I woke up early this morning with this song on my heart. It’s every bit as relevant today as it was when Bob Dylan wrote down these words over 50 years ago.
Bruce Springsteen, before performing it at The Kennedy Center Honors for Bob Dylan, said: “This song was written in a moment in our country’s history when people’s yearning for a more just society exploded. Bob Dylan had the courage to stand in that fire, and he caught the sound of that explosion.”
It’s become especially clear this year that our country is still molten hot with those same issues, the tectonic plates are still shifting, and the struggle for a more just society continues. Dylan’s indictment of those who would try to halt that process is just as powerful now as it was then.
Wherever you are in the world, whatever your background, your political affiliation, your age or gender, take a moment today and listen to these words, reaching across half a century to remind us that the wheels of change will continue to turn with or without our individual permission, and we can either be part of building the future, or get run over by it. It’s a bold, uncompromising song, and that’s why its teeth are just as sharp today as they were then.
We have rescheduled most of our 2020 concerts. Take a look at the dates and see if we're coming to your town later this year or early next year! reinadelcid.com/#shows

I'm 74. I heard this song when it was published. I have never heard a more powerful performance.

Understated...in a beautiful way. I remember the promise of the future in 1963, when I was 19, and impatient to break free of what I saw as the constraints and errors of the past. Perhaps a naive thought, but hopeful, nonetheless. We made our own mistakes and found our own limitations, but I think the world is now a better place overall than it was then. I think Dylan was appealing, as Lincoln put it, to "the better angels of our nature". The darker impulses will always be there, and the world will never be perfect, but we can always make it a little bit better. Thank you, Reina, for bringing those thoughts forward these sixty years.
Every generation has ached for change. We have all felt like we are hostages to our antagonists policies and practices. This song will always be relevant, because there is always hope to be better. We can all "change the times", by being better people, better neighbors, and better to each other. Thank you for choosing this song of hope; I needed this.

Not really. Some of us don’t feel we are hostage to our own ways. If we did we would change. Surely, everyone can improve, but for many of us being better people is not going to stop others from burning, destroying, looting, disrupting others’ lives and attacking people whenever something doesn’t go just as they want. Of course, we have seen similar behavior following hurricanes and other natural disasters, winning sports championships, and so forth. Whatever seems seems a good excuse to run wild and steal. Those of us who would never contemplate such behavior aren’t going to change those things by working on our foibles. Many “times” have changed for the better and many for worse.

You make a good point, but that will never happen unless you rid the world of drugs, immortality, and insecurity. Dylan was from the hippy era, a musical genius no doubt. But all they did was leave a drug culture thats still killing people today, yet is the most denied problem in the country. The high class use, it makes them greedy, the low class use, they kill for it, the middle class use to fit in and be cool, and all are insecure and in denial. Stoners blame drunks, drunks blame pill poppers, pill poppers blame crackheads, and they are all the same, period. Hippies blamed government, yet took government handouts, used state funded health depts, and free clinics to get deloused from crabs and lice, shots for VD, and to be helped when ODing. They became upper middle class home and business owners and defended capitalism with an iron fist. It was all gibberish, pure and simple. Its nice to stay stoned, sit around and talk about how its everyone elses fault the world is so terrible, but its nicer to acheive goals, be able to maintain a stable enviroment for you and your family, and to always look at the cup as half full and be happy about it, rather than half empty and blame everyone but the one yapping about it but doing nothing.....

Things don't always change for the better.
I often wondered, what if Dylan had only been a poet never putting his rhymes to music. He'd never had the impact he has with music. Hope you and Toni keep singing and playing. The world needs the therapy of music. Stay in the light.
I am 72 and play guitar and i love Bob Dylan's songs. This is the best cover i have heard. Please tour England again. Until then i will play along with you on this song.
You can never go wrong covering that genius. Great job.

Have to say as an old codger this song brings back so many memories and never sung better than your Reina
As a person old enough to be your parent, it's so encouraging to see the new generation engaged. With all that is happening keep the faith, everything that starts eventually stops and the cycle starts again hopefully from a better starting point. Love your work, keep it up.
Thanks a lot for "reanimating" this old song. I'm an old man now who grew up with Dylan's lyrics that opened my mind as a kid. This song is still the truth and it is up-to-date! Go young generation, stand up as we did in the past. It's definitely time!!! 5 past 12 Greetings from germany
Came here for the music, fell in love with Reina and her voice. Not just me right?? Such soul to her performances. Love it!
A beautiful and powerful song performed beautifully and powerfully. Thank you.
That haunting, whispering, then soaring voice. So unique and utterly compelling. Instantly recognizable as Reina. I'll see you somewhere out on the road again, one day. Peace!
I love many of the covers you and Toni do especially the Dylan songs. Thank you :)
I love listening to this young lady. Everything she plays and sings is beautiful.
It is good! I'm a 40-year-old Japanese who has been fond of Bob Dylan since I was a junior high school student, but it was this song that made me play the guitar for the first time. You think the guitar and singing voice are stable, and the chords are arranged in detail, which is wonderful.
A timeless classic beautifully sung that shows the world had its problems then as it does now and anyone yearning for the good old days is filtering out the bad. I was about 10 when this first come out. ❤️
What a delight ! A rare "solo" performance, and of one my old fave songs - and quite "timely" as well - Brilliant ! Plus, if I may, I've heard & listened & sung-along (mostly) to this song for at least 50 years... but only you, today, made clear what Bob did not: "If your time to you is worth savin" - thank you for that - it FINALLY makes sense(!) - and you sang it so clearly & beautifully !! (All I got from Dylan was, "and your time in the US is haven"... which never quite made sense, but, I dunno... it's Bob?) Cheers - and happy wishes for you
Thank you for the cover & these timeless words as our planet withers away. Well done.!
I hope you will sing this more often. Indeed a song of hope. So relevant these days and it will bring together young and old. Those hippies from the sixties, let's hope that they remember the truth that sparkled below their ideals.
Nobody that I know of in the 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, etc. have covered this as well as you Queen Reina! (

This hit home Reina. Written in my day by the Nobel Prize winner. As true today as it ever was. Thanks for stirring my memory, nice job! Cheers...Sunday morning.
Dylan: The Master - always. Reina: superb - always.
Awesome performance of a timeless and evergreen song. Beautiful guitar by the way!
Nice. Beautiful. Full of soul, full of passion. So true, by the way - more than 4 decades since release. Go on with those wonderful interpretations of classic meaningful songs. Congrats for this happy Sunday morning. Stay healthy.
Thank you for playing some of the classics so people can hear the words and understand their meanings 50 years later
One of my favorite Dylan songs and so appropriate for this time in my life. I want you two to know, both Toni and you, how much your music makes me smile. Thank you so much for that.
Reina, this song. really takes me back in time. You do such a good job on this Dylan song.
And now, here we are one year later! These times have most certainly changed. Brought a tear or three. Love your rendition of this classic!
Hi from SoCal... I was 11 in 1969 in Redondo Beach, Ca., my friends older brothers finishing HS were registering for draft and kind of scared.. Bob Dylan and the Stones albums were playing everywhere and it was another Summer of Love, VW bugs, skateboards and long surfboards... You evoke a lot of memories with this song... Like your choices of material 🥰
Thank you Reina. NOW I'm crying. You are so beautiful.
Another excellent performance! Love that song. Every time I drive from Fargo to Lake Vermilion I go through Hibbing and think of Bob (Zimmerman) Dylan. He gave us a lot of immortal lyrics and melodies.
Such a timeless great. Simple cords, simple message. With a message that as yet to be accepted by generations since it was written. Just remember peace and love and kindness can heal this world, no matter was time.
This was sung with the thoughtfulness and dignity that was merited for such an iconic song on such an iconic day. Well done, Reina.

You've got me whistling this beyond your solid performance, still tapping my foot and letting the greater meanings of this great song empower me. Thanks for sharing great talent!! Bob would be smiling!
I like the Denim, reminds me of high school, great song and also belated thanks for king of the road ,very well done Lee (from Sherbrooke Quebec)
The times once again are changing. We have turned a corner and I see blue skies far in the distance. Beautiful performance.
They are, indeed. And not all for the good. Thanks, Reina for a lovely and honest rendition of a meaningful work of art.
Good timing to sing this great song exactly now. Hope to see you again in better times. Please stay healthy all together.
There is something captivating about this classic song performed by a singer with just an acoustic guitar. Wonderful.
Great cover of this song. It's one of the first songs I learned to play 50 years ago. I hope the biggest change we see now is the re - UNITING of this country. Peace and happy Sunday morning from upstate New York.
This voice this smile.
Always delightful to experience your work. A very timely song. The times are surely a changin' Just might not be what most might think. God bless!
Thanks so very much for playing this. You do it jusice.
Nice... Reina looks and sings like young women of the time of this song... I remember that, l was young and now 73 '!! From France.
You. Have. A. Perfect. Voice. You project optimism.
Lovely singing/playing... simple, and effective! Great version of this classic. Thanks Reina!
Brings back so many memories. Happy and sad. Thanks for your beautiful rendition.
Yes, they are Reina! Thank you for your beautiful gentle voice!
Excellent. Simple chords, Great vocals and strumming. Bravo.
I live for your Sunday Morning weekly songs, and you never disappoint me with your (and Toni's) works! Especially with this "craziness" we are goimg through. I can't wait for your next Sunday Morning.
Rachelle, a few things in this world make me happy.. you and your music and my horses! Please don’t stop, PS Toni, rocks!
I’ve loved that song for nearly fifty years.... thanks for recording it....
Bob wrote that song just for you Reina. Beautifully done!!👍❤️👍
Beautiful job Reina, and I love the sound of your Martin! So deep and warm sounding. Dylan wrote and recorded this song at a sad time less than a year after Kennedy got gunned down ! The world wasn't the same after that but songs like this consoled us!

Thank you for sharing the music this morning, and every other week. It's been a source of joy, optimism, and positivity during a time of fear, confusion, hope, respect, and change. Peace and love to you.
I didn't appreciate what a brilliant lyricist Dylan was until I tried writing them myself, this is a wonderful cover and quite timely.
The long hair and the eyes, GORGEOUS!
You are so talented, every time I hear another song by you I am absolutely blown away! Beautiful, smart, funny and talented. I hope to one day play along side of you.
Thank You Reina ....Search the right song for the times, and so beautifully executed, happy Sunday morning
A timeless song that is very appropriate for our current times. Great performance!
Those chords! Delightful. Moving
Yes they are!! Thanks Reina.
Thank you. Thank. you. Thank you. For months. you (and several of your friends) have made it easier for me to weather this storm, this reality we are facing. It has been hard, but I have personally gained so much comfort and joy from your music. This here, today, was just what I needed. An injection of musical hope, coupled with a call to action. This world is worth saving. And I truly do hope the times are changin.
One of the finest covers you have uploaded. Great stuff.
Love Reina's voice, playing and singing. And adore how she kept her nerve when she messed up one chord, just went on and finsihed the song. And uploaded it.
Woah!! The way you changed the chords is beautiful... Awesome cover
I love your voice giving these classic songs a different, but yet familiar feel. Keep it going!
Yeap you know when Reina is singing. I love her calming voice.
Great Cover of a wonderful Dylan tune................!
Thankful for the internet so we can hear beautiful music like this instead of the news. Thanks from Ohio!
I really like Reina's interpretation of this song. Dylan's performance of it was very emotional. It seemed as if he was outrightly angry at what he was seeing going on around him, and his anger was palpable. Reina sounds more like she's troubled and concerned about the events that she has witnessed this past year or so. Her underlying message is the same, but the performance comes across as more of an admonishment, as if she were saying, "Listen to me; you need to understand what I'm saying here." And besides that - Reina's voice is a lot easier on the ears :)

@@Herzeleydt_Diesentrueb Well, of course it's my opinion. I certainly didn't mean to imply otherwise. OK - here, let me rephrase: "I've always felt that Dylan's performance of it was very emotional. It seemed to me as if he was outrightly angry..."
This is such a great song of his. One of my favorites!
Your voice And persona is like a warm soft blanket right out of the dryer.... very comforting and wonderful.
Beautiful performance of one of my favorite Dylan songs and yes, it is still relevant! Power to the people.
This might be the best version of this song that I have heard in a long time. Great job!
Absolutely, your voice adds so much value to any song and any cover.
I’ve been watching you since the beginning. It’s been wonderful to see you blossom musically from a passionate teen to a talented young woman. This song really suits your voice and style. Much love from austin Texas. Cheers.
And she does it again..... Reina, you never cease to make Sunday worthwhile. Thank you for another one.
Politicians suck, you ROCK, thanks for sharing.
Thank you. One of my favorite songs by my favorite song writer.
Lovely! Enjoying the subtle changes to the chords which work beautifully
As always Reina, just beautiful. Love the modulation in those added chords. ❤️
... WOW !!! ... Beautiful Arrangement Reina !!! ... what a Great Upload !!! ... Congratulations !!! ... Greetings from Orlando, Florida !!! ... Carlos. Subbed !!!
Wow. That is fantastic. You have captured and re-invented this classic at this crucial moment. Thank You.
I have nothing clever to say about this. You have a beautiful voice and I felt a spark of real hope listening to this.
I’ve been a Dylan fan since the 60’s and often cringe at some of the covers I’ve heard over the years but not here. As usual Reina you are brilliant, please keep up the good work. And let’s hope in light of very recent events the times really are a changin - and for the better. Peace, love and RESPECT everyone.
I love your wonderful, unique, gentle voice. Thank you for creating peaceful moments like this.
Perhaps your best performance, and a song ideally suited to the singer. Nice job.
Beautiful voice and beautiful playing. Thank you!
I literally heard this song an hour before you posted your rendition! It's such a weird coincidence! Justice done as always, cheers!
Beautiful as always! Thanks!
powerful and timely interpretation of this song. thank you, reina.
I was wondering if we would have something appropriate today and you didn't disappoint. The world is a happier place.
Excellent...out of the U of M we have Reina AND Bob Dylan..not to mention Garrison Keillor and even me. :-)
Your voice is particularly sweet and soothing today. Thanks for this version of one of Dylan's masterpieces.
Timely and wonderful. Thanks for a perfect cover for these times.
Your voice always brings me comfort. Cheers!
