funny thing, when i watched this video 2 years ago. i kept my eyes peeled for ANY i-dog objects. my school had 1 idog fast-food-chain toy that they displayed in a halloween scene, because it was orange.. and then a few months later somebody was having a garage sale. and i found one of the plush speakers! i dropped all my money and got it. i named them blossom, because it's a pink one! ( pink one at 16:42 ) thank you, Clue. for opening my eyes to something that i would probably have brushed off as a random object!

I know this has been commented but I cannot stress enough that if Hasbro revived idogs as a Bluetooth speaker people would go bananas over them. Even if someone didnt know what it was, a lot of people just like rainbow glowing speakers in general. (Also BT ipups would be very cute)

I remember my first encounter with Idogs in 2017 or 2018. I found two of them at a flea market, one was a normal blue one and the other was a white Dance. I named the Dance Floppy and the blue Skylar. Skylar had lots of problems, specifically with battery corrosion. I tried my hardest to get it all cleaned out but she was basically ruined. She only worked a few times, but one day she broke again and I tried to fix her, but she was gone after that. I then set her aside as parts. Floppy worked for a good while but then he started having motor problems, he had a hard time dancing and trying to stand up. Last time I had him out he worked but had a little trouble dancing. I also have a normal red one named Cherry, she works great since she was new in box. And finally, I have an I-Cy named Penny. I plan to get one of the plushies or the cat next. I’d also love to have a turtle too! Hope you enjoyed my little history about my experience with these cool toys!

Due to the same reason I ended up getting a pup in blue. It died in 2010. I also had a soft speaker later on that lived all the way until 2017 til it was killed by an actual dog

I was 18 in 2005 so I've had a LOT of i-dogs. The last one I had was the fuzzy one. I had completely forgotten about the horrific i-fish. A woman I worked with at the time had one on her desk. She LOVED the thing and it was the bane of my boss' existence. We would all try to "accidently" push it off the desk when we walked by, try to make it commit un-alive. Never worked, thing was a tank. Anyway, I moved on from that job after college, but somehow I'm sure that woman and her i-fish are still there. The fish is probably regional manager by now.

Thank you making this video. My sister and I each had an iDog and we loved them! Though I want to note a detail you missed: The iDog Pups had their own music they played built in, each color had their own music

All I wanted for my birthday in elementary school was the i-Dog. I was disappointed at first when my parents got me an i-Cy, but he eventually became one of my favorite childhood toys and memories.

Got an i-Dog Amped years ago. This made me go find where it had went to. Yellowing issue is no lie! from just the last time I saw mine the plastic is an entirely different color. Still a very cool piece of tech history! Great video!

Bro, the vid just reawake some memories from my past, Mc'Donald used to sell a version of that toy, and i had literally all of them, but when i moved from the place i used to live, to my actual house, i lost a lot of stuff that i left there. Such a shame, those toys even to this day looks amazing.

I like how you put the idogs that could not even speak in the symphony

I misread the title as 'ruined the world' and was expecting you to tear into this thing as setting a horrible precedent for iPod accessories and useless iJunk, but no, you're just having a great fucking time. I love it.

I can clearly remember that there was a i-dog available in Germany at McDonalds. It just played a random song if you boobed it’s nose.

maybe no one else remembered this or it didn’t catch on here or something, but here, at least in new england but possibly just in my state, it was very similar except it came with stickers to put on it and all it did was glow red face lights when the nose button was held

The Black iDog Dance is the one I can call mine. As a note, I wasn’t scared of it as a kid, though when home alone after finding it as an adult and forgetting it was turned on the ambient sounds it would make did freak me out before I found out where they were coming from.

I had a black i-Dog, too. His name was Izzy.

i had an idog pup. pretty much every feature it had was broken, so all it could do was bark.

just have to say, loved the video, and definitely an interesting choice of music I was definitely a bit confused to hear the lo fi hip hop version of the wii u system music, and of course super tux music for the i-cy!

I'm just amazed by the fact that this man has *more* than one iDog, an iCat and even an iFish??? I barely remember iDogs, I'm honestly just surprised.

i remember having ONE i-dog in the distant past, i had no idea there were any other kinds. i think the one i had was the Amp'd one, as she was white with orange flowers, and her name was Cream ::) I have no idea where she is now...

I don’t know if you have yet but I think you should do the history of Furbies. They’re quite and interest of mine, I have 27. They have A LOT of variations, some have certain malfunctions like the Jester Furby, and they even had an entire movie (well, more or so a short, but nonetheless)

Yeah, had two of these from McDonalds, a green and a blue(?) one.

I remember being painfully jealous of kids in high school who had these. All the popular girls would place their idogs in a circle afterschool and have them all dance together. If they liked you enough they’d let you plug in your iPod and play a song. Pinnacle of coolness

I remember getting an idog and getting the soft pink idog for Christmas. Loved using them back when I was a child
