    Team Clewis This theory is actully not mine, but from Tumblr. There is also one saying Dumbledore is deaty, look it up, it's really interesting.

    +Team Clewis There have been some speculations that the three brothers correspond to Harry Potter, Severus Snape, and Lord Voldemort, with Harry corresponding to Ignotus (who lives to an old age), Severus corresponding to Cadmus (whose loved one dies), and Lord Voldemort corresponding to Antioch (power hungry). This also corresponds with the order of the ages of the brothers. An extension of this theory suggests that Albus Dumbledore corresponds to Death, the figure that all three brothers meet on their journey. When a user on Twitter asked J.K. Rowling what her favourite fan theory was, she responded with this one saying, "It's a beautiful theory and it fits." Alternatively it can be argued that Dumbledore is the third brother since he both greeted death voluntarily and handed the cloak to Harry as the story states that the 'father' gave the cloak to his 'son'. Father here being Dumbledore and Son being Harry. Another possible interpretation may be that the role of Snape as Cadmus is replaced by Albus Dumbledore, whose death was caused by attempting to use the Stone, especially since ultimately it was his choice to end his life. So Dumbledore is Death, the second and third brother, AND also has the Elder wand.

    that scene was the LAST thing I was expecting when I sat on the couch of a movie theater. I mean, OH MY GOD! when I was reading the book, I imagined what Hermione was reading, as for the movie, I expected either her pure narrative with the camera going here and there or actors doing the scene. but them came this Tim Burton-esque animation that left me gawking. And actualy imagining the director wandering the studios imagining how to do this scene, walks by Tim Burton going on an opposite direction and simply pulls him by the collar saying "oooh, hang on, Tim, I got something special to ask ya".

    +MrKlausbaudelaire So do you know that this is definitely stop motion then? I've always wondered as the effects put over, like the slow moving cape, the paper looking background and the lighting make me wonder if it was shot with stop motion puppets and then had the effects added in layers to the footage afterwards, or if it was mostly constructed in a 3D modeling program with just lighting and slight effects added after. What do you think?

  • @MrKlausbaudelaire

    @MrKlausbaudelaire

    Catherine Buckley definitely 3D, stop motion taks too much time and resources to make this kind of flowing perfection, like, YEARS. Besides, You can find on internet the 3D models of the character :)

    Tell me about it, I'm at Uni learning to do it! :D Cool thought so, but it is interesting that they've made such good resemblance in the puppets for the Diagon Ally show in Orlando. Sweet, I'll have to have a look, because it may require less resources and less time in filming, but to rig characters to more like that on a 3D program must be insane. Making a ball bounce realistically is hard enough. :)

    The third brother had no doubt earned Death’s respect, not having squandered his gift like his brothers did. It’s a testament to how humble the third brother was when he passed the cloak to his son and went with Death willingly.

  • @WTFudgeFTW
    @WTFudgeFTW12 жыл бұрын

    I think that when it says that he didn't take of the cloak for the rest of his life and then passed it on to his son that it's not supposed to be taken literally. The cloak of invisibility was a very wise choice for the third brother and showed us just what a special person he is, smart, humble, not power hungry, all sorts of things. Maybe by saying that he didn't take of the cloak it's meant that he never changed and remained himself.

    The Tale of The Three Brothers (Transcrição) 1 - There were once three brothers who were traveling along a lonely winding road at twilight. In time, the brothers reached a river too treacherous to pass. But being learned in the magical arts, the three brothers simply waved their wands, and made a bridge. Before they could cross however, they found their path blocked by a hooded figure. 2 - It was Death, and he felt cheated. Cheated because travelers would normally drown in the river, but death was cunning. He pretended to congratulate the three brothers on their magic, and said that each had earned a prize for having been clever enough to evade him. 3 - The oldest asked for a wand more powerful than any in existence, so Death fashioned him one from an elder tree that stood nearby. The second brother decided he wanted to humiliate Death even further and asked for the power to recall loved ones from the grave, so Death plucked a stone from the river and offered it to him. 4 - Finally, Death turned to the third brother. A humble man, he asked for something that would allow him to go forth from that place without being followed by Death, and so it was that Death reluctantly handed over his own cloak of invisibility. 5 - The first brother traveled to a distant village where with the elder wand in hand, he killed a wizard with whom he had once quarreled. Drunk with the power that the elder wand had given him, he bragged to his invincibility. But that night, another wizard stole the wand and slit the brother’s throat for good measure, and so Death took the first brother for his own. 6 - The second brother journeyed to his home where he took the stone and turned it thrice in hand. To his delight, the girl he had once hoped to marry before her untimely death appeared before him. Yet soon she turned sad, and cold for she did not belong in the mortal world. Driven mad with hopeless longing, the second brother killed himself so as to join her, and so Death took the second brother. 7 - As for the third brother, Death searched for many years but was never able to find him, only when he attained a great age did the youngest brother shed the cloak of invisibility and give it to his son. He then greeted Death as an old friend and went with him gladly, departing this life, as equals.

    Ignotus Peverell (The thrid brother) is Harry's ancestor, the cloak was passed down through generations up to James Potter. Albus Dumbledore wanted to examine the cloak so he asked James to give it to him, James did so but when James and Lily were killed by Voldemort Albus was left with it. On Harry's first christmas at Hogwarts Albus Dumbledore gave it to him annonymously saying "Use it well"

    I actualy imagine the director wandering the studios thinking how to do this scene, when Burton walks by going to the other direction, and he just grabs Burton by the collar and says "ooh, wait a min, Tim, I got something very special to ask ya..."
