You can get up the broken stairs using car doors, trunks, hoods, or tires. Done it on official recently.

@@Glaz-TheKingHimselfyea if you backward drop doors or trunks against the wall you can make a car door staircase almost the hardest placement is the final one. It has to be angled upwards so you can make the final jump/walk up.

@@Glaz-TheKingHimselfyea it is I only know about it because I built on vysotovo and was checking out neighbors I had nearby where they had the barb wire trap. Only to get up there and still had like 8 gates to go thru because they had gates that could only open from the inside.

In 1.22 you can simply climb up the broken stair wall. Just stand below, jump and the climbing animation starts.

This is actually a genius design, I've been trying to think of a good base after trial and error and I'm definitely going to give this a try, thank you.

All good man, I would block off the stairs as a precaution. Just in case bro. But yeah, DOUBLE BARBWIRE trap is crazy

You'd literally have to wall off every balcony and large window to keep from someone just using watchtowers to get to the first couple floors on official and potentially all the way up on modded servers or community that allow stacking

It would still take a while to get the resources to do a watchtower raid, plus a lot of servers don't allow this tactic

Just remembered that first 3 floors on those apartments have no access to the stairs. So you would be fine

Did this build in cherno. 7 sets of barbed wire. Two rooms with 3 airlocks. Got raided today. Nothing is unraidable

We raided a couple of these bases a few weeks ago, very good bases I must say they had a good amount of walls but didn’t have barbed wire anywhere to slow us down - plenty of counter raiders though using those buildings as base spots which can sometimes save the base

Hmmm, not sure, I thought it was possible to build at the top of the Brocken stairs. If not it would need to be locked off from glichers on a build anywhere server or a community one that has VPP admin tools to ban players the glitch or active admins. However if u are dealing with glichers they are going to get in any type of base anyway. Id recommend playing on a server with active admins

How can we get into the secret rooms within the double apartments?! Dupers are ruining my server doing this

@@MochineMikethat’s hilarious. They spawn zero loot and take 5 min to get to the top. Nobody is checking these apartments unless you make your base super obvious like what this dude did on the roof. If you keep it low key, no big airlock out front and no obvious construction on the roof you can go unnoticed for a long long time. People aren’t running up 10 flights of stairs and two ladders in a building with no loot spawns just to look for your base if there is no sign of it from the outside. Even if they do you have numbers on your side because there are like 30 or 40 of these large apartment buildings spread across Chernarus. That is the first time I have ever heard these apartment buildings high traffic. They are usually a black hole that people don’t even look twice at once they learn figure out bo loot spawns inside.

I built in one of these and couldn't get the barbed wire on the gate because it went into the wall and I couldn't get it to attach. This meant a guy managed to get through the gate and steal the base. Also other gates on the stairwell don't work well because you can't reach the combo lock to unlock them

To add to this comment, after the 1.21 update base building will be even harder, because you can't have back to back walls anymore

Fun base but you could just use watchtowers to get to the 3rd floor

You can just vault up the stairwell now

You can get 2 players on the steps and you can get on top of the stairs

This is a pretty good design but most players play on modded servers. What if the raiders come flying in with a heli? They could just land or drop off players on the roof and start the raid from the top. This happened to me already a few times.
