I bought the Karelia axe and the sway back knife combo off you and I think they are excellent. I love watching your video posts and, I find your input interesting and inciteful. I remember watching you work with Nic making an axe at the last Bodgers ball. Luckily I was distracted when it was auctioned because it went for phenomenal money. Absolutely beautiful work, I have to say. Keep it up you are a great inspiration.

I, for one, appreciate the backstory behind your knives and other tools, which to me is an as important detail in their design and production as the actual finished items themselves. As a tangible result of this additional detail, I will now be ordering a custom pair of your swayback sloyd knives. As an aside, I also appreciate the creative videography that you use. It adds a lot to the information that you present. Cheers!!

That was an incredibly kind and encouraging comment. Thank you. I'm trying to stay honest and real in the midst of a lot of design theft, empty smiles and acting. I at least try to remember where my passion started, even if I had to make adjustments in order to make a living. Thank you again!

Great work on the swayback Sloyd. As a knife-maker myself I really like what you're doing. Keep it up! A good knife is so fun when carving. And the swayback looks amazing.

Max, I just wanted to say as a spoon carver for 8 + years, I appreciate the round tang on the sloyd knife. My Nic W Sloyd is in a beautiful cherry burl handle and it’s crooked! I’m keeping my eye out for your blade only option.

Explain, take your time, explore as you share with us. "Slick" is way overrated and anyone complaining about rambling delivery - can skip forward, can stop and walk away, can exercise their own choices rather than demanding you fit into their expectations. Being you and doing things the way that flows out of you - is a gift - if folk don't appreciate the gift - they don't need to open it, they can move along.

Loving your gear buddy! top notch! Bought the journeyman axe and love it to bits! I'm using a 106 mora which is really cool but loving the ball bearing steel on the axe! Stands up to whatever I can possibly throw at it, cool to have a slojd knife that can do the same! All the best, good gear for not much £! X
