So many people claim T2 to be their favourite but the original Terminator will always hold a special place in my heart. No children to numb the sheer violence of the machine threat. Just raw hunting of a target by an AI with one purpose. It was a masterpiece. Thank you for this. :)

Hello, David!! I fully agree with you... although I really appreciate T2, the history and atmosphere of T1 is my absolute favorite. They should have done the second Terminator a few years after the first one, keeping the fantastic initial idea and T2, it would have been a great T3. Too bad that good ideas and good taste are over with T2... good times when they used many real special effects, scale models and wise use (without exaggerating as today) of computer graphics. They're different movies at their cores, T2 is more action while T1 is almost certainly more of a real thriller of something unknown and inhuman but looks just like us hunting in plain sight. They aren't comparable in that sense; as a thriller, T1 is better but as action T2 is better but that's what they're tailored to be. Both brilliant movies undoubtedly.

It took me years to watch the first Terminator, loved the second movie as a kid but the first one terrified me. It was not till my late teens that I finally saw it, and loved it more than T2.

If T2 is the first one that you watch, you have all the reasons in the world to love it. However, I saw T1 in 1987. Later, when I first saw T2, I could not escape the feeling that it was a copy of the first one. I know that T2 is made on a much higher budget, with so much more special effects, has more action and tries to be philosophic about the human condition. But, in essence, it copies a few key aspects from T1. As for T1, it's the greatest love story of all times. It starts with humanity being close to extinction. The terminator is sent to erase its last hope. Humanity sends the best of what it has left. But with all that is at stake, Kyle Reese is motivate by love. In the end, it proves to be powerfull enough to defeat the invincible machines and save humankind.

Underrated score. Brad Fiedel hit it out of the park- a ton of tension in this song. Almost like the electronic/synth wave answer to John Williams’ Jaws.

Oh yes, a really good comparison and a unique way of composing music... one of the most spectacular soundtracks ever that gave life to the Terminator legend!!! The first one will always remain the best and for me, this movie series ends with T2!!

4:40 was such a great way to end the music, two hard notes in succession as the Terminator just starts walking slowly in the direction it's target sped off in, after destroying an entire police station. Really hammers home the methodical unstoppable horror of the machine.

Of course. Been a fan of that guy for years. But that's a T1 song played in T2 style, not a direct cover. I've told Chris that I'm using his covers for my fan edit of T2 that I'm doing to make T2 feel more like a sequel to T1. If you look me up on video (Steven Riccardo) you'll see some unfinished clips I've made where I take his covers and use them over certain scenes in the film.

This is the scene that made you realise how unstoppable the Terminator really was. Just walks right into a station crawling with cops armed to the teeth without a single f*** given. My favourite move to this day.

This is incredible! The Terminator has been my favourite movie of all time since i saw it as a kid in the late 80’s! The movie itself is out of this world and still stands strong today in my opinion, but the reason the movie was so far ahead of its time and had such dark energy was the score by Brad Fiedel! Terminator wouldn’t be anything without his music! From 4:04 ish in this video onwards was always my favourite when Reese finds sarah and they get the F out of there!

Every time I return to your cover videos of The Terminator, I'm reminded why the movie had such a psychological impact on me as a kid. The music is a key factor and it's perfectly haunting. The terror and impending doom it conveys throughout the entire film, even during the intimate moments, was something you just couldn't get away from. Just like the T-800!! It's true!!! In fact, in the OST track there is the version that Brad Fiedel created with the melody of the main theme played with the French Horn. The choice not to add it was perfect!!! To make this cover, I was inspired by the track of the movie scene where you only hear the magnificent synth sequence (otherwise it wouldn't have been "scary and robotic" enough, in my opinion, with the main theme played together).

I've seen The Terminator around 50 times over the course of my life and I could imagine each scene playing as the music unfolds. Hearing it without the sound effects covering it really elevates the tension that should've been present in the final cut of the film (if that makes any sense). Intense! I don't think the front desk cop survived to give anyone the description of his accent....He didn't say a word after that just killed and fatally wounded the officers. They would have to go by camera footage that's if they had any seeing as the Terminator destroyed the power supply......

Damn that run at 4:04 you did by hand... I had to sequence that bad boy bc wel... I stink at keys. You nailed this one! Did you learn learn just by ear? I had to slow the tape down to get the right notes. Tedious but well worth it.

:D :D Hahaha in fact, is very fast... it took me about three days to learn this sequence! Oh yes, all the covers I make are created only by ear (I can't read the sheet music). I listened to the movie version of this song many times to try to make the right notes. I am very pleased that you enjoyed it and that the slow video was useful for playing it. This is Awesome. The Police Station chase scene is one of the best scenes in movie history. The legendary (I'll be back ) catchphrase was bore out of this scene. The way the Terminator Just tears through the place in like 4 minutes is great. The cops yelling terrorist in fear only to find out it's something much worse that can't be killed by conventional weapons makes it so intense and terrifying. Watching it track and shoot down a moving target through a wall with ease is probably the best part. Well that and him crashing through the lobby and kicking open the passenger and emerging with two big ass guns.

The effort you put in, not only to recreating the sound but the graphics to go along with the video is staggering. If there were Oscars for KZread videos, you would win one!

I grew up too with these fantastic films (Rambo, Rocky, Terminator, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Beverly Hills Cop, Police Academy, Das Boot, Jurassic Park etc.) are films that you never get tired of watching them... real masterpieces!!! They had character, superb music and incredible special effects (considering the era in which they were made). I am very pleased to meet other enthusiasts like me of these timeless myths! I congratulate you for your great taste!!! :) To create my covers, I use the CS1x and some VST. These are the ones I use most frequently: TAL-U-NO-LX (which simulates the Roland Juno 60), the Korg Mono / Poly, the free Dexed (which simulates the DX7) and the free TAL-Noise Maker :) :) :)

This is fantastic! I can't get my head around how you made this red Terminator HUD. Couldn't find any green screen with it. :)

Hey there. I honestly think that only you and another Russian who played songs from Terminator and is also using a synthesizer, leading the channel called "Hugo" best reflected the atmosphere of these songs. However, yours are even better because editing, disguise and visual effects are like watching a movie again. A true Terminator fan cover. If someone told me is this a Brad Fiedel's original song or cover, I couldn't answer clearly. So great job. As a new fan I'll be waiting for "Reese dreams of future war".

Absolutely yes!!!! T1 is and remains the best for its perfect atmosphere of everything. T2 I like even if it no longer has the soul of the first... but it still remains a masterpiece in comparison to all the ugly sequels that have completely crippled the true nature of Terminator (in fact the only ones I have in my video library are the first and the second movie). Brad Fiedel's music gave birth to these films... what an incredible gems he created!!!

I am loving these videos! The creations of these videos is so clever and entertaining. The music score is absolutely perfectly executed! You have really done this movie and it’s sound track such a service and an incredible tribute! I can’t imagine anything better. This, to me, is true, visual art along with the art of playing the music. These videos were done with loyalty and a high standard of quality and that’s why I and many others enjoy not only listening but your whole interpretation of the visual. Pure excellence! Thank you!
