The fact that the public has to remain calm while police officers violate our rights is truly terrifying. When our rights are being violated we should be mad as hell and fight like hell - and those we charge with defending those rights should instantly be held accountable for violating them. It's insane that anybody would think it's on the public to calm down bad policing!

@@neilgodfrey6578 Unless it’s aggravated (which this isn’t), trespass is a civil matter, which means the police have no power to remove you or interfere. They can observe and they can ask you to leave, but they cannot force you. Case law has repeatedly stipulated that aggravated trespass cannot be applied to those merely engaging in photography or filming. Aggravated trespass requires intentional obstruction of lawful activities or commission of crime. For example, a burglar commits aggravated trespass as they enter private property to commit burglary. Similarly, case law has covered the use of section 43 of the terrorism act (which police often try and use) for those filming; it’s been ruled that such filming must be covert not overt. Thus, many civil claims have been successfully made by auditors against the police for unlawful arrest under this legislation.

The two women looked more like tenth rate film stars than police, and wouldn't stop interrupting. The detective was just a scruff. Is that a gay flag? If so the commissioner needs sacking. He needs it anyway for allowing all the rubbish things. How do they find the time to waste? Even the sergeant went wrong by not stating his camera was on. A total disaster.

That female cop saying you can't just walk in her private garden is wrong. You can, even though it might be trespassing to go into her private garden, it's a civil matter, and the police wont get involved unless it becomes aggravated trespass. So if the police yard was private, even though it isn't, at worst it'd be a civil matter.

Excellent audit Yorkshire. Acting as a representative for the landowner, but paid for by the taxpayers this is private property. He may be right or not, but the easiest way to keep the public out of sensitive areas is with clearly marked signs and some kind of barrier. No need to look like Colditz castle. I think once you are asked to leave regardless of implied right of access you must comply. Otherwise you risk being trespassed. You can research and challenge the decision/action another time. The differance being that banaman never said or claimed to be a police officer, only demonstrated that wearing the uniform does not constitute impersonation. To qualify for that offence you have to show intent to deceive or perform the duties of a police officer. So yea bad idea to even jokingly say that you are police

What’s going to happen in next year is new laws on filming police stations, I think it’s already being past through parliament as we speak, so it’s good showing one side but the other side is you have made things worse when these new laws come in, by the way I’m not a big police fan and had many dealings with them but every time someone highlights something they change laws, they can search houses now without owners being present due to body cams, they have those Nasty handcuff rachetts now that kill your hands and wrists for days, mine went numbe for days, it’s a joke because they change laws when ever someone points things out.
