Thank you for sharing this cultural treasure and this Haute Couture knowledge. I really hope that this awesome technique will still be used for many generations!
that was highly educational and easy to understand, thank you! I had read things that mentioned you dyeing but couldn't really picture it, but now I understand it well

Thank you, a video like this wasnt easy to find
Wow! I'm so happy I paint on silk the seemingly easier way. I do use the harite and shinshi at times, but the way I paint on silk, is quicker to the act of painting! Your piece is beautiful! Thank you so very much for generously sharing your beautiful art with all of us!
How beautiful. Thank you for continuing this art and for filming it for us to see. 🦋

Thank you!🙂
I hope he gets the money it’s worth with all those working hours
Maravilloso trabajo.
Wonderful! thanks
How did they used the seaweed to prime the fabric? It went straight to applying the madder dye background.
Is fixative (mordant) still used after painting details?
How is the actual dye made? What is he using as his mordant?
How are his lines so clean? He shakes more than I do and my lines look shaky but his don't.
Similar to batik dying.
