Very good collection of the Little Mermaid dolls 💚💜

I have an older Vanessa I thrifted (her skin is ourple!) and I almost want to get this gift set so I can have another to play with and rebody. I noticed that the new Vanessa and mine seem to have the same face paint more or less. If the set had Flotsam and Jetsam I would definitely try to get it!

1:17 *"Normally they come with two or three dolls"* Actually They used to come with *SIX* dolls per set for $79.99 like the 2012 Cinderella box set. The original 2013 Little Mermaid doll set came with *FIVE* dolls, but the King Triton doll has been replaced by a Max paperweight in this set. They included the old Ursula doll mold that was created back in 2004 by a German toy company. Sad that they didn't include the newer Ursula body mold that has wrist/elbow articulation, and real hair for the $100 point. Disney Store acquired the rights to this old German Ursula mold in 2012, but sadly Disney Store removed the wires in the tentacles which allowed the German version to pose /stand on her own. They kinda did Vanessa dirty by removing her knee, and ankle joints, and giving her flat duck feet. RIP pointed toes and pretty heels. 😞 Mermaid Ariel is the only Disney Store doll to escape the "Flat Feet curse" because the new team who implemented the flat feet in 2015 are forced to allow Mermaid Ariel to keep her pointed toes due to it being difficult to slide a mermaid tail over a doll that has flat feet. Eric's shirt, and pants used to be two separate pieces, and the pants had more of a blue jean texture to theme before they updated him to his current onesie pajama to save money.

I got this on the black Friday sale as well. I'll be honest, I got this completely because of Vanessa, I never knew I was missing her in my life until I laid eyes on her in someone else's unboxing. I love her. I had to tie that necklace down though, it does not want to stay in place.

That Ariel doll you said from 2016 was from 2012-2015, and the newest sculpt was in 2019-present, and the one with the bangs was from 2009-2011

I love Ariel’s newer face, like I have the 2019/2020 version of Ariel, it’s the same sculpt and face pain the only difference is the eye makeup and the shimmer really adds to the magic she possesses. Also Hii love the video as usual!

I just love these Disney dolls and sets. I collect all the dolls and outfit. The other little Mermaid doll set has King Triton but not the other outfits for Ariel. So I bought this set and a King Triton doll separately.

Heads up, the cape stains. But you can prevent staining by soaking the cape in water and dish soap, soak, squeeze, rinse and repeat until it stops dying the water. The last test to make sure it stops staining is leaving it in just water, soak and squeeze and if the water is still clear you're all good. Also Vanessa does indeed have cheaper nylon compared to Ariel, Ariel always have the softest nylon hair compared to everyone else. The old Ariel Doll you have is from 2013-15 then they changed the paint application to 2015-2018 or so. Fun fact: Vanessa uses the 2015 Ariel face first before Ariel used it when she was first released in the original gift set.

NOT So FUN FACT: Vanessa now has those horrible flat feet the new team in charge of the Disney Store dolls insist on pushing on us for some reason. RIP pretty pointed toes and heels 😞

I wonder who will play Vanessa in the live action little Mermaid

I love Vanessa and I wish she got more dolls.

I wonder if they will release a stand alone Vanessa once the live action comes out.

Are you planning to get the Aladdin set?? Jasmine comes with her red and purple dresses and those dresses don't get much representations as well, even Aladdin comes with his prince Ali outfits and Raja!

I really want it. I went with Encanto instead since I don't have any Encanto dolls yet.. if it goes on sale again I'll grab the Aladdin set.. I really want those other two outfits for my Jasmine dolls.

OMG I LOVE ALL THE DOLLS SO CUTE 🌊 I like that there is other clothes for the little Mermaid In the pack!!

I loooove when we get extra outfits! So tired of the same ones all the time

Feels like male characters and villains are always given the short end of the stick when it comes to dolls, but that’s such a beautiful Vanessa, and I can’t believe they made a dog you could kill someone with.

I love this set and the review. My daughter would have so much fun. I think all the accessories and animals make it a great set for play and display. Thank you.

I personally like the slipper shoes bc they r easier to put on as opposed 2 da heels but I wish cinderella got high heels (idk if she does ive never owned a disney store cinderella)

i need vanessa!! the new face looks cute but the 2018 ariel face is the prettiest for me followed by the 2014 face. i kinda wish they improve on changing ariel's tail and the flat feet 😫

The max in this set is recycled from the Platinum wedding set so if you think about it…. youre two dolls away from owning the Platinum set 😊
