch in the world for the money ... unlike rolex wich make about 60% of their components themselves Glashutte produces 95%+ from the smallest screws to the hand engraved bridges everything is done by Glashutte and the quality control is unmatched!! I love Glashutte so much they are all amazing watches

Without a doubt, for me, the Glashutte is my choice of the 3. The dial, the movement, the green is just... Wow. If this is the top 3 I would love to see a top 10.

Should be a fun series asking collectors their 3 favorite watches. Hopefully the series will travel to collectors outside of Los Angeles to get different variety.

Your idea to ask the people from your "watch" entourage what their favorite watches are is a great idea in addition to being an opportunity to see them again. I can't wait to know the choices of Seth, both Peter and Jacob, your friends from the first episodes, as long as they are personal choices and not choices based on sales.

It's good! Always nice to see your watches and get your viewpoint. I had a GO Sport Evolution Panodate maybe ten years ago, and they make a beautiful watch for the price. I never seem to have ultimate favorites...I see so many shiny new watches that grab my attention, and I could never afford them or even fit them into regular rotation. At the same time, I think the Greubel Forsey GMT Sport is at the top of the list right now. That would be a great sports watch. For dress watches, I like the Patek Ellipse in white gold or platinum, and I also like the Piaget Polo 7131 from the '80s, particularly the white gold version (hard to find). I like some of the quirky, out-there watches from people like Urwerk and MB&F. If I hit the lottery, I'd definitely have a few crazy watches. At a lower price point, I like the Devon Tread watches.

Another great video been watching for years and I'm only 18! You got me into collecting and now I am gonna go to school for watch making!

This Byblos/Summer Edition Offshore is just gorgeous. So, underrated right now, like other Offshore's as well.

Never thought I would see Michael putting a GO on his top 3 list of watches for 2024. I dig it!

My personal favorites are 1. Omega, 2. Rolex, 3. Franck Muller.

The AP would be my choice out of those three. Out of my personal 3 for this year, I’m smitten by the Grand Seiko SBGA413. In second is the Omega Seamaster 300, and then the Tudor Black Bay Master Chronometer

Maybe it's the colour balance as the camera is pointing towards the window, but the Daytona dial looks mint green to me, at best you could call it turquoise, but blue!!

I know you have good taste Michael. My favorite is the blue plat. Daytona as well. I didn’t know you could get one with diamond markers. Leave it to you to have the best one!!

I love all 3 watches. Michael, I admire your great taste. I also like the brown bezel on the Daytona, with a black bezel the contrast to the dial would be far too strong. But it's kind of crazy, this huge price difference between the G-O and the Daytona, right? The AP is also great, I really like this independent design. I think you can't compare watches with each other. You can see that with these 3 watches, each one is unique. I really enjoyed your trips to Switzerland. Will you be traveling to Switzerland again this year?

Not a fan of the AP, but I imagine some collectors will love it. The Rolex and Glashutte are amazing watches.

The Glashutte is the nicest watch from those 3, despite being the least expensive. Also, mechanically better than the other 2, again.

That Glashütte is an absolute gem. Gorgeous watch!

I like that Michael goes for what he gravitates towards instead of just following trends (somewhat). Watch fans will get curious and explore different brands and models with different strap combos. I find myself reading about all the options out there and latest innovations that mightn’t be my style but as a fan I can appreciate watches that I’m not wanting to add to a collection. But looking back over the last 20+ years I can see my tastes and preferences change and evolve now and😮hahksajka ❤lol😅

My favorite is the AP although I have a small wrist. That’s funny because my biggest watch was a 45mm Tag Heuer 01 ceramic skeleton but it didn’t look that big. The AP just looks like a massive gold bar on your wrist. ! 👌

I keep feeling a Niko influence in the background for some reason. The diamond watches are still my favourite because I like shiny bling, it's all about your personal taste. I think your holding back just a little but either way it's still a pleasure to watch and love all of the watches.
