The Swamps are LOADED with Shark Teeth in Florida | Exploring the Ancient Ocean Floor

Спорт

This was a very fun fossil hunting trip out into the middle of a beautiful Florida swamp! We had quite the adventure just getting to the location we knew was loaded with shark teeth. We managed to find megalodon shark teeth along with teeth from a number of other species. We even managed to find some Pleistocene aged terrestrial vertebrate fossils, which are quite rare in this location.

I'm very interested in your paleopacks! But I looked on your site and that is all you offer. With of course the added fossils. But I was wondering if there's any way to buy a magaladon tooth ...ect... I for sure will be purchasing some paleopacks from you. I'm addicted to your channel

He is six and is now saving his money so he can go to Florida and hunt for shark teeth. He also tells me that he is going to ask Santa for a Paleo Cris Pack next Christmas. All I have to say is I hope Santa ships to Canada!!!

This reminds me so much of what the scenery look like in those days! It’s so comforting to know that there are a few places but now I have not change that much. Great seeing you and friends on What the Hales. I subscribed to your KZread, what are you’re friends names on KZread? Would love to see more of y’all working with Jeremy on his 70 acres. I’m in eastern NC and my grandparents had a summer place near Aurora NC where there is a huge phosphate mine. My grandpa would buy their gravel from them in the 80’s for the road to the camp on the river. My brother and I would find huge Megalodon teeth in the gravel. Being so young, we had no idea what we had found. We just knew they were super cool. Once home in eastern NC we kids had a creek we played in and found humongous scallop shells in areas where the creek bed had eroded. My parents used them as ashtrays. All of us ignorant about finds. I find it amazing that y’all find such wonderful fossils so close to the top layer of gravel. Happy hunting and I hope to see more digs on Jeremy’s property.

There was a 5' mound of small sea shells and lots of sharks teeth after it was finished... we were amazed. Just to think of an ocean once here 900' below my feet. Well ., Mother Earth is old.

Chris... Really enjoy watching. Here's a thought, keep a small box, like a small tackle box, with your "field trip" gear. Pack it with zip ties, cordage, asst'd hand tools that you may need... you know what you might need in a semi emergency. Some folks call me a " prepped" but I just say it's a form of insurance. Yes, I was a boy scout. But that was over sixty years ago. Every outing that I go on with friends, they always find me if there is any sort of minor emergency. I've even patched a hole in a small boat. My approach is to think about what could go wrong and have a plan for it.

Should have tied your softer with some small vines or braided grass or something. 😄 The twig galls are probably a result of gall wasps. I’ve never seen a wasp cluster quite like that, with the flattened shape, but bees do love geometric groupings. A little hole in a gall means the inhabitant has exited. Gall wasps don’t live king as adults, so they don’t eat. Pretty cool find. 😃

Reminds me of gold panning. Are the fossils heavier than the gravels?

That's a coincidence, I was thinking the same thing, and I'm eating my 1st squirrel today that I shot yesterday with a xbow. Put the big guy in the crock pot all nt, definitely savage tasty! You might enjoy hawk vs snake here at my chan.

I don't get that weird wood bridge. Where did it lead to? Why was it built and when? Enjoyed the video, thanks

you should try a fence post hole digger to scoop the rocks you wouldn't have to put your hands in the water

Our rule of thumb was anywhere there's water, there can be gators. Besides that...the SNAKES! I'd be nervous as a whoore in church

Anyone know whereabouts in Florida they are in this video? By look of the forest around them I know it's somewhere in central Florida.
