That's the beauty of Sanatāna Dharma, it understands the divine and nature of reality better than other religions. It explains that man and god are not separate that one is all and all is one. Each and every one of us whether in this life or our next can attain higher states of consciousness to experience god. It is not a prescriptive religion, it doesn't tell you if you do this you'll go to heaven or hell, it simply advises of consequences to our actions. Hinduism is truly a transformative experience, there is no set path or one way to worship, it gives us a sense of spiritual democracy that each and every one of has a dharma to follow. Namaste 🙏

Does this religion talk about the point of it all? What’s the point of “being liberated” or “being one with god” or “being absorbed by Brahman” if a new cycle is going to inevitably happen and we’re going to just have to do it all over again. Sounds kind of exhausting to me. It sounds like we’re all Sisyphus desperately rolling that rock up the hill just for it to fall back down. What’s the point? Might as well just let the rock stay at the base of the hill and lay down and take a break.

@@talhaahmed2130 The point is to liberate yourself from the cycle of birth and death. A lot of times this means going back to a heavenly place or just escaping the suffering of the world in general. People have different beliefs in the culture so it's really up to interpretation.

@@talhaahmed2130 you haven't understood what samsara is, neither you have any understanding of atman/Brahamn. I can try to help you understand. So you are basically asking why samsara? ( I.e why repeated birth and death). The answer as per advaita Vedenta is simple: there is no samsara, there isn't any repeated birth or death, there is only one existence which we call atman. Atman is ever free, is never born, never dies, In fact atman is all that there is. Atman is Brahamn, which is Existence, Consciousness and Bliss. So you may ask what is samsara( why do we experience this world birthand death). The answer is simply, Samsara is an appearance . To understand this, think of the sky, the sky appears to be blue, we experience it as blue during the day. However in reality the sky is not blue. Similar we tend to experience samsara. The experience of samsara doesn't make samsara the absolute reality. No one gains enlightenment, no one gets liberated, no one is a spiritual seeker. The atman is ever free. And you are that!

@@VarunSharma-pp5rg why is the perception/illusion different from absolute reality(atman)? Is it because absolute reality is imperceptible? What is the point of samsara? Why does this phenomenon exist? If we are free, why do we purposefully constrain ourselves to finite beings? The main reason I feel unsatisfied is it doesn’t answer the question I want answered the most: What is the point of life?

Shiva does NOT represent actually the destructive process in creation. More precisely represents the metamorphosis of everything into new things. As Lavoisier said: "Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed but evething is transformed". Evolution can be a trait of Shiva.

@Disc Golf The Trimurti issue, with thousands of years, had changed a lot. More of less happened the same with the doctrine of the Trinity. All religions are somehow connected one to another. But you can find your own Trimurti inside of your own Self. Because every human being is inwardly made up of 3 or more people that "talk" among themSelves (as you can see when you think) but are just One. The primordial idea is the closest to the Truth. The 5 heads have multiple meanings. They can represent human beings, but also the 5 senses and the 5 elements of Nature (water, fire, air, earth and aether). In both cases they represent anyway the total control the Deity have on every type of matter. The control on Creation.

Pretty good amigo. Just like most religions,most Hindus don’t understand. One can think of Brahman as totality of consciousness. Swami sarvapriyananda is pretty good on this. So is Joseph Campbell. Good luck.

When I first studied Hinduism decades ago, I was initially confused between Brahman and Brahma. Not only do they sound nearly the same but both can be seen as 'creative' since Brahman is the source of everything and Brahma makes it manifest. Shiva can be considered entropy personified in some respects.

This was very cool. I've been drawn, inexplicably, to Hinduism in the last few months, starting with a song sung by Shankar Mahadevan and three female dancers on KZread. Then I quickly turned to the Ardhanareeshwara dances and Shiva. I didn't think I liked destruction. I'm Jewish by ethnicity, and God's always creative. Though He destroys, He's always considered the force of creation. But anyway, I'm transfixed to Shiva, and since my life sucks, feeling removed from God. I went to a temple yesterday. I went to one in Flushing months ago because I was told the food was good. There were hundreds if not thousands of gods there. Figurines. The main one is Ganesha, I read, and the temple is a historic landmark because it was the site of the first church in the early United States. But when I went, a man rounded up the white people and took us to the basement to discuss the temple's history. Then I ate at the cafe. But yesterday, I went to a temple in Jamaica, Queens because I was working in the area, and thought, I'm going to see this Shiva. Maybe I need to pray differently. I'm drawn inexplicably to Shiva. What I do when I pray to God is fuss about the status of my life, and He and I are at odds. He thinks I should suffer and be poor, and I think otherwise. I went into this comparatively small temple yesterday. It was empty but for a worker. There were roughly 10 gods, or dolls. It took me a while to figure out which doll was Shiva. He wasn't the central god. Not the big doll but a smaller doll. He had a snake around his neck and a trident, like Shiva has. The big doll was Baba Balak Nath. I have no idea what he's the god of. I looked at the dolls for several minutes, and thought to myself, not sure I can pray to a doll.

In Hinduism God is Brahman which is infinite existence consciousness bliss and it's symbol is 🕉️ and Hindu trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Siva originated from supreme Brahman through Maya. They are devathas or incarnations (not gods )of supreme Brahman.

The long count vs the short count is such a significant difference, and I’m a little confused how these two very different views can simultaneously exist..

I would start with the Puranas and the Upanishads, it appears in those texts like the Maitri Upanishad. After that I'd move into Shiava and Vaishnava texts. It is appears in so many texts. As for the yugas, well the traditional long count system is the one most Hindus follow. The short count mainly was the creation of Sri Yukteswar. Most Hindus are unfamiliar with the short count system. You need to remember there was no short count system a few hundred years ago, so they have not always existed together. I would recommend following the traditional one because that is the original.

All my life or most of my life i have always went str8 to the source. Even now, for example i have 3 bosses that could be seen as Demi gods in hinduism. If i want to know something, they are not a bad source to get info from. But it is possible they might not be telling me the truth, or giving me half truths from an original source that are connected to. So in this situation which i had recently, i had to go to directly to the source to get a job done for me right then and there easier. Because if i continued to rely on my boss, nothing would have been answered unless i were to go to him again and ask. Maybe he would have taken care of it for me the 2nd time, idk. All i know is, in a spiritual sense i went & prayed to the ultimate source and got a faster answer. It makes me feel more comfortable, because between the source and demi sources, infomation can be altered & they might not know all the info like i said. Or by ego, they think they know everything but they don't. Just like Brahma thought he was the only creator

I feel like in monotheistic religions the attributes of Brahma, Shiva and Vhisnu come together in One God and Brahman in that case represents Gods Nature and Law. It is almost the same thing but just more practical since clears up the confusion about who to worships.

Good explanation. I always wondered if Brahman is the supreme source. Why then so many gods and deities?. This explanation clarified that. Thanks.

Without destruction there could be no creation, without sustaining there would be no need for creation. Creation is but an after thought in the many cycles.

Jayson, if Brahman is the creative process, why do Hindus seem to invoke Shiva in their Mantras and worship, considering Shiva is the destroyer? Also do you feel the Asian spirtual paths from China to India influenced each other?

I like Jayson with a y John. Haha. I thought I explained your question in the video. First of all, Brahma is the creative principle, not Brahman. Hindu's usually either worship Shiva or Vishnu. There are many reasons Hindus don't follow Brahma, one is that he comes forth from the navel of Vishnu so he is considered down the order of gods so to speak. You will find Shiva worshiped a lot in south India and places like Varanasi, and the worship of Vishnu in north India. Also for Shiva, on an individual level it is the destroyer of the ego, or better said the process of the ego's dissolution. Ass for China and India, yes they have influenced each other. But from all accounts, India has influenced China more so considering Buddhism's journey into China.

Goddess lalitha ( prakruthi) is the parabrahman ( nirguna parabrahman) who created brahma , Vishnu and Shiva and everything. She is beyond everything and everyone.

the other day i had a dream about creation and existence itself about to be erased, like i was at the end of the universe, like the end of times. and i was given the choice to be deleted and i could see the whole universe dying around me. there were three beings the "eraser" the one in charge of deleting everything like going back to that abstract place of existence. There was this male like figure that was alot like the voice we got in our heads that never shuts the hell up. And there was this female like being which apparently was the creator of universes as at the end when i was about to get deleted i chicken out and "asked" that being to help me escape and she created like a wormhole into another universe, and all that dream relates a lot to some of the things you said

If you try to improvise on a guitar or on drums, getting in the zone is a practical thing and, on the flip side, ego or thinking knocks it of the rails.... Being in the zone is about listening and ...like the Grateful Dead drummer said he's more into keeping the feel than keeping rythm... that's what's interesting to me.....because that thing of keeping it going....an energy going.. Trying to keep that energy going...then you stay in the zone....to me that takes conscious effort to focus on trying on trying to keep it going. The physical cycles are important lessons because Buddhism is all about that....teaching about impermanence..but I think there are practical lessons there about those creative energies that are really continuing...not just being created there.

sometimes it is hard to hear: is it meant Brahman or Brahma, because the names are so similar. I do not mean in your explanation/video, but overall. Therefore it is wise to listen out of the context; it is wise to listen carefully all the time. I hope you make a video about their girls

Nope, I'm sorry but you don't understand Vedanta. That is why in Vedanta you must transcend the personal to emulate Brahman, meaning one abides in Atman. Saguna Brahman is with qualities, but the absolute Brahman is Nirguna, which means it is without qualities. It is the ultimate substratum, nothing beyond it. That is just the way it is. So please be careful when stating something that isn't true, especially in regards to Sanatana Dharma. I teach the actual tradition. Hopefully you can respect that going forward my friend.

Hi, thanks for explaining the process behind the Gods. So from what I'm understanding, the process of the universe from beginning to end is personified as god like figures in the world, thus they are mainly representations creation, preservation and destruction. However, from Indians I have talked to, the Gods they worship may be a universal process but they are actual Gods as well. Meaning they aren't just metaphors or representations but like actual God-like beings that we can see, that can talk, eat fruits, fight one another in the Puranas etc. So I'm wondering when Hindus acknowledge these Gods are they just representations of processes as you imply or are they God like beings as well? Because it seems to me they come as one package of gods and processes, but from what I'm hearing it seems they are purely manifestations of natural laws/processes and not like a physical God with a head,body,arms etc. Thanks for clarifying.

Hi ! From what I undertstand (I started my spiritual and enlightenment journey years ago - I was raised in a Christian household but always despised religion then embraced spirituality) those Indians you’re talking about are religious not spiritual. Every religion has a spiritual mystical core (such as Kabbala for Jews or Sufism in Islam) but most humans choose the easy way and prefer to see God in a simplified way, as a “human, fatherly” figure rather than a Source of Energy. That’s the way I see things, but in the end all that matters is to try to be a compassionate, creative and loving human even if it’s hard to be kind all the time 😆. No one came back from the dead, no one knows if we’ll finally understand the Cosmos after death...

Sanadhana Dharma is the concept of omnipotent, omnipresent, all powerful and formless Brahman or Paramatma revealed in Vedhas in ancient India. It's the universal truth for religions that came after, be it Judaism, Christianity or Islam. However, the followers of these religions have deviated from the original concept and created dogma and doctrine different from Sanadhana Dharma. Quran is the latest revelation that is by far not corrupted or changed. I humbly request the author of this video and its subscribers to read Quran and reconcile with the similarities of Sanadhana Dharma in Quran. Sadly, Siddantham that most Hindus now follow has deviated so much from Sanadhana Dharma that almost 99% of them don't correctly correlate their God or deity to a Paramātman described in Vedhas. The concept of Paramātman is beautifully described as Thouheed or oneness in Quran Vaishnavam, Saiva Siddantham and other branches of Hinduism were developed by Saints and Sages of ancient time based on Vedha, Upanishad and Vedantha. Ithihasa and purana were developed for the understanding of these branches. Avatar and core deities were established by these Saints. For example while North India was practising Vaishnavam South Indians were faithful to Saiva Siddantham in which Shiva was the core deity in Tamil Thiru Moolak Kadavul. These are faith based denominations that have gone through various analysis and interpretation by ancient Saints and Sages. The deities and Gods found in Siddantham are several attributes of Brahman described in Vedha. Therefore, the forms and avatars in all denominations of Hinduism are the human interpretation of the various attributes of Brahman

Lol🤭 The Brahman is basically not like the god of any religion. Even the many Gods of Hinduism are not there. Nothing can be said about Brahman, because of his being, he is everything, he has created everything, but he is beyond all kinds of natural things. He is not affected by love, anger, jealousy, malice, greed, attachment, affection, hunger, thirst, happiness, sorrow, etc., any natural or in other words physical or material things. Because if he has created everything, then the creator will not be affected by his own creations. Therefore he will have neither love nor anger, he will neither be sad nor happy. Whereas all the Gods in the world have both anger and love. That's why the word Mukti (Ultimate Reality) is used for Brahman. Brahman is beyond the God of all religions. According to Hinduism, God is also a part of Prakriti (Nature) or Maya. That is why nature is also worshiped here. Because nature itself will show you the way to go beyond.

For example nature has no emotions but when a hurricane causes devastation on land we call it the furry of nature. It is the figure of speech in human language. Yes onus is on me to show the reference of Allah in Quran regarding Paramātman. Vedas depict Brahman as the Ultimate Reality, the Absolute or Paramātman (Universal Self). Brahman is the indescribable, inexhaustible, incorporeal, omniscient, omnipresent, original, first, eternal, both transcendent and immanent, absolute infinite existence, and the ultimate principle who is without a beginning, without an end , who is hidden in all and who is the cause, source, material and effect of all creation known, unknown and yet to happen in the entire universe. In Quran He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Grantor of Security, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. He is Allah, the Creator, the Producer, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. Do the above attributes fit the description of Brahman in vedhas? By the way, nature is not God. It is an infinitesimal portion of the universe of gigantic proportion created by God who is the only reality and all of the creations are Maya or impermanent and illusion.

@@nakeebissadeen1606 Allah has a lot of qualities that humans have, that's why there is a Brahman above Allah, Allah will also come in nature (Maya), just like our body and all the gods of the world come. If Allah had created everything, then the things made by him would not dominate in Allah, he would not get angry, there would be no need to lure him that if you do this you will get heaven and if you do this you will get hell. While Brahman is the source of energy, we all have a part of it too. He is the world, everything is there just because of his existence, there is no need to do anything about him, nothing can be said about him, where Brahman is mentioned, it is mentioned only after doing neti neti. He is not even worshiped for this reason, because even when we worship him we materialize him whereas he is beyond all this. It should also happen that all the people of the whole world believe in Allah. Quran is saying all this, it has problem with non-religious also, who call it by other names instead of Allah. So that's why Allah also became a part of nature (Maya) because he also has many natural qualities and demerits, like we all have. Below are some verses from Quran 👉Quran 2:191, 3:28, 3:85, 4:56,4:89, 5:33, 8:12, 8:60, 8:65, 9:5, 9:30, 9:123, 22:19, 47:4 etc..

@@nil.nilesh56 Yes, Brahman is source of energy and Brahman is also Paramātman from which Aathman or souls originated. If Paramātman is ocean, souls are the drops of water in the ocean. You have reasonable doubt how Allah can deliver his speech in human language and is involved in human interaction. Please allow me to explain. Vedas are Shruti ("what is heard") and considered to be apauruṣeya, which means "not of a man, superhuman and impersonal, authorless, revelations of sacred sounds and texts heard by ancient sages after intense meditation. It's a revelation from Brahman or Paramatma. Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years depending upon circumstances in a living language targeting the common man to understand his creator and to lead a life with high morality to attain the purification of his soul. It has also got verses understandable to people of intense meditation. For example, talking about the soul merging to Paramātman Verse 89:27-30 [To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul, Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], And enter among My [righteous] servants . And enter My Paradise." Here Paradise means the eternal bliss. Another example Verse 24:35 Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp; the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things. Hundreds of thousands if not millions have attained such higher spiritual enlightenment through meditation and understood the meaning of above and many similar verses in Quran. Many shrines you find in India are of those souls who found eternal bliss by understanding Allah as the Paramātman.

islam is only 1400 years old. And hinduism is atleast 5000 years old. So besically islam is totally copied religion. Islam makes no sense.🙏

Actually Abraham comes from BRAHMAN, as Sanathan Dharma is more than 5000 years old, and religions of Judaism came at least 2500 years later. Sokrates claimed that the original Jews are Indian Philosophers, and then Christianity and Islam were copied from the essentials of Judaism along with massive cultural & geographical embeddings.

Abraham come from Brahma...the father the creator...Sarah derived from Saraswati consort of Lord Brahma...and the mother of Devtas ( Good ) and mother of Danav( Bad) ADiti and Diti manipulated as two wife's of Abraham
