Well duh can't you see all the blood that's in a transmission
I don’t know a thing about transmissions, but was amazed watching this by how easy he made it look!
I'm addicted to the sound of metal and tools and plastics and everything all clinking together!!
Love watching a pro taking something apart. 20 minutes and the whole thing was apart. Always wanted to see that. Great job!
just found this channel i fell in love already if more mechanics were like this i would mind paying extra cause i know its quality service
Random Aussie Chiming in here, we got told 2048 is when they want to go emissions free. I enjoyed the tear down and learnt a lot. Thanks for sharing
Now thats a master Mechanic , someone that has the skill and the knowledge to do a work that only a few people can do with such pride and precision .
Great professionalism gentlemen, 1 in 10,000!

@@matt8863 I do. But how funny would it be to call them out?
There's something immensely satisfying watching someone do something technical who is extremely skilled in what they do.
Richard,I'm 70 and was fascinated at the video. I had an '89 New Yorker and had to repair the Transmission twice! (Orlando, FL area) How you guys can remember how to put that thing back together is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks for the insight and review. Made my day!
When I need transmission work, I hope I find a shop just like yours! I watched this come apart but darned if I could put that thing together again. A video explaining the part and how it works would be great. Auto transmissions are like black magic to me.
Just do a time laps build to start with. Stick a Go Pro up over the bench and just go at it.
I marvel at his ability to take a trans apart....but to put that puzzle back together. My hats off to you sir.
God bless honest mechanics for keeping people on the road. I thought I was mechanically inclined until I watched this video. Transmission work is a hell of a skill.
Omg my brain is exploding with him just keep taking things apart.
I feel proud when I change the plugs on my V8 but this guy just disassembled 200 pieces in half hour explaining each one and did this flawlessly. Incredible and amazing. Plus the guy recording knew his stuff as well. First transmission disassemble video Ive seen and I’m glad it was this one.
It's truly a pleasure to watch a master of their craft like yourself work clearly with a passion and pride in their work.
Man these videos relax me .Some people play slots on there phone some watch those pimple poppin videos etc etc .I watch you guys take apart transmissions.
When a builder states that the transmission is [built].... He is referring that most parts are included and the bolts are tight.

Me: "Oooh, a round thing......another round thing....some round things......more round things......".
Took my pedal bike apart year's ago, never could put it back together......I needed this guy living next-door 🚪 😀👍
Richard is in such demand that he's working Sundays. This man has a gift. It's God given. They don't teach you this stuff in trades school
Man this guy amazes me every time he stripes one of these down
In Phoenix ,AZ you can get those 4l60e rebuilt for $500.00 with the converter included. The one you had on your bench must be one of them! lol

$500 comes close to covering the R&R at a reputable shop. Guessing the “rebuild” is a pressure washer, silver rattle can paint, and a pint of Lucas tranny syrup down the dipstick.

Major props to you guys. You're showing whats going on and how people are getting ripped off. Sad to say I've had friends fall victim to the same garbage. Makes people think twice about so call pros that rip people off.
I’d trust any mechanic if he so openly displayed his knowledge of his craft openly on KZread for all the world to see.
I can hear the doors closing on the other ship now. What a difference y guys are there in Texas.
"My beloved wife", smart man dont pee off the wife, wifes always right even whens shes wrong, happy wife stress free life
Wow I have no idea what I’m watching but I know skill when I see it. You’re so efficient but still so very careful. You know exactly where everything is it’s like second nature. Amazing
I've worked as a machine builder/restorer and we relied on taking very many photos of the strip down phase. This is on a completely different level, much respect.
This was satisfying af to watch you work so professionally! Good stuff 🔥
You are honestly the best I have ever seen trans man 🤘👏👏
Looks like this guy has done a few of these before....great presentation, all the right tool at hand.....knows exactly which socket to use...where to grab to remove the parts...well done
It’s great that you guys are out there to do the right thing for people thank you for sharing guys.
