I am a self-taught Musician . I. started with garage band. After a year and a half I switched over to logic Pro X and haven’t looked back since. I have a MacBook Pro but I’m looking to step up to the 21 inch or 25 inch iMac desktop. I’m retired from the United States Army and my goal is to perform my own album before I die😂 I think logic Pro X will definitely assist me in accomplishing that.❤️🎸👏👏👏👏

Hey there, looking forward to hearing it 👍
I have a Bachelors degree in Audio Production and I still use Logic, even though I was taught Pro Tools in school and am certified. I also trained in Ableton Live. Logic Pro lacks nothing and it comes with every plugin you need, from Amp Sims to pitch correction, elastic audio. The drummer feature is a great songwriting tool. And if you like to program MIDI instruments, Logic has a huge library of sounds. Also, there are some really good producers that use Logic. Machine, who mixed Lamb of God and Clutch albums and Nolly Getgood from Periphery are 2 that come to mind.

How's your audio engineer life?
Logic Pro does rule!! We love it and work almost exclusively with Logic! Just wish it was a little better with audio editing and sample accurate zooming in on audio... It's the one downfall. We actually have a ton of Logic content on our page because we're so obsessed!
Ive been studying psychology for three years. I love the subject, but there is just something so special about music I never get from anything else. I’ve been playing the piano for 12 years now and have been making music on some DAW on my iPad. I’m ready for the next step and want to persuit my dreams and producing some awesome songs. I was getting a lot of anxiety thinking about getting logic, because the interface just seemed so complicated and SUCH a learning curve. For some reason this video calmed me down and gave me inspiration to finally take that step. Thanks a lot for your help.
I’ve been a Protools user for years. I purchased Logic X 3 months ago. Insane!!! So user and feature friendly!! It boggles the mind the value you get for what you pay for. Great video! I just subscribed! Keep up the good work. And thank you for this channel! 🙏🏽👊🏽💯
One of the most overlooked features: the ability to solo aux tracks. I love that I can hear just what a reverb or delay bus sounds like. It’s helped me track down frequencies I’ve loathed numerous times.

So much positivity with this video and the comments. Making music is fun, starting out can be scary, but when you get going, we all have a creative side. Even though this was 2 years ago, the good keeps on coming.

I have Ableton, Pro Tools and Logic but to this very day, Logic still stands out. I love everything about it.
been using pro tools for 20 years and this has made me a lot more comfortable about potentially switching across, the amount of built in included stuff in Logic is insane
I’ve been using GarageBand for a while now but wanted a DAW that I could do a little bit more with. This video has helped me make a better decision. Thanks a lot!
Hell Yes!! I've been playing music the old analog way for 40 years, so I'm pretty set in my ways. It's tough for me to keep up with what is happening today... I've worked with Audacity, and other low end DAWs with very little inspiration. This kid just laid it out simply: do yourself a favor, get a Mac Mini w/ Logic and start there. So I did... It just arrived yesterday, but I've been watching as many videos I can fit into my busy schedule. Totally excited to start the next chapter of my musical life, with Logic at the center!! Thanks for what you do!! I can't thank you enough for helping me take control of my life again!!

Heck yeah Joachim, hop aboard! LPX is light years above LP9.
I started making music in the early 2000‘s with keyboard workstations and groove boxes, then tried my hand with Cubase in mid 00s. Finally started using logic & GarageBand when I bought my first MacBook in 2011, & have used logic since. I’m pretty familiar with it, and it’s great for linear recording. But as Ableton & other software gains popularity, I sometimes wonder if I’m missing out or if there is a better workflow . I wish Apple would either add as a option in Logic or create another app, for loop playback and live performance of tracks we make in Logic.
I’ve been with logic since forever but it’s still displays that annoying disk overload error even though I have the new Mac Pro and save all my sessions on express SSDs

Not gon' lie die hard ableton fan but I'm definitely using this for mixing and recording. This is dope
The automated drummer track is amazing when accounting for how much work would go into moving drums to different spaces by hand with overhead mic boom stands. The hours Logic Pro X can save an engineer is well worth the money that you can make more of compared to the lost time you’ll never be able to get back.
Hey man great video and great content you make on your channel love the sound of your songs it sounds great keep up the great work and keep making great music man it sounds great
I agree with your assessment, especially with keyboard commands. As a blind user of Logic Pro, X, I enjoy using the DAW to mix tracks and attempt to become a better producer. Perhaps start an accessibility sideseries on Logic Pro X or explain things with both keyboard and mouse shortcuts, or name controls you are navigating within so VoiceOver users know which area of the program you're interacting with.
Nolly Getgood made me look at Logic in the first place. However, you've really sold me, Chris. I've been using Studio One (which I have nothing but good to say about) but Logic just seems way more up my alley.
Thanks for the video bud! I've been using Studio One for a couple years but at the same time wanting to try logic bc I do just love how its set up. You definitely just sold me on it completely tho.

Thanks Chris, good video. I’ve been a musician all my life but I’m just starting into home recording. I’m planning to use Garage Band as a DAW to begin with and be able to upgrade to Logic Pro when it becomes necessary. Can you tell me what features I may miss by using Garage Band only?
just upgraded from using Garageband for the past few years. Your video is the first one I'm watching on Logic :)
I don’t know why I goofed around for as long as I did with all these other daws. I’ve been producing on iOS, picked up a MacBook Pro about 6 months ago and for some reason decided to do the whole merry go round of ableton, reaper, FL studio, Cubase, lmms, etc. Etc. I downloaded the free trial of Logic early on in this adventure and for some reason, didn’t think I was feeling it - no idea why that was now. Just rediscovered and purchased it, very very stoked! So clean, so intuitive - plus the logic remote app for iPad rocks!
Great presentation. Thank you very much.
Absolutely the best Logic Tutorial KZread Channel ever!!! Thanks so much!
Can you please start a tutorial series similar to this one for Mainstage 3 and it’s live use on stage with backing tracks, templates etc. I’m interested in quick usage familiarity and not scuba diving into creating complicated set ups. Thanks.
HI! Do you know a way to emulate the Chunk option in Pro Tools? So having a list that when clicked, shows different scenes (in a movie project for example) in the same project?
I’ve been in FL Studio for a while but it has its flaws. As soon as I clicked this video I feel like I’m already connect to Logic the same what I am with FL. I’m a pretty big Apple person too so that helps but I definitely can’t wait to get started with it
Great video.. got me thinking of switching! Do you know if the current Logic Pro still come with Demo sessions like the one by Beck you mentioned? If so, do you know which? Thanks again.
Thank's! I gave up Pro Tools because I became crazy every time it crashed. And yes, it did crash! Logic Pro X is working and working and give me time to be creative instead of dealing with tech incapacity. I'm excited what will be the coming big update next time? I really like this DAW :)
I am currently using fl studio and I recently got a macbook pro. I am curious about logic Pro. I believe that I was never truly able to explore the capabilities due to the limitations. By limitations I mean the learning curve on each and everything in fl studio, it's a great daw though and it's the only one I have used. Do you think logic will eliminate few unnecessary hurdles and bring smooth and creative work flow? As compared to fl studio?
Thank you dso much for all this great. helpful information. I have one question for which I can't find an answer; I have logic Pro 10.4 and I canno find a way to send midi files that have ALL the info regarding EACH track,. Even the Track names don't show up when someone opens the midi files I have sent. If I re-import them into LOGIC, ALL tracks have the actual "notes" but nothing else. They are all blanket-assigned the "steinway piano, on channel 1 etc.... Is it possible to send those tracks with all their midi info with LOGIC PRO? Thank you! BV/
Hi there, thanks for this, unfortunately my Mac book pro is old (macOS Sierra v10.12.6) so won’t take the download. Looking to get an iMac. Do you know if it’s better to get logic built into your iMac spec at source or do you just download the app from the store? I’m hearing that the built in method is better and more stable. Thanks again.
I have used every DAW professionally since they first began. Never looked back after switching to Logic.......Period !

I am still very new to trying to record my own music. I have used GarageBand here and there over the last couple of years, so found it a little limiting. I like the idea of logic because of the cost, and the fact that it is basically a “big boy” version of GarageBand lol. I appreciate the style and simplicity of apple designs and so I think this will be the way I go.
Thanks for this video! Im a home studio musician who's been using Garageband for a few years and Im ready to step up my game production wise. I've had people tell me to go Logic if Im used to the Garageband format. Is there much of a learning curve and do you recommend having a Desktop computer vs. just a laptop to run it?

EXS 24, and Ultrabeat....as ugly, unclear and unintuitive as you can get. Just got logic, after using garage band for a year or 2. All of my recent videos were made on garage band, so you can definately do a lot, but logic is just way better. Garage band helped me get a basic understanding of plugins, and music production, but now I have logic everything is just so much easier. The plugins are so much more advanced, as I play a lot of metal, the drum sounds are fantastic, especially the producer kits, that I can change for example the crash cymbals, or the Tom's. So much more customisation, and settings, the mixer page is my favourite thing. Now I have logic, I can see every plugin on every track, create busses, gain staging is so much easier, yrh if your on garage band, n thinking about getting logic, get it!!
Thanks for reminding us how awesome this DAW is. I have used PT, Sonar and LP. I feell like Logic is a good cross between PT and Sonar (live rec + midi + soft synth apps).
Thank you! Excellent!
Great video, but some of the best features you noted are in FL Studio😊
Even the version of Alchemy that comes with GB (which I assume is slimmed down) is pretty great, so many great sounds, and so modifiable.

I started on ProTools LE as well, a long time ago. Steep learning curve is an understatement. When I moved to mac mini I gave GarageBand a try. Took to it infinitely easier than PT LE. Not saying I've maxed out GB but I wanted to do a lot more in the way of editing and arranging, and mixing. Spoke to an Apple store employee the other day. After looking at Logic Pro on the store machine I got the itch to get it. Tonight I watched this video and I think that's going to seal the deal. Loved the comments about trying to get the drummer to "just play the damn thing already".
When did Logic Pro 10 launch, and from that point, how long do u think it'll be until 11 lands? Would you recommend starting with GarageBand first, then moving buying into Logic Pro X, or just learn Pro from the start? I heard they do AppStore credit bundles black Friday? They can be purchased with a set % off the price, and this is the most cost-effective way of buying Pro X? Cheers!!
One more point I can add: If you work from MacBook Logic has the full Touch Bar compatibility, almost every feature of editing/mixing/software instrument all those knobs and whatnot inside Logic are on the Touch Bar and interchange smartly. Touch pad also has the most intuitive use in Logic. Tried to use it in FL Studio - not intuitive at all.

How many update are their like how many months or years would I have to pay 200 dollars for
Once you get the work flow down a know where, and what, the parameters are; it’s a force to be reckoned with.
Can you just update logic or do you have to buy it over and over.. and will I loose my mind if I am used to GarageBand? Does it have loops too?
I use GarageBand. Not sure what if gain to upgrade. I’m sure it’s there, but I’m just barely starting to record and navigating through GB to record my bass but I also have guitar but haven’t recorded that yet
My only gripe with Logic that keeps me from using it full-time is that you can't hear armed tracks during pre-roll. I do a lot of session work by myself and would like to hear what I recorded in Pre-roll when punching in.

I love Logic so much that it might be at an unhealthy level. I simply cannot use any other DAWs now. In the past I've used Cubase, Ableton, ProTools, Reaper, and maybe another one I'm forgetting, but Logic is on a whole other level. It's seriously like thousands of dollars worth of software for $200, and for me it justifies buying a Mac because it's so good and has such an amazing value. It's such a joy to work in! The stock plugins are top tier. I just checked out the Billie Eilish demo that came with the 1.5 release and it's amazing! It's not exactly my style of music, but seeing the real project (with all the takes and everything) is awesome, and Finneas did it will all stock plugins. It's proof that you can make a Grammy winning album without a bunch of expensive 3rd party plugins and just use Logic. I love when updates come out because it feels like Christmas! They always include a bunch of awesome new toys to play with and great workflow enhancement. You can tell that the team behind Logic truly does care for their work.

Hey Gaming Zone, thanks for stopping by the channel! I'm a huge fan of Logic (obviously), so I love recommending it. But I would be remiss to not point out that you'd obviously have to adapt your workflow. For example: Logic has great sounding electronic drums, but it doesn't have a step sequencer like Studio One or Fruity Loops. We use the Piano Roll. My suggestion would be to dig into the Logic features on the Apple Website (www.apple.com/logic-pro/) and on KZread before hitting the buy button.
Can you make a video on all famous artusts and studios that are using logic pro? how common is logic pro? had an argument with a musician friend...
