The Three Main Gods in Hinduism (Trimurti)

There are many, many Gods in Hinduism, all being in some way a small part of the omnipotent Brahman. This video is a simple introduction to the Three Main Gods who are known as the Trimurti.

There are a lot of mistakes in this. 1. Krishna is not the 1st avatar of Vishnu, he is 8th. Rama is the 7th. Kalki is an avatar yet to come. 2. Krishna did not live until his elderly age. He was always a wise being, and taught about true love and spreading love to everyone not about flirting. 3. When mentioning the Trimurti’s it is also important to talk about the Tridevi’s who are the Trimurti’s shakti (power). Without Goddess Parvati/Durga/Kali (Nature and Destroyer), Shiva would not be able to destruct. Without Goddess Saraswati (Goddess of Knowledge), Brahma wouldn’t be able to create (You need knowledge, teachings and wisdom to create which came from Saraswati). Without Lakshmi (Goddess of Fortune) Vishnu wouldn’t be able to Preserve the Earth. 4. Shiva has a third eye but only opens it for destruction when it is necessary 5. Trimurti except for Brahma are prayed to by most Hindus, not just people of Sri Lanka. 6. Hanuman was an incarnation of Lord Shiva, in monkey form. Both Vishnu and Shiva are supreme gods along with Brahma, that are one, just in 3 forms. That is why Vishnu and Shiva pray to each other, because they pray to ultimate truth. 7. Brahma had only 3 heads due to a sin he did 8. All the Trimurti’s explain that Karma is the biggest teaching and even they themselves follow it. 9. Shiva wears a snake, vasuki, on his neck, and carries Chandra (Moon) on his head, so the moon could live (There is a story about this). He wears animal skins of dead animals that have already died (because he will not kill an animal for his own purpose). He wears them because he does not care about materialistic things such as fancy clothing, he uses the resources he has, meditates, and stays happy. 10. Shiva is not red, and not actually shown with fire. He is shown as a shivling and other icons. 11. You missed the Sudharshan Chakra on Vishnu, as well as the lotus. 12. You missed how he lives in Vaikunt, with Sheeshnag and Lakshmi. Also, please do not use an accent to pronounce Hindu words. That way, the word is not being pronounced properly, and you are indirectly making fun of it. Please also do not use these depictions of the gods. Please get a picture from the web, that showcases the god’s true holdings and appearance.

Warlords weren't the only ones who went to war in ancient India. Those conches were blown in wars between armies of waring kingdoms too. 2:40 Your pronunciation of Indian words in the video sounded as if you're trying to speak in Spanish accent 😂 3:05 "Hanuman" wasn't a monkey 'king", their king was "Sugriva" & later his younger brother "Bali" (not sure if Bali island is named after him)

+Vladislaus Schwärz like anything, there's good forms and bad forms of it. Unfortunately, the only group I've seen in America are the Hare Krishnas, and (at least where I live) they're a pretty bad cult. Encourage their members to sell their houses and live in the temple and pass out "annotated" (hardly resembles the real thing) copies of bagavad gita on city streets. I want to get to know a non-cult group, actually, just can't find one.

B-List History Hare Krishnas are a joke. They are called Vaishnav in Sanskrit and Boishnob in my tongue.Their virtue signalling is annoying as fuck, they want everybody to be vegans, love and shits like that.If anyone moves from basic human natures which doesn't harm anyone and moves to pseudo empathy "look I'm Jesus" they are completely irrelevant to any social structure to be fair. And yes, they force people like cultists.Actually the concept of Hare Krishna has an interesting backstory.Gauriya Vaishanivism came from Bengal,a province in the east of India during Indian middle ages.It was under Turko Afghan rule back then. And the founder of the Vaishnava movement-Chaitanya took a strategy of Gandhism to make the muslim ruler feel bad about abusing this little cute dancing cultists who would just say "love" to every interrogation. That was how it took momentum.Like if I ask you to hit more more, you eventually will stop hitting me.The funny part is they didn't got success and Vaishnavs were still being persecuted till the Mughals conquered Bengal.Krishna is not anyway a deity of love-that's Hare Krishna interpretation,he is more of a trickster and have his divine will executed by manipulating people. The saddest joke is the Vaishnavs think Gita to be their "huly buk".Gita is all about the philosophy of tricking enemies in life and battlefield. Its an incontextual Art of War version of India in my opinion, lol.

+Vladislaus Schwärz it's kind of sad that Hare Krishna is the only group that's widespread in the west. I've seen them in multiple locations, and they flock to big cities because their system can't function without a nearby city to leech people from. Also the "ask them to keep punching you" thing reminds me of Ghandi and the salt march. It seems kind of a fluke of history that it worked when he tried it, but that guy was pretty smart. He is sort of misrepresented in the west though. People view him as sort of a "peace and love" type figure like MLK when really he should be viewed as a logical strategist. He knew the Brits could easily beat an armed rebellion, but would have a hard time against economic disruption. Is he viewed differently where you are because he's part of your country's history?

Hanuman was not the king of the monkeys who faught Ravan with Ram.Hanuman was sort of side kick and loyal bodyguard of Ram.Sugrib was the monkey king who allied with Ram.The backstory behind this is after being exiled by Bali,Sugrib's elder brother and the king of the monkeys,Sugrib came to know Ram.Ram was sort of a man of means. He suggested Sugrib that he should challenge Bali to a single combat and if the battle turns out bad Ram will snipe him from afar.Bali was always a better warrior than Sugrib and after few moments of fight sent Sugrib flying.Ram sniped Bali and Sugrib subjugated the rest of the kingdom to be his vassals.Hanuman was supposedly of royal line too but he abandonned princehood on the pursuit of being Ram's sidekick.Great video, though, thanks.

Trimurti isn't a thing in the Vedas. There is only Dyaus Pitra (Sky Father), his consort Prithvi Matha (Mother Earth), and his offsprings, who are the major deities of the Vedic pantheon being; Indra, Soma, Agni, and Vayu. There is also mention of Rudra (believed to be a form of Shiva, although the connection has never clearly been established but only suggested and later on asserted).

As a metaphor (not just in Indian paganism, but equally so for the pre-Christian religions of Europe) it kind of works as a metaphor. One aspect of the universe, natural law, can be personified as Brahma. Another aspect, the destructive force -- entropy perhaps, can be personified as Shiva, and so on. The problem is when this stuff is taken literally and yogis make claims to be able to levitate or to put their arm in one river and have their had come out on a river on the other side of the world. Obviously that's all a steaming crock of horseshit.

Vahana isn't the name Vahana literally means vehicle Brahma's vahana is a swan 🦢 Also Shiva's hair isn't the source of Ganga, rather there's a mythological explanation behind it. Ganga used to flow in the heavens, but when it Goddess Ganga(personification of the river) wanted to land on Earth, it would have caused destruction because the river would be falling from such a great height. So Shiva helped by asking Ganga to fall on his head thus saving the earth from the destruction.

Shiva tattva has also been explained as the Centripetal tendency... the Egyptian Trinity is Nuith, Hadit and Ra-Hoor-Khuit; Universe Mother, Father and Son, for a Quaternity Isis was also cited, perhaps better with the New Aeon. Now another goddess is in the place of Isis. Nuith, also called The Barren Saphaeiah, is the Tamasika (Witness or Testator); Hadit, the Rajasika; Ra-Hoor-Khuit the Sattvasika; the Daughter goddess, Kamasika. Religions such as centered on Krishna, the Mahavatar, are more correctly classified as Pagan; most certainly the Kama Sutra is- Hinduism is a Parenter Type religion, not for the Lover Types, Sex-fulfillment. All of that religious region has the same Wisdom deity, as in other areas also- for India, Nudimud or Nemed, for both hindus and pagans...

Shaivites claim Brahma obtained power from Shiva, Vaishnavas claim he obtained power from Vishnu, etc. The only thing all sects agree upon is that Trimurti, the Devas, and often the rest of existence as well are all ultimately manifestations of the Brahman. (Curiously enough, while Vishnu and Shiva both have movements devoted to their worship as the ultimate reality, there is no sect - at least in the modern era - that worships Brahma as the Brahman, despite the similarity of names.)

Hinduism is really an umbrella term for a huge number of religions, sects, and movements. There are movements that are basically monotheism with extra steps (Vaishnavisms and Shaivism that are devoted to Vishnu and Shiva respectively, believing that their God is the Brahman and the basis of all reality), there are more typical politheist movements where many Gods or Devas are worshipped, and there are many in between these two extremes. There are even atheist Hindu movements. Vishnu and Shiva (as well as their incarnations and spouses) are most popular throughout India, be it as part of Vaishnavism or Shaivism or as members of the Trimurti in other movements. Brahma isn't popular (despite similarity of names with the Brahman, reality itself) due to a number of factors - sectarian smears probably played some part (there are stories making Brahma incestous or incompetent) but ultimately the archetypical Deus Otiosus is rarely popular in world religions. Even non-Trimurti Devas such as Surya (the sun god, worshipperd as the Brahman in Saura branch of Hinduism) had better chance of becoming the basis of monotheistic movements simply because their ongoing activity meant that they were more popular.

Are you saying Brahman is the only god and that the gods and goddesses are manifestations of Brahman? By manifestations, could they be angels, fallen angels, demons, actual humans, animals, etc.? This is so confusing.

  • @TharsyanJaderuby

    @TharsyanJaderuby

    2 жыл бұрын

No. They are manifestations based on Brahman's attributes, aspects, names and forms. Think of Brahman as the preserver, Brahman takes the personified form of Vishnu. Or as a deity who is the embodiment of knowledge and wisdom, Brahman takes the form of Saraswati. There are no angels in Hinduism, the closest term for angel in Hinduism are asparas and ghandarvas, and the celestial gods (Devas). Demons might be asuras.

@@TharsyanJaderuby Brahman sounds like God the Father, God the Son (Yeshua, also known as Jesus) & Holy Spirit (Ruach haQodesh). The word translated as “Angel” really means “messenger.” I thank you for answering my question. I think all religions contain some truth, however all religions are not The Truth. I believe Jesus is the Way, the Truth & the Light. People have to decide for themselves who & what they believe.

To whom belongs the Kingdom of the Seven Heaven's and Earth 🌎 and all in Between. Everything comes as his Creation so Worship is only for him for which we are Created too.. Idol or Statue Worship was no more than Untrue Myths and that's why was forbidden by Prophet Ibraheem until the last day.. God's Grace and Mercy comes free so nobody needs to go through any Idols. Prophet Ibraheem was the Father of the Prophet's and all The Prophet's were Paternal Brothers so no exemption can be made, even with the Final and Seal of the Messengers. Prophet Muhammad.
