Though the new, learning algorithm has *nothing* to do with intelligence, the circle is not complete. The question is when or why an electronic "brain" gains self-conciousness. If you are educated and experienced, you soon see the limits of algorithms. It is a farce to call it "A.I.". And it is ridoculous, for there can come Hinz und Kunz aus aller Herren Länder to make the same. I thought it was made by humans. For this is made by an algorithm, it is werthless. You can make the world and space, please, do us a favour and leave this bullshit out. Thank you!

Inquiry: The Terminator is working through the phone directory,. eliminating everyone named Sarah Connor. How does it know it's got the right one.when it decides to pursue this particular one ? Why doesn't it spend some of its time tracking down the others ?

​@@quantisedspace7047 It probably figured that Kyle Reese was a soldier from the future, in that he knew how to fight it, and probably assumed she must've been the right Sarah if a soldier from the future was protecting her!!!! The novelisation talked about the terminator slicing open the calf of each dead Sarah with an x-acto knife to check for an injury or wound to confirm it was her, but Kyle Reese stated at the police station that she didn't yet have that wound, meaning that the terminator essentially had a never ending mission ahead of it, since it would've assumed the right Sarah was the wrong one when she didn't have the injury, meaning that it probably would've went from state to state, and maybe even country to country eliminating every Sarah Connor it could find once it eliminated the right one!!!

@@quantisedspace7047 if you watch the scene where the 800 is looking in the phone book, there are three Sarah Conners listed. he killed the first two which is why the detectives say "great, a one-day pattern killer". that's how the terminator knows she is the last and therefore correct one. the T-800 probabably has some kind of "process-of-elimination processing unit", idk. 🤷‍♂

The Cameron Terminator design would be way too scary for 1950s matinee kids

I don't know about the 50s but in the 60s the trailer for Charlton Hestons' 'Omega Man' pretty much damn well did

Hell yeah. Studios like Asylum could do a great job given their record of low budget, leave your brain at the door movies that are actually fun to watch, get suprisingly big names in them and tell better stories.

In some scenes Kyle looks a lot like Bill Paxton :s I can imagine him whining through the entire movie "It's game over Sarah, game over", "How can it cut the power ? It's a machine !"... and at the end he hides while Sarah destroys the Terminator.. "Hey Sarah, have you even been mistaken for a man? "-"No, how about you?"

Так Терминатор: Генезис уже есть. Хоть и выпущен в 2015-м году, но всё же. Там показали T-800 из первой части Терминатора и сражается с пожилым T-800.

I was working on an AI story with images and a soundtrack that I wrote. The AI struggled to render the same person twice. I had to constantly remind the AI what the person looked like. It was maddening.
