The creation of hobbiton is actually quite amazing. As a perosn who watched all the movies, you see all these amazing places like Hobbiton, and you dream that they were real. But, in most cases they are not. Just learning that Hobbiton actually exist is an amazing feeling that is very hard to describe.

that's funny but you want to hear something really funny? in tennessee was found hobbit sized people. the legend is they are behind the story of the stork - as children, they would be under the radar like a hair to a hawk, to very big birds that would take off with them. the lord of the rings and even star wars is more real than we realize.

It’s beautiful to be a part of a cast that produced these films. That would be such an honor. Can’t help but get the sense that everyone has read the books and they all have the same idea of how it’s supposed to look and seeing them all meticulously working so hard to really bring these books to life... it’s magic. This is what makes humans unique.

I remember myself watching this vlog in 2011. It gave me an impression of almost been a part of this fantastic crew, creating the comming masterpiece. Seen the joy and botherings of returning to so beloved story was amazing! Suddenly had an idea to contact and really try to join, whatever the help I could provide. But we were just planning to become parents with my wife at that time... so put away that idea) Now we are experiencing the second war against russia since that time. Already twice lost all we had but were still lucky to stay alive. Now I am separated with my family, girls are safe far away abroad. And I can take a rest for a short while here at war. Watching this vlog is surprisingly bringing back the warm feelilngs of going back home. Back home to this movie and to my home, even in good memories. That is why would like to say THANK YOU, Sir and team! For the great story on the screen and great memories.

The passion for the landscape really shined throughout the movies and helped making it feel massive and real.. The logistics involved are almost like moving small armies which requires great coordination and the people involved can be surely proud of themselves even if their work is invisible (or only indirectly visible) on screen.. Being part of the process as an actor or backstage employee must have been an adventure on itself.. These diary videos are great, thanks!!

We were lucky enough to tour Hobbiton 2018, I recommend making your reservation to eat at the Green Dragon restaurant at least 6 months prior. Now that in itself was amazing, the food, the display of the food, and each of us guest had fun singing, quoting our favorite parts, and I still have me on video reenacting the part where Bilbo shouts about going on his adventure, same spot too! The Hobbiton was the best experience and memory for us, hubby and youngest daughter. We did the latest tour, so we could walk through as the sun fell and all the lamps flickered their lights; absolutely magical! They also have a gift shop outside the Hobbiton, while awaiting your turn to ride the bus down, there at shop, you'll find all kinds of items you "must have". They now have the gift shop online too, so if you can't make the long flight to New Zealand, you just order and bring Hobbiton to your doorstep.
