Thank you for your feedback. We carefully pick who is featured in our videos and it can often be a lengthy process to find exactly the right fit. It's important that in this context the member of the orchestra is really keen to learn something new, and it was not deemed essential that we use a percussionist in this context. We do hope you enjoyed the film and will continue to follow our work.

I was very worried about the prospect of listening to Bach with Tabla accompaniment but, when it all began it was only but a sigh of relief. Even the drone of the tambura fits in quite nicely. I mischievously wonder if it would have been the same had not been Bach but something atonal like a Schoenberg. European 'dhun'-like melody with Indian percussion... sounded a lot like Dikshitar-esque 'nottuswaras'.

13:38 - This part takes me back to the Duck Hunt theme music. (Five seconds into this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y5yTmpuLY9audpM.html) I really enjoyed this video. While a violist is not a percussionist, Kramers' apparent knack for remembering a pattern without having to walk through it several times really helps the pacing of the video. And Sanju Sahai seems to be both an impressive player and a very good teacher.
