@@lindataylor5704 it was actually from the temptations movie. That Paul left his girlfriend's house and killed himself afterwards. But others have been saying he was murdered.

All of The Temptations were amazing. But my favorite Temptation will always be David Ruffin. Ruff"s voice was just amazing and it touches your heart in a big way. Anything David sung came from his heart and soul. ❤️❤️❤️💙💙💙

Melvin was a BASS, not a baritone. I only mention this because he is arguably the GREATEST bass singer of all time.

Melvin’s voice still gives me goosebumps !! His sweet, gentle, caring disposition did not match his strong majestic voice. I wish I had known this talented gentle soul.

The Temptations are, were, & WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY OPINION THE GREATEST ARTISTS IN THE HISTORY OF POPULAR MUSIC! Not just Soul artists like those with limited / no knowledge of popular music tend to classify them as! My Oldest Child / I were lucky enough to have the chance to not only meet , but to also eat with them backstage prior to their concert in my old hometown of Greeneville Tennessee in 2015.AN EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER FORGET!

Correction: David did not die before being fired from the band as quoted in this video. He died well after he was out of the band and after a few fairly successful solo releases.

The Temptation will long live on in the hearts 💕 of all their fans the 60s 70s 80s 90s they gave so much love with there vocals that blended together that made the sounds that we listen to this day live on my bothers you will never be forgotten

Paul was my favorite because as I learn more about him he was so passionate and you can feel he's pain every time he sings

Ali Ollie Woodson was Awesome, everyone of Temptations was Awesome!

Much love to all of the Temptations. They were awesome. Their music still lives on in our hearts. Loved me some Paul Williams….For Once In My life.

I went to see Dave Ruffin, Dennis Edwards and Eddie Kendricks when they did a tour together in the UK. Sitting there looking at my idols all together singing was an incredible thing to happen in my life. It was a massive WOW!!!!!! moment. 😁

The temptations were definitely one-of-a-kind!

David ruffin was one of the (if not best lead vocalist) of the band at the time . He could definitely belt out the lyrics. It’s a shame his big ego and his drug addiction took him down. I believe if he didn’t have both of those vices he would have taken this band further than they went. Rip David ruffin and all the members that passed most so young.

My dad told me stories growing up when he was a bus boy at the ‘twin coaches’ in Pennsylvania back in the 60’s when the Temptations were touring with the Supremes and all the other Motown groups that one of the temptations (I can’t remember which one) gave my dad $20 to take my mom out and gave them front row seats to the show. Dad passed 2 years ago and mom 21 years ago. He also said he had to go back into the dressing rooms one time and seen Diana Ross with a bra on, she was rushing to get dressed and didn’t even care. There was more stories but I forgot them and can’t ask him now but he said it was a great time for Motown and all those groups

Ricky Owen lasted about 2 days before Otis told him to sling his hook & do one ,that’s how good he wasn’t 😎

I remember Eddie had 1 lung removed and like a month later went to the middle east to tour with David and Dennis..He never should have done that. Eddie smoked 2 packs a day and hid it well from others..Also Melvin was Rick James uncle and why on Super Freak there is a quick clip of the temps..and Dennis was engaged to the Queen of Soul Aretha but was intimidated of her, well success..lol I never liked on the TV movie the Temps that they were not clear that Paul had sickle cell and why he was always drinking rather making him look more like a drunk.. :-(

After Dennis Edward left , this group was just the Temptations by name only. I couldn't tell you one song after that.

They died way too young!!! If only we could go back and give them all the love and support that they needed to get through such a grueling schedule.

Ricky Owens replaced Eddie Kendricks and soon would be replaced by Damon Harris.

This information is not 100% correct,,, Otis is still alive,,,,Temptations and Manhattans were in South Africa in 1996 on Felicia Mabuza Suttle Show and Dennis Edwards and Ali Woodson were there.

I am going to stop looking at these sights that do not have enough Respect for our culture that they can not spend time to go to our sources to find out the truth. The pictures are wrong, they leave out singers, and they don’t even know whether a singer is a tenor or a bass which means to me they are not really a true fan. They are just wasting our time and doing this for likes. If so much is wrong in one video why would I look at any other video.
