I don’t know Bill, are you trying for the next “Man of the Year” award by giving Sierra the job of powering your new craft? Anyway, have a blast and enjoy yourselves.
major kudos to all those talented shipwrights that put so much effort and hours into this build...looks beautiful!!

Why is Sierra cycling? What does it do?
@hungliketictacs

@@danwaldie4661 google "mirage drive". It's basically flippers under the water that are powered by cycling
Instead of those ready-to-eat meals, I like packing Ramen, packets of cooked chicken or tuna(flavored tuna) and dehydrated veggies like peppers and onions. You can even dehydrate hamburger. And spend a little extra and get a Jet Boil. The boat is a work of art. Well done!
Just go out and DO IT! Go fast, turn left, enjoy life!
You Two are CRAZY, and I love it! Jetty seemed happier up front with Billy. I agree with Dean S, the middle compartment is the "Jetty Well" !!! Great Build! Stay Safe you two!!!
Beautiful vessel! I think the middle compartment should be called the "Jetty Well"! 😀
Seeing the maiden sail, a wave breaker in front of the first cockpit would help in keeping that cockpit dry. or something like those kayak skirts.
Old dogs 🐕 never die , they just get repuposed 🐶 ! Happy birthday Jetty 🎂
It looks Jetty approved!
Very cool, You should redo the plug with glass or acrylic bottom to serve as a looking glass. Like a glass bottom plug to view the depths. Super cool boat tho...happy sailing.
Congratulations on Jetty turning ten so happy that you guys rescued her she is such an amazing girl.
ahhh Jetty looked soooo happy in her new boat!! She made my heart smile!! 🐾🦴💙🌊🐬

great job on buiding this amazing BEAUTIFUL boat!! 💙🐬 Hope you see many dolphine & Manatee on your paddle/sale journey.
If you get tired of the foam plug, you can use the same technique to make a cup shaped plug out of fiberglass. Just lay 2 or 3 layers of fiberglass into the waxed well. No matter what, if the plug is not watertight, water will fill the well up to the waterline, but a small leak can be pumped out.
I love that Jetty found his way into driver's seat! She's a beautiful vessel, all the best. Living in Annapolis it was all I could do not to come harass you at the shop ; )
Love watching you 2 irresponsible, mad, crazy dudes. You were flying along and smiling just as much. If I could do what you do, I would . Enjoy your 3oo miles. Keep safe 🙏
You are an amazing couple. Both of you are talented, fearless, intelligent, fearless and adventurous. I respect and admire y'all.....God bless y'all and can't wait to see the new CAT.
That little boat scoots! Excited to see your adventure race in it. Jetty is 10? She looks like a lot younger pup! Such a beautiful craft you guys have built❤
Congratulations! Getting twelfth against Hobie Cats is not bad against catamarans with huge mains, jibs, and some flying spinnakers. 😉
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNY !!
Awwwwwwwww HAppy birthday pupper!!!!!!!
to plug the hole I would use some plywood almost the length of the hole and put an inner tube of a wheelburrrow around it. use a small hand pump to inflate when in the hole and you will have a perfect water tide plug. Beautiful boat you have build.
This reminds me of why I love your channel….true adventure at its finest! Good work and tons of fun!
Why not a bladder water storage in the hold? Fill it up in place, pump it out. The boat looks amazing!
Great small multipurpose craft. I grew up on a lake and this would have been a lot of fun. Cross between a kayak, canoe, and sunfish! Great job! Love it!😍
'Tool Dip' is a rubberish coating that may work for a more water tight fit. Good foam work!
I was literally just thinking I need to make plugs for my Hobie Tandem Island since I lost my last one in the Gulf of Mexico. What luck to see you fixing the same problem and going through the trials and errors of DIY. This will give me a head start for my project. Thanks a LOT.
So glad to see you back in my beloved Florida.
That looks like it could store even more camping gear. Looks exciting, because its so fast!.
G day champ’s Amazing work 👌👌 Very amazing boat, seems to sail, paddle and peddle exceptionally well. Thanks for all your content. Aussie Boat Guy 😎
I think you should consider adding a second Hobbidrive legs will outlast shoulders and those drive units just work.
Happy birthday Jetty 🎂 When the foam is expanding, you can slightly stir it, it will reduce the expansion...
Billy don't feel like the lone ranger. We hit one in a race doing 6 knots, and broke a spreader.
Can’t wait for the race! Why not make up a sleep platform which can be switched from side to side and there would be no need to camp? Take turns sleeping! What would two paddle units do for speed, what about trying a kite??? SkipRay.
Try and engineer a two piece plastic plug with a rubber seal, one piece would be placed from the bottom under the boat and the second piece would come in from the top and should screw together creating a strong tight seal../ Made out of a solid material not foam
The pacific islands would be very proud of you! What you did with the trawler was amazing. Now this! You guys are quite an extraordinary couple!

Thank you Marc❤️ we appreciate you watching and your support!!! We make a great team 🥰
Good luck in the race. Boats so beautiful. Nice job.
That looks like a good boat to fly kite surf kites from! You'd scoot!
You two rock. My hats off to all that had a hand in creating that sweet ride. Best wishes and safe travels on the race. Happy Birthday Jetty.
I'm sure your race is long over. When I began running 5ks years ago I quickly realized that a lot of these people had been doing it for years. You get my drift. But, y'all have a good boat and crew. Good luck in all you attempt.
Beautiful boat/canoe! And ruter operator, you guys are awesome!
Happy Birthday Jetty.🎉 Great job she is beautiful, looks like so much fun.
One beautiful craft …😮
Good thing you used Alexseal, as it' repairable. Kudos on the canoe
2:31 cameraman knew what he was doing
She looks BEAUTIFUL! I don't remember if you mentioned a name?! The race sounds like such fun. Maybe I could get my mom out on the water again with outriggers on my paddleboard..hmmm..& the back support.
I am very impressed with the design. Looks so fun. Seems like you might want some kayak covers for the hatches as you catch some waves or you could spend a lot of time bailing, but that is just my imagination. Looking forward to the race videos. 👍👍👍👏👏👏
I think what you wanted to use was mold release wax. It's not the same as PVA at all. PVA is usually removed with water. Water dissolves it. It's not made to peel off, even if that happens when you pull it. (PVA is mainly used to put on top of gelcoat without wax, in order to cure the top layer. It removes the access for air, hence curing the gelcoat.).
Adventure is out there.
Good work! Congratulations.
Happy birthday, Jetty. We all love you. ❤
What a beautiful craft , great job guys awesome as always . Happy birthday jetty. 🎉⛵️🐕🍻
This was such a good series! Really enjoyed watching yall make this boat
Bravo Zulu on all that. Best for the race 😊
Check out the video of mirage drive vs Olympic paddler. Mirage drive is way more efficient. You probably should recess the drive up into the hull and make the drive wells taller so you don’t flood the boat. Or just raise the entire floor up above the waterline. I would recommend upgrading to a newer mirage drive with kick up fins and reverse! Those older ones are easy to damage in shallow water. And a second mirage drive would be a big improvement also. Or just buy a tandem island… Good first try at building a boat like this though!
You did a beautiful job on this project.
As a fellow Juperterian, I love the boat, and your show is awesome.
She’s very pretty, versatile, and fun! Congratulations. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Great to see you being on the water having fun! ⛵️🌊😄
Loving this Guys
What a sweet sailing boat! That thing rips!
I am oddly excited for this adventure. Fair winds
Wow that looks cool! 👍😎
First crab pots, now channel markers, maybe you should let Sierra drive.
Very best of luck on your 300 mile trip.x
Here in Texas there is a race called Texas Water Safari that is similar to what you guys are going to do but its down a river sailing wouldnt be an option, it is mainly done in canoes and kayaks I believe
Awesome build, I’m a paddler from Hawaii and have a few types of wa’a. Awesome job on your wa’a. Mahalos for sharing your journey.🤙🏾
Oh my goodness happy birthday Jetty! What a wonderful thing you all are doing!
Wowserilla!
Y’all might need a little outrigger trailer with a pole hitch for your new outrigger canoe!
Such a great adventure you two found to share with us. This should be fun. Do good, be safe.
Oh yeah, I forgot, what about kayak style cockpit covers and main hatch cover for rough water?
Been a minute since some epic Sierra footy ❤
That trip is going to be crazy fun.
You two always kill it ! Good luck with your race
It’s awesome! Have a great time guys, stay safe!
Nice boat looks like fun. Good luck with race.
Looks like a museum piece!
Ahh to be young and...............have fun! 😍
Remember to raise the saildrive before beaching!
Awesome Canoe, superb craftsmanship and great vibes 💫 congratulations 🎉 Looking forward for the plans of this beauty. I do live in Brazil, so would not be possible to buy the whole Kit, but the Plans would be Great 😊
POLE, Pedal, Paddle and win the upcoming race. Beautiful boat.
Happy birthday jetty girl!!! ❤❤❤
Awesome video guys! The boat is so nice. Good luck in the race!!! See y'all next time.
I like the trampoline additions a lot. Are you leaving jetty back home for the race?
Excellent!
So very proud of you, y’all are one of the most adventurous couples I’ve seen.I love y’all’s videos,be careful and safe out there in the (H2O) Can’t wait to see Moore!
Congratulations! Hope to see you at small boat meet Cedar Key in May.
Happy Birthday Jenny and awesome boat!
Good Luck!
Train hard, train smart, gooooo faaaast...Smooth seas crew!!!
You two are going to have so much fun on the adventure.
Your boat seem really capable of fulfilling the challenge BTW I always heard there are two kinds of sailors those that get seasick and those that lie about it.
I was just at your launch point with the kids yesterday. Didn’t realize you guys were from Jupiter.
You too are awesome!! Good luck
So much fun. Wish I would have known. I would have gone to see you go by. Looks like you came in like 12th in class 5. Good job.
ok....ya got me watchin this vid
Gorgeous!
Awesome work guys! Love your stuff
I thought, when you were building, that this would be a great E.C. Boat.
That’s one beautiful boat! Love the adaptions you’re making as you go. Boat camping is fun!! I’ve done it with my kayak, but on a big lake. Can’t wait to see how your competition goes.
You can buy a plastic cassette, as Hobie calls it, from a Hobie dealer that will fit that drive well. FYI.
