​@@FreeeJIt amazes me that EA or Sega has never made it but a basketball manager game that is just 2K without the actual basketball game played, would be nice. But they become speed running because its not very entertaining to draw seasons out. Its more about tge end result or a goal than the journey.

@@JimBob-jr5up i disagree i think the community lead into that because it’s the easiest and don’t take much work. there’s channels out there that create long term play throughs with storylines. meanwhile these guys content are just 1.Whats the latest trade rumor, do it and win championship. 2. what’s the worse teams in the league? use them and rebuild and trade untill the team is unrecognizable and win championship. rinse and repeat and you got your average myleauge channel.

@@JimBob-jr5up also what kills me the most is how unrealistic the trades be 😂. at least make your video unique from everyone else but nah these niggas be doing the exact same trades with the exact same players . like where’s the challenge or fun in that?? i make my saves 10x realistic and im doing it for fun not to get paid off some that take no more then an 1:1/2

@@FreeeJ Well, okay. I wouldnt want to watch a long term season sim someone else is playing for weeks. Ill take 10 minutes to see how a trade rumor turns out on 2K though. I think most would choose the latter but who cares? Thats why theres different channels.

I’m a huge Thunder fan, but I’m not sure how much I believe in Lauri. He goes to a bad team and sees his stats inflated because, somebody has to score. I’m just not sure. Like, right now he looks like he’s balling, but idk if it’s empty stats? I kinda just want to ride this season out and see what happens, with the exception of the deep part of the bench.

Hey Crush! Love the videos but I feel like if you want to match the realism then you should put injurys on. This also requires you to have more depth because some times you only have 9-10 players that are usable because injury is off

Lauri Markkanen on the Thunder would be an extremely intriguing concept. Overall, it would secure the Thunder a playoff spot in the 2024 NBA Playoffs and establish the Thunder as long-term contenders moving forward into the future.

Playoff is already secured. The Thunder won’t have money to pay 4 max contracts unless the guys decide to sacrifice for one another

@@D3liveringChaos Sam Presti will convince the Thunder players to take less. He will pinpoint the example of the failed young trio of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden. This trio was broken up due to financial reasons. Otherwise, there is a good chance that they would either 1) all still be together in Oklahoma City and/or 2) won championships together in Oklahoma City by now. However, this did not happen and money and greed for money was the reason, and it got in the way of team success and continuity, which is why Sam Presti shipped James Harden to Houston after the Thunder lost to the Heat in the 2012 NBA Finals. Over a decade later, the memories are etched in Sam Presti's mind most likely and the wounds of that broken Big 3 have not disappeared from Oklahoma City nor from the minds of loyal Thunder fans. Therefore, arguing the principle of maximal team success given that it is the year 2024, and that both James Harden and Russell Westbrook have won zero championships (they would have won at least one had that trio not been broken up prematurely due to financial reasons) while Kevin Durant has won two but was capable of winning more but on a separate team and has left that separate team for the Nets while also getting traded to Phoenix since winning his last title, I believe Sam Presti will tell the young Thunder core to sacrifice for one another and not allow personal agendas and egos infringe on team success and destroy continuity, like it did when Sam Presti For these reasons, I firmly believe there is logic and cadence behind the idea of the Thunder trading for Lauri Markkanen, although I believe Sam Presti will still prioritize the long-term vision in Oklahoma City when it is all said and done, so this trade where Lauri Markkanen heads to the Thunder might not occur, all in all.

Markkanen to the Thunder is the missing piece they need to cement their spot as contenders

Exactly, Cade Cunningham secretly wanted to go to the Thunder and for the Thunder to trade up for him in the 2021 NBA Draft. After they did not do this, he was forced to put on a fake smile on his way to Detroit to play for the Pistons, who rewarded him with only losing. I am 100% sure Cade Cunningham's career would have gone better had he gone to the Thunder rather than the Pistons, who have not built a team around him at all.

I think OKC should continue to be patient, its not like they're in a rush. I also think they shouldn't continue to make their team a defensive powerhouse, they don't need any additional scoring tbh, Markhanen would harm their defence.

It wouldn’t harm their defense, because he’d replace Giddey. You could argue his defense is on par with Giddeys, but he’s not any worse. Plus hes 7ft so it’ll be easier to make some plays on defense for him

Don’t know how they would do it but I wanna see Lauri get traded to the Kings. They need a reliable 2nd/3rd option

Sounds great but won’t happen, at least this year. Sam is ahead of schedule, Josh is coming into gear, Chet improves by the game and with 10-15 added pounds will be generational, Ousmane could be a gem just turning 20, plus Cason. In short, still no rush to pay a max. The reason Sam is Sam is he won’t do what the average fan knee jerks.

I think if they could pull that off, that would be dope. A trio of shai, Lauri, and chet for the next 10 years will be dangerous. They should get rid of giddy in the deal.

Trading the odd man out, which should be Giddey, would help complete the roster and with say Markkanen, allows us to have him until JDub and Chets first extended year. So 3 full seasons. As a side note, i think OKC would be contenders if we got Ainge to take Giddey, Mann, Bertans and start with 2 firsts but go as high as 4 total for Markkanen and Okynik. While Markkanen makes us contenders i feel like nabbing a back up big who can play our offense but is also a low post dirty work guy, would really put us over the top.

@JimBob-jr5up Well, 3 seasons is still far away of the 10 seasons ChiTownMade was talking about 😉😂 With the new appron stuff it would be hard to have four max guys though later, so if the guys develop to be as good as OKC fans would like to, they will have hard decision to do at some point.

@@magicofshootingstar5825 Oh yah. Unless Markkanen would sign pretty team friendly deals after, we couldnt keep him. And that is part of the genius of Presti, that 5th star is going to have to be a 2 to 4 year rental made via a trade. The 4 we drafted (er, 3+1) we could keep for 8 to 10 total.
