Oh, yes! “The 13th warrior” is THE best underrated movie I can think of. Such a marvel! I must have watched it 3 or 4 times. (and yes, 1000 ml = 1 l ) 😉

I was curious about Kage Baker, so I googled her. Unfortunately she passed in 2010.

Kage Baker published Company books up to her death in 2010 and beyond. Her last Company book was completed by her sister and published in 2012. Another author taken too soon by cancer. I wish the powers that be would reissue her work.

We can't have that being your last theatre visit. If I ever make it over there we shall see what's on. I wish I had noticed this wee twitter interaction. I would have jumped in on your behalf (that, and I enjoy winding people up)

Oh thanks a lot for all your praises about Turkish people. We are quite an hospitable bunch of people :) Orhan Pamuk is a very good writer but sometimes he writes too complex for my taste.

When you talked about the literature teacher who had the most influence on you, I detected a certain poignancy. That touching emotion, I think, has the makings of a novel you should consider writing based on the formative influence that relationship had on you. The book loving public would lap it up. Easily a best seller. 😉
