@@ShivamJha00 its a lot to take in at first. At least now the way defence deployment is set out anyone can use all of the reinforcements so it doesnt rely on newbies to know where to put shit. That being saod there is A LOT of hackers during free to play times.

As much as I hate horizon, and god I hate horizon, I don't think its as conceptually flawed as the other games on this list. Having played all of the maps mentioned with the exception of the smash ones, horizon is tolerable in comparison. There aren't many issues directly caused by layouts/rooting as the others mentioned. I feel its a bad map, but it just falls short of the other fps maps mentioned. All of that is my pinion of course, and I'm pretty much a degenerate soooooooo.............

Dust 2 is a map that has a really basic learning curve so “advanced” (face it lvl 4s cough) players hate it thinking it rewards monkey brain play like I get why pros hate it but it’s fine for pubs if anything I love it cuz the angles are so predictable I can turn the tables on smurfs that are too good for the map

Once you know what angles are accessible knowing the agents on the enemy team and how much time they had, you can actually take A pretty easily. If you have one smoke, you can grab mid easily too.

Smash4 lylat was a nightmare. I actually don't mind it in ultimate, but man was it bad in the Wii U days

Was surprised that the Dota underwater map skin "Reef's Edge" wasn't included. Hated by the community and Valve had to ditch it midway through TI7 due to be unable to see certain abilities, such as Broodmother's webs.

Didnt expect Rocket League, but totally agree. Maps awful

Kinda surprised that Nuke didn't make it onto the list. I know it's been fixed up a bit since its release, but I remember there being an audio issue due to its bomb sites where you couldn't tell WHICH site the bomb was planted on. They had to make it so that one site has a unique beeping sound from the other. Also it's been ages since I've played Siege and ngl I'm getting PTSD just looking at their maps on this list...

Nuke is the best map in the game though

Surprised you didn't talk about the main issue with Vertigo which is SOUND. You can hear so much because the map is so relatively small and teams are just superimposed. You hear the rotations and rushes 10 minutes before other maps.

I’m honestly so glad to see some recognition of how absolutely awful original neo Tokyo was. Going from standard maps consistently to some random map with ramps on the side, a skybox further away than Mars, and the weirdest backboards ever was a freaking nightmare

For the call of duty fans: Garrison Search and Destroy as a competitive map. The bomb was never planted on A in pro matches. Thankfully it was removed from the pool quite fast.

Garrison is actually good for other game modes though, Piccadilly sucks all around

I think icebox after the reworks it’s had is good now. I also find myself liking breeze more after the reworks

Hereford made sense when the game first came out and it was more of a hardcore shooter and tribute to the real Hereford but once it went competitive and esports it was never going to survive any update

I can smell tears. I can smell the sweat. The screams of players slowly disappearing as they fall down. This must be Vertigo.

I played Counterstrike 1.6 back in the 90's but then stopped playing when Source released. When I installed CS Go for the first time n 2021, it was mostly an unfamiliar game to me. The one map I DID recognize was Dust2, and it felt like home.

The issue I have with Hereford Base isn't the confusing layout but how like the Jumbo Jet, you can get killed easily before you even make it to the doors. I love Tower it's one of my favourite maps in the game.

Naaah, icebox had been one of my fav map, after when it got some changes in the new patch notes.

I know fighting games dont often get mentioned, especially smash but lylat better be on here (if they count stages as maps) Edit: CALLED IT

Icebox is probably a top 3 map in valorant now… people just needed to learn how to play it… Similarly with neo tokio, its a super fun map and rocket labs added a whole new aspect to the game which tbh was quite fun…

I’ve been playing Siege for more than 2 years now. And I still haven’t figured out the layout of Tower. It’s so fucking huge and the 1st floor is a labyrinth. I just recently found out there’s a little section of the map I didn’t even know about. 2 years later. And I somehow still died repelling in. Wonderful.

People didn’t like Icebox originally because the map design on it was pretty wack but it plays out pretty decently as time went on. Now everyone hates Breeze and I don’t blame them there. Playing Breeze is just awful every time, either that or Split.

I don’t think I remember a single time I got a game on Paris and didn’t see a single leaver. There was this one time some dude got paris, then typed in chat: “What do we say to the gods of Paris? Not today” and just left.

I agree, I enjoy vertigo too. The reason its hated is because of all of its old versions, and the need to undergo many reworks.

honestly tower was super broken when tachanka still had a mounted lmg and his deployable shield

7:30 I think the biggest problem with New Hereford is that it's just too goddamn big. It's the size of two Coastlines stacked on top of each other, and the first, second, and third floors aren't distinct enough from each other to be easy to navigate at a glance. If it was just the first floor and basement, it'd still be bad, but at least playable.

If Split, Haven, and Icebox (I personally don’t hate it but a lot do) aren’t on this list then I will be disappointed.
