Just hit double digits this year and another already planned: cheap and profitable (I'm partly to blame, I did the pre order for #10 around August/September and have bought pretty much all the DVD releases) And as for LBT, I technically got a good deal on the compilation boxset of the films, but had already bought smaller compilations beforehand, so now I have excess DVDs for that series

Ah, Christmas, when everyone with five bucks and a laptop decides they can and should do CGI animation. As another 90s kid who rented The Swan Princess on the regular, I had no idea all these sequels existed - from the covers, it looks like they have a daughter who becomes a pirate and solves mysteries and then they all go to China? What?!

The first Swan Princess has shockingly good animation all things considered

4:17 - The problem with the teeth is that that is SO MANY TEETH! Even when you do your imitation snarl I only see like, 8 or 9 of your teeth, but I see at LEAST 19 teeth there, with a bunch in the back that just turn into a white blob.

Look I'll admit, the first Swan Princess, the original, I have a soft spot for in my heart as a 90s kid. To this day I will still say, "You should write a book, how to offend women in 5 syllables or less" this...those cheap straight to DVD barbie shows look less creepy.

I am pretty sure the guys who did swan princess live near me in UT. They go to all the cons and they even sell a BOUND JOURNAL with an embossed cover that says “How to Offend Women in Five Syllables or Less” The insides have like chopped up stills from the movie with quotes. It’s a delight. Swan Princess rules. 🦢

The writer and voice actor for the prince is Yuri Lowenthal. AKA the voice of Insomniac’s Spider-Man.

Watching this video feels like I've gotten high with someone I haven't seen since high school and we find deep comradery in how confusing this movie is.

American Idol "Deck the Halls" a few centuries before the carol, and even more centuries before auto tuning.

The more cartoony the hand drawn characters in Swan Princess were the better they translated into CGI. Odette looks so off with that hair and face.

Funnily enough, the 10th one does exist and it isn't bad, though it's "part 2" of a story that they should've compressed from 9 into 10 to make a single movie. They've done pirates, spies and I think some other ridiculous stuff, including retconning the Forbidden Arts slightly, but no space travel...yet

But I keep adding to my DVD library as it is, so it's getting drowned out anyway I was almost physically hurt by how bad the pun was, I don't think I'd want to rewatch #6-8 unless someone paid me, they're that bad.

So basically every year Christmas goes well and someone can come back to life or Christmas goes really bad and someone gets to come back to life

That prince would definitely fail answering the "Would you still love me if I were a worm," question.

I remember seeing the first movie in second grade, and I enjoyed it. As an adult it's ....meh. It was only a few years ago that I found out there were sequels. The Land Before Time sequels? I watched up to #5 before I gave up. I can't wait for the inevitable Swan Princess/Witchcraft crossover The CGI is terrifying I can't believe it but at least the TMNT Christmas TRIED to be original and didn't do the autotuned 2010s remixes. "Turns out it's easy to make a movie if you don't have any content in it" I've seen My Little Pony and He-Man episodes with less random insanity ♫If there's something strange and it don't look good Guess who it is? GHOST ROTHBART!♫ So Rothbart is like they combined Darths Vader, Maul and Sidious; you either have them coming back somehow or a lame expy of them Wouldn't it be something if one of the villains turned Odette into something different? How about a duck? That'd be different. Not much different but still different Derek really is fantasy Mitch Buchanan. Or maybe just Cody "Well it sounds kinda stupid when you say it that way"

Okay it's almost 4am in a dead house and that lightsaber fight just made me cackle into a pillow

I love the Swan Princess series, including all of its sequels. With its Disney-esque animation, plot, and songs, the first one was fantastic. The sequels are "so bad, it's great," in my opinion. It's amazing to witness these characters in fresh narratives and predicaments that bear little resemblance to the original. The new stories, I must add, are really creative. The next sequels have a tribe of flying squirrels, an island of monsters, a new kingdom with steampunk technology, an America’s Got Talent spoof, and a new adventure for the characters in China. In fact, these stories encourages my own creativity. For that reason, the Swan Princess series will always have a special place in my heart and I happily await the next sequel.

Not to say I don't care about you or the things you say, but I'm kind of mesmerized by that TV snow thingy in the background.

Damn, the animation in the first movie gave me nostalgia chills

So a while back I was sorting through some old toys I kept in a box from my childhood, and rediscovered my tube of pogs. I had completely forgotten, but I had Swan Princess pogs in there, I'm assuming from when the movie first came out. POGS. With frames from the movie on them. So if the weird ass current merch on the website baffles you, just remember we live in a reality where Swan Princess pogs exist.
