The only thin wrenches I own and use are thinner than both of those, made by Park Tools, Made in USA. Generally marketed as bicycle cone wrenches. They hold up very well, in daily use by lots of professional bike mechanics. As you say, thin wrenches are not high torque tools, and a good thin wrench will cut a slot in a normal steel nut if you try to put a lot of torque on them.

I've had a full set of Park cone wrenches for decades. They have never let me down.
Thin wrenches are a blessing when adjusting the leveling feet on appliances. 👍🏼

@@CPthetooladdict my washing machine walks and dances all over the place....i am gonna get those Capris.
The SAE thin wrench set was my first buy from Capri, love ‘em. They do what they are intended to, hold while you snug down a jam nut. I’d buy the Duratech set just so I had something for all the different air tool and grinder chucks. Can’t be worse than the stampings that come with the tool as long as they fit.
I have lots of Duratech tools and they have held up very well and their customer service has been great.
Awesome video brother. Man those are super thin. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT
Got the Capri thin set and the angled set last week. Absolutely love them.
Thanks for making this VIDJYA for us, CP!
i have 2 sets of the capris and they were also my first capri purchace. I love them zero complaints
Very cool. I have a set of thin wrenches from Park Tool that I've had for 20+ years that I use to adjust the preload on the older style bicycle hub bearings. They are open ended with vinyl covered handle. I use them in pairs to adjust cone (preload) then tighten down the locknut.
I've got some thin wrenches like the duratech ones and never had a problem, but you have to bare in mind being that thin limits the amount of torque you can put throught them, great video cp keep it up
Its gold...... okay anyhow. I have a vintage (40s) set of these. Bluepoint tappet wrenches. They were my father's.
I've been looking at Capri since before I started following you. Finally pulled the trigger on some semi deep 3/8 impact sockets. They showed up today and I'm pleasantly surprised by the finish. Will be buying more
I have the Matco version of those capri wrenches. Look identical. I bought them for dirt cheap when my matco dealer was leaving the business. I absolutely love them
I went with the BILITOOLS, used them today in conjunction with an impact to remove ground wires from an engine block stud on a Cummins ISX. I used the thin wrench to hold the stud in place as I used the impact to remove the retaining nut. No issues, and no damage to the wrench. I have both SAE and Metric, at nearly half the price of Capri Tools. They handled an impact, and the shorter length was just what the doctor ordered, as the space was very confined.
I have both of those gold set's in my home tool box. The thin ones are tougher than you'd think.
The gold member voice was perfect..it was in my mind , then you did it..😂 Thanks for the show Buddy..Henry ..
Your awesome I just picked up the Capri tools thin wrench set!

Glad you like them!
Gonna edit as I go: 1:11 Tool Definition : a device or implement, especially one held in the hand, used to carry out a particular function. Totally dislike people who buy tools; regardless of brand, and always try to use them for what they're not. Then they complain. About it (Kind of contradicts what I said earlier but. We KNOW our wrenches will break they aren't meant to be used with a 3 foot cheater bar) 7:00 I think the thin wrenches are badass when doing alignments. I've had some weird angles when doing some. Great for rear adjustments on Germans. Sometimes you get those cars that have a sensor next to the locknut or eccentric. Another good brand. Which I'm pretty sure is just a rebrand. (Who knows?) Is tekton. They got cool snazzy stuff. Quality stuff imo. Would like to see your take on those
Always great presentation and discussion... Great stuff!!!!!

CP you have The Godfather of Tool History & Restoration following and commenting on your channel. That alone speaks huge positive volumes for your channel my Brother.
I have the Capri thin wrenches too. Pretty decent. I still use cone and tappet wrenches a lot also.
The great Rationalizer......have both and they work fine.
My sae thins are a 30 plus year old set of blue points - love ‘em. My metrics are assorted wrenches I have ground thinner as I needed them lol
I vaguely remember having to set tension after replacing a seal on a rack then hold the jam that was around 27mm while I locked it down. I have some service wrenches that got it done but either way it was much easier not having to use a full size wrench. I'd still go with the capris if I had to pick one.
Got the snapon slimline set. Very nice.
I've got the Capri wrenches. I absolutely love them. Id be skeptical of the duratech model.
What up CP! I have the snap on 11 piece metric set. Cost a lung and I only use the 8 and 10 mm but I got a super crazy good deal on them!
Haven't watched the video yet, just putting this here so I don't forget. My lead tech has the duratechs 8 to 32?? And they're cool. They can take a beating. We've used 3 ft cheater bars on them. Hit them with hammers. Good quality. 👍
Yeah i have seen the Matco ones (same as Capri) and without a doubt they’re of better quality. For what I use the duratech ones for I’ve had no issues, I use the 9/16 a lot for toggle switches and the largest one in the SAE set for deutsch connectors passing through a bulkhead. They seem to work well on nuts that have a flat surface behind to support them.
Upon seeing your video and seeing how thin I am altering my decision and going with the Capri I didn’t realize they are that thin

Yes I definitely was surprised good to see you buddy always nice you are one of my og subscribers!! Much respect
I have the Capri's and their pretty good, they do have a few larger sizes of these can buy on their website.
Nice. I'm ordering some Capri's tonight. Thanks Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
A savior on link pins
Mmmmm.... maybe the Duratech would be better for bicycle hubs?? I've never needed anything thinner than my Williams thin superwrench . I've actually been looking into the Capri thin wrenches because I don't have a full set in my superwrenches. Keep up the good work CP !! Thanks again.
One thing I’d love to see is the jaws being thin width wise to fit where the nut or bolt is close to a hard object and the wrench won’t fit in
I just bought a set of ultra thin spanners I got them really cheap from 1 of the cheaper tool vans here in the uk 🇬🇧. I'd been threatening to buy them for a few years I was fed up shaving and grinding down old ones😂
I love workpros quick change utility knife, they come in a 3 pack but somehow I had to buy another 3 pack.
I put them gold wrenches in my last video, they look good but not tried them yet.. Great video

I missed that bubba I apologize
I haven’t really needed them much, but I was considering getting the Capri thin wrenches. Those Duratec look like they’d snap on me if I put more than 12 ft lbs on em. I’ll you try em out first.
those look good for sway bar links and brake caliper pins

It's definitely great for that!!
I needed a 30mm thin wrench on a crown forklift ended up cutting it out of 3/16 steel. Of course it was just for holding.
Wow, that’s really thin. My largest Snap On thin wrench is a 15mm and it is 3.9mm thick, er, I mean thin.
These would be great for Bicycle repair. Similar to Park Tool cone wrenches in thickness.

Makes sense great comment see this is why we need more people that use tools from all walks of life involved thank you!!
I have lots of tools from duratech that's lives in my suv for roadside emergencies
back in to 70s, SK tools had tool trucks. Maybe they still do somewhere.

I'm not sure that's a good question
I use my duratech for castors and levelling white goods
Vim now has the larger sizes available
I got the ares, less expensive and look identical to the Capri. Ares has lifetime warranty too.
Ha first to comment cp! I’m going to get some of the duratech for my Volvo.
Im first I got a set of Capri in metric I might get the duratech in sae
I am weary of stuff made in China and have a little more confidence in stuff made in Taiwan. With that in mind the Capri seem to be the better deal hear.
Here is where I'd give em a try. I have a very small coolant leak @ one of the rear water pump bolts on my sbf. Pesky little turd needs a snug. I think the 3mm thickness would work.
@CPthetooladdict

That would definitely be a great opportunity
CP i have decided to buy a small set of metric ratcheting wrenches. (8 to 19 maybe??) NO CHYNAH but Taiwan ok....Please let me know which ones i should buy. Thank you Larry

It's called a thin wrench. That's how they are supposed to look, understanding how thin you can make tool steel is something a lot of people don't understand.
