The Aquaracer line from TAG Heuer has become as iconic to the history of the brand as the Monaco and the Carrera, given that it can trace its roots all the way back to the 1978 Reference 488. Although the name wasn’t conceived until 2004, it’s almost impossible now to leave them out of the discussion when talking about some of the best looking Swiss divers, particularly give their aggressive sportiness and unique facets. Now in 2022, we’re treated to the next evolution of the Aquaracer in the Professional 200 collection that reduces the model's diameter and thickness while increasing the comfort.
Without getting into the minute specifications of every single model, there are a total of 11 new references. The first four flagship models are 40mm in diameter, with either the Calibre 5 automatic movement or a quartz. The automatics come in either grey or blue gradient dials, while the quartz models stick to a more simplistic monochromatic colour scheme in black and silver. The silver dial version looks particularly sporty, with the brushed steel bezel blending into the dial and the black-outlined hour markers being super legible.
The remaining five references are all 30mm, which offers a great amount of variety to women and the smaller-wristed. Two automatic models echo the smoky fumé grey and blue dials of the 40mm models, but have been given the "feminine sparkle" of diamonds as hour markers. The date display at 6 o’clock may be difficult to read on the diminutive dial, but it’s still great to see that no functionality has been sacrificed for the sake of size. The next two quartz 30mm Aquaracer Professional 200s are variations on the same watch with a glacial white mother of pearl dial, and your choice of either the standard or a diamond-set bezel.
The final three entrants into the Aquaracer Professional 200 collection are possibly my favourites, as they appear in the 30mm female-friendly size but without any of the overly feminine traits that can alienate some wearers while patronising others. The black and white dials are fairly self-explanatory, but the ice-blue dial version is a serious stunner. All of these quartz models do sacrifice the date window, but I could see a lot of people challenging their diameter-based preconceptions by trying them on.
The argument could be made that these watches are a step backwards in their water resistance, moving from 300m to 200m, but in all practicality you are still more than capable of diving casually with these watches. Considering that most dive watch owners often don’t even swim in their watches, I think it’s pretty clear that the size reduction and new dial colours are only positive things that give the Aquaracer range much more versatility.

This will definitely be my first Tag , really liking the blue dial

1 year later, did you end up purchasing? And if so how is the watch holding up?
Got mine and omg in person the watch just shines and looks amazing!
Fantastic review! I’ve just picked up my grey one, it’s safe to say I am in love…….
Love your reviews , your reviews of the 300 comparisons convinced me to get the 300 in blue dial with ceramic blue bezel - I agree the 200 has some features I like - but I still love my 300 every time I look at it - it’s amazing what 3 mm can do change a look and feel on every wrist
The automatic blue dial looks great! Excellent video!
I love this Tag model, very affordable and great sports watch. Love the plain black steel one. This is strap monster. Will plan to own one
This is an excellent release by TAG Heuer, and I hope it brings them back to a bit more prominence. I too remember when TAG Heuer was something to aspire too. When I was young, I knew basically Swatch, Casio, Rolex, and TAG Heuer. Some people may have preferred an all brushed bracelet, but that's not even really a complaint point. It's just a preference. They've clearly thought this out very well. I wasn't really a fan of the cyclops on the 43mm 300 model, as the shape was incongruent with the watch's design. I like the indices on this model better as well. The blue is gorgeous, as is the gray. The black is classic, but I would want to go for something a bit more exciting. I do think a future expansion of the line with a ceramic bezel would be cool, but that can be a future release.

I think a fully brushed bracelet is a better option on a sports watch. It makes this watch seem a little confused about its identity and they'll get scratched up super quickly if it's a daily. I do think this is much improved by Tag in many ways but i can't seem them ever getting back to former glories
Stunning. They've knocked it out of the park with these.
I like it, thank you for sharing and will done tag 👍
I think Tag Heuer created a very compelling sports watch. The 40mm case size is a welcome change, and I like the handset more than the one on the new 43mm version. I would definitely buy the blue dial one.
What a beauty!! My god!! Perfect size too!
40mm is a great size for me too. Liking the blue dial! Nice pieces. Thx T&T...
Wow that blue looks great
love the design~
One of my fav in Old days
the other day buy this blue model awesome:)
I think the Tag Heuer logo looks pretty cool popping out.
So close to what I've been waiting years for. But really can't stand a polished center link on a tool watch. Great video.
huge improvement in design of this new models
Yeah beautiful 🤩 reminds me of my old 2000 series in quartz. 40 mm is perfect 👍🏻
Got the black no date. The black really contrasts well with steel and is really legible 24 hrs. Feels light on my wrist and I am touchy about watches flopping on my wrist. I don’t even take it off. This imho is best with all black and the dual finish steel strap. It’s a classic!
If I decide to get one, it'll definitely be the blue one. Hope, Tag can offer a replacement ceramic bezel part for this model so one can easily switch from steel to ceramic. However, I think the following models looked pretty good too WAY211C.BA0928 and WAY211A.BA0928 at 41mm. Pity, can't get them anymore from ADs.
Loved the grey
Nice video mate 🥃
Picked up mine today (blue dial)! 43 was too big for me and really don't like the cyclops date. Dial is stunning in person! Cheers!
Like the blue too.❤️🙏
How are the numbers on the bezel applied ? Are they just painted on ?
No date quartz?! That's brilliant.
Love the blue…. Glad no cyclops! Love the 40 that is perfect for all size wrists
I love this watch I wish they had the quartz in blue 😣
What’s the lug width? Don’t think this has been mentioned anywhere
Hi can you do a comparison to the aquaracer 41? Tha nk you!
I prefer the 300, as apposed to the 200. Not a fan of the polished center links. The less mirror polish on a watch, the better, IMHO. As well, I prefer the ceramic insert over the steel. For both enhanced scratch resistance, as well as aesthetically. Nice review, and thank you for sharing it

Agreed, but if that was in 40mm it would've been perfect
guys ı can not make up my mind between tag aquaracer quartz and longines hydroconquest automatic version. my budget allow me to buy quartz tag btw. any advice ? thanks
Does it have the same clasp as the new 300?
40mm blue for me thats a really nice piece
Es muy bonito y denota caludad Çomo va de precisión el calibre 5 sellita ? Es fuable ese calibre ? Saludos
Bought the blue dial 2 days ago. I received 15% discount , truly loving the watch without any regret. I’m over the moon now 🥰

@@sven2200 The authorized dealer personnel told me that TAG always have discount for brand new models. I’m from Malaysia, i bought it here.
I ended up pulling the trigger on the grey one. $5K for the rose gold felt off the mark and seemed to be a huge depreciation so kept it safe with the steel one.
Looks nice 👍 price?
Great looking watch - although I’m eyeing the red one that recently came out. Saw Andrew and figured I’d give this video a look. Agree - big step up and the gastly cyclops has been banished from this model. Rejoice.
Long time waiting for something reminiscent of legendary 2000 professional line.. if only bracelet is brushed entirely and diameter is one mm smaller, I would buy it in a heart beat
Loving the no date quartz variations. Hows the bracelet comfort and does the clasp have on the go adjustment?
@potato9441

Has an easy link style extension but no slider like the 300
Need to get one. Have F1 with black strap.
Is this comes with sapphire crystal?
I can pick the 300 easily. I’ve got the blue dial aquaracer 300 and looking to get another one the black dial
Its a great size and I love the aesthetics - particularly that Nautilus inspired dial. That PR is dire though and very outdated in a modern watch
Model# for Grey dial one pls. Thanks
Finally 40🍧🍧🍧 and the steel bezel it's cool!!!
Great vid! No mention of for me, the biggest difference. The 43mm has an adjustable clasp, which is amazing and helps it compete with the big boys like the sub and smp300. The 40mm does not have this feature :(

dont quite understand the hate from watch community towards TAG, recent TAG has been knocking the ball out of the park
Rose gold for me but the price jump doesn’t feel correct
As much as I’m a mechanical guy. For a beater/GADA weekender watch, I’d almost prefer the quartz. Just pull it out on a Saturday morning and voila.
Tell me this came at 43mm also. Otherwise im buying the older one.
Would it fit a 6.5 inch wrist you think? or look clumsy?
@Timeandtidewatches
2 жыл бұрын
Better on 6.5in than 7in I reckon, it will be perfect - Andrew
It’s not a bad watch, but they’ve priced it £450 more expensive than the 41mm current calibre 5. But you lose the cyclops and have 100m less water resistance. They’re going crazy with their prices.
I wish they had the quartz in blue ☹
I love the fume gray and the balance on the quartz... but I don't want to pay that much for the quartz (unless I can get less than 1k). It's gorgeous...but so is the 300M ... ugh
Nice video but where is the HOLY SILVER DIAL??
Any tool free micro adjustment? It should always be mentioned, specially about a diver.
@kaspersballepoulsen7092

Sadly no
There are certainly elements about this that I like such as the polished centre links and the blue is much nicer than the very dark blue on the 300. However, the watch face is just too small for my tastes and I've a 6.5 inch wrist. A 42mm model would have been perfect, but wouldn't make sense of course alongside the existing 300.
Bro I love it hook me up with one or a Omega plz 🤣😭
If LVMH is your boss, expect this to go up in value
The biggest 43 mm with the aluminum bezel in blue with blue dial is the most beautiful yet they have stop producing it .
Some divers are diving with the aquarcer. Why 200 mm ? In terms of dial looks its an improvement but the rest sorry the previous model is better
I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve seen it in person I like it but no on the go adjustment like the 300 is a silly decision, I bet you can buy it for an extra price though 💁♂️
The grey is flat out brown.
Looks great, but 40mm is too small for me personally. Prefer the previous sizes. 42mm would probably be perfect. That blue dial is simply gorgeous! The AR 200 doesnt have the superior clasp of the new 300's either
TAG couldn't pay enough KZreadrs to get me to buy their watches.

Good looking watches. Does have brand recognition even among non-watch snobs. My only gripe is the platic piece inside on a watch that cots about $30000 USD....their new 2024 10000m at Around $8500 USD ...OUCH// Just becasue itès got a titianium caseéwrist band and a 10000m ratingÉÉ No one that buys dive watches actualy 'deep dives'/// :))) Watch companies doesnèt even actually deep dive tet their watches e.g. NONE have deep dive footage \\\ :)) For all we know the 10000m will come apart in 50 feet of water preure....heh// :)) Yet with the 10000m rating it will sell like hoto cakes// Are platic parts common in watches coting $30000 USD and belowÉÉ e.g. Seiko Tuna....i like the Tag Solargraph...might and might not have ...gues it WOULD have platic bits inside a it use a solar panel heh....shrug....
no date
so Tag Heuer going cheaper and going to charge more
Lovely everyday watch. Get it on discount as it will lose alittle value unlike a Tudor or Oris.
Shame that they still use that unimpressive and outdated 38Hour power reserve calibre 5... They should upgrade their movements asap.
? ???????
Like the video. the watch is not for me.
With cyclops would be better
Pity most kids growing up can't tell the time on a watch only a phone. iPhone 12 anybody???
good but overpriced.
Whoever approved this design has not understood that polished centre links are a big fat “NO”!on a sports / dive watch. Well done on the sizing that’s great , especially for the Asian market. The steel bezel is OK , I think Ceramic is more durable and more value for money, also considering you can find ceramic bezels on watches costing a third of the price . The real negative is the outdated movement , with 38 hrs power reserve . All this for the extortionate price of AUD 4000 . You need to have your head checked if you are willing to pay 4 grand for this outdated , poorly designed and overpriced rubbish. For just a little more I would much rather buy the previous pre owned version of the Omega Seamaster 300M , 41 mm , ceramic bezel, blue dial .
@rossdev

The movement is disappointing alright, buying Tag Heuer from the grey market is the only way really as the prices are much more sensible. The darlings of the watch community Tudor put aluminum bezels on the black bay so Tag are not the only guilty party here!
its just not sexy - drop the TAG too
Don't like the design
This model is backwards for tag heuer. The previous release was modern and forward looking. This model however reminds me of a microbrand. No rider tabs. Disappointing.
