This is the Test Drive of my BL-2s powered Trx-4 Sport. Overall the BL-2s combo is a great option for trailing while still having great low-end control. If your wanting to use it for serious crawling it'll be a challenge without drag brake but it's capable. My current gearing is 11t pinion and 52t spur. This combo never got hot even after 2.5 hours of continuous driving.
This is an awesome truck for the money. I'm going on 3 years with this truck while it had it's up's and down's Pun intended it's overall my go to rig.
The biggest issue with the Trx-4 line of trucks are the servos, THEY SUCK!!!
But there's good news Traxxas has a few options and there's TONS of aftermarket support. I opted to use the parts below.
