To be fair I don't think it was ever really supposed to, it was just a reality show, not a real push for an esports scene.
The one I found the most legitimate as much as it is weird was Catherine, you covered it in the pasand I love how people break the game into a fighter of competing directly against another. Apreciate the aoe shout out even if it's rarely as weird as brood war still having a scene with less grafics and game play updates. I don't play DE, since I like it for the nostalgia, I keep it in HD
t90 HYPE, Age of Empire 2 streams are amazing. so fantastic and GREAT commentary.
Swift is literally "e-sport"
finally, a current and relavant theScore esports video
I'd personally permaban John Deere tractors. It is good but when it breaks, you kinda have to bend over and take your broken tractor to their facilities to get fixed instead of just fixing it yourself.

Now this is why i originally subscribed to the channel. Amazing esports journalism that's almost like a news/magazine for esport buffs. Please keep making videos like this
Just a few other fun facts: -Catherine actually has 2 competitive leagues, one for the classic, and one for the remaster. The remastered version of the game changed enough that they have completely different strategies and metagames. -Shrek Super Slam, while initially discovered for the memes, was also found to have some surprisingly complex mechanics with combos and animation cancels to make a mechanically intensive fighting game
geogeussr is actually fun to watch and some of the "pro's " have gigantic brains
Really don't understand the inclusion of age of empires on this list. Though I do hope the shout-out brings more viewers, they wouldn't put StarCraft here? Let's be real, with how much the game was updated in the definitive edition it's basically a modern game again. More modern than StarCraft 2 in a way
@paulsd9255

It's because AOE2 is probably the most ancient game to still both have an esport scene and still get active support
@nathan113
3 жыл бұрын
AOE 2 doesn't really feel that ancient anymore though, the games been remastered twice and now plays incredibly smoothly
Geo Guesser and the Block pushing one are pretty lit.
Geoguesser deserves a lot of respect imo. Definitely a drinking game in the mix
As a member of the AoE scene for years, I think AoE (2) is now on the very brink for pros outside of low income countries to live from tournaments only (in theory, in practice streaming / content creation always creates more income)
God imagine losing grand finals to someone in a horse mask LMAO

Clone Hero matches are exciting ngl, like it's already exciting just to see a dude go through a song perfectly on his own, but up against another dude while competing for points? A single mistake could cost an entire round, and it's thrilling
