For me, 2013 was KZread's best year, thanks to the algorithm back then that made some channels grow quite a bit, and curiously 10 years later, once again KZread's algorithm benefited more channels with the shorts, very good video!!

The most subscribers gained in 2023 part of the video is different to other years as MrBeast dominates throughout and shorts channels reign on that list. However it will take a while before any shorts channel makes it to the top 15. MrBeast reign in the daily gains list is satisfying though. Him catching up to t-series makes me think of 2018 actually when T-Series had to pass 2 channels before they went to PewDiePie. Great video!

While this list is definitely less horrible than the most subscribed of the year list, it’s more soulless. These corporations dominating the list is just so old and I’m so over it. I’m definitely really excited for MrBeast to pass T-Series, because that will show that the creators can still beat companies if they try, but still just a horrible list composed of nothing but soulless companies, kids channels, and a forgotten creator.
