Thanks for reviewing this, bro. This is our car. It is reliable. It is fuel efficient, the best in the segment. And it's a true MPV. Driven it in the city, mountain roads, light to moderate off road, about a foot or so of highway flooding, it never failed us. I agree that the steering wheel controls are a bummer but the head unit is very easy to use and controls, including the backing camera, and dash cam, can be installed aftermarket. There's a lot of available service centers and parts out there. This remains to be the absolute best-value MPV in the market, price-to-performance considered. And handling is great too. Actually, I think steering response is better than the XL7, if you remember how that feels. According to some reviews, cornering on the Ertiga is better. Suspension is probably similar because they have the same set-up but tuning might be a bit bouncier on the XL7 as it is SUV-tuned. Overall, great review! P.S. Your kids sleeping at the back with the review on-going is a testament to its ride comfort, don't you think? ;)

@@ReygansRides When we had the car last year, it doesn't come standard with Android Auto, only phone mirroring (Autolink). Can you please share any info regarding this? Did Suzuki update the firmware? Or you have Android Auto on your phone and just plug and play?

I love my 2019 ertiga..so simple..yet it will give you a driving comfort...steering is unvelievable so light...i dont need cars with full of amenities inside but the performance is poor...ertiga is the best fuel efficient mpv in our country...you can upgrade cams..back cams by well known dash cameras out there...love it running for 4 years now...

Got the ertiga glx 4th quarter of 2019 so there's a bit more features . It's a great car and very worth it for the price. My only problem is that it is quite noisy inside the cabin from road, tire, and engine noise. It became apparent when I had the chance to drive a vios xle cvt 2022. The doors feel/sound cheap too. Found the xl7 to be better.

The Top spec for this family car used to be GLX but it was discontinued to give way to XL7 which costs a few pennies more. GLX has push start button, parking sensors, rear camera, signal lights on its side mirror, mags for wheels, faux wood interior with media buttons on the steering wheel. It's almost similar to XL7 if it was not for the arm rest and extra usb sockets for the rear passenger.

I am getting a 2020 GLX repo unit with 16k odo on it. Still smells fresh and new. All amenities, as you'd said are there. And the view of the cockpit is a Wow experience for me. As an owner of a 2018 Avanza 1.5 G MT before. Suzuki cars are underrated really imho. This is my first venture into Suzuki Country, exciting!😉👌

For commoners like me, the Ertiga is really a value 7-seater 👍 Though the new Avanza is really value-for-money and much improved than the previous model (except perhaps for the rear wheel drive setup of the older Avanza). Requests for review (driving impressions) hehe: Raize 1.0 turbo vs Raize 1.2 G new Avanza new Changan CS35

Good review, but for me fam car is not just intended to be reviewed in the city. City reviews is just going on ur ofc, malls and supermarket in the metro. Fam car, mpv, suv or van also for out of town and visiting our provinces. Stiff up and downhill capabilities should be included. If I am a car reviewer and given 24 - 48 hrs or a week to review fam gettaway car I will include it. Maybe going tarnate, bitukang manok and bagiuo. Thats the real test than driving in flat traffic and expressways. Ph is more than that.

Do you think they will bring the facelifted Ertiga Hybrid that they released in India a few weeks ago here in Pinas?

Hi sir. If you can opt for the GL MT, I would say that would be a better buy. the GA MT only has a 2-din radio, not a touchscreen head unit. It has no car alarm system, different design on the wheels, different grills (all black, not chrome), etc. Probably no center arm rest for the 2nd row, too. It is the base model. If those missing features are ok with you, then it's a reliable and very spacious car. All Ertigas are, regardless of the trim. I suggest you visit a dealership and compare both. If you can squeeze a little bit more from your budget, then the GL AT is the absolute value MPV in the market today, in my opinion. In addition, all Ertigas are masters of fuel efficiency, even the AT. More so on the MT, I presume. Not to be brand biased, you can also check the lower trims of the Xpander, Honda Mobilio/BR-V, or the lower trims of the new Avanza. The Xpander is spacious. Can't tell for the other two though. Happy car hunting sir!

Really a reliable and fuel efficent car. We made the right choice.

@@markjavier8157 used as taxi, plenty of parts available outside. thats about it. It was financed, the difference in monthly with the vios E counterpart was almost 3K pesos. I dont want to have a vios, so i chose the other taxi car

Kaicene CX70 is a feature-packed MPV at a much cheaper price than the Ertiga, however its fuel economy is not that good compared to the Ertiga, which is as of now the most fuel efficient MPV, so you have to balance what you consider, features vs fuel economy.

@@TheReader07 I'm not against your preference of buying the CX70, but on the note though, the CX70 doesn't have an overhead air vents but instead, it only has two small vents found in the center, so cooling is not so great especially for the third row passengers.

Damn suzuki is killing itself lately, releasing the barely refreshed ciaz then discontinuing it right after, only offering the AWD vitara at almost 1.5M, increasing the price of the jimny and NOW offers the previous middle trim ertiga as the top of the line.hahaha Good luck suzuki PH

Suzuki Ph recently gave a substantial discount to the Vitara Allgrip (around P1.2 M discounted price). Hope the company will just retain the discounted price or even lower, considering that it has many competitors now (albeit FWD only).

@@markjavier8157 See, they just threw the discount because it is so expensive and they can sell it at a lower price. yes it has an AWD, the engine is the same, so you basically have a heavier vitara when used in normal conditions. Suzukiph is following the footsteps of hyundaiph, :( Paying more for less

mas preferred namin ang Suzuki Every Wagon kaso puro mga 2nd hand ang mabibili mo sa Cebu, GenSan at Davao mas ok yun kesa dito sa Ertiga... 300K lang meron kana then for 7people din. dapat yan ang ibenta ng Suzuki kesa yung M/T na APV

Yes bro, that car has the ability, comfort and looks, thats why Suzuki Ertiga was one of my choices and being Japan base car, matibay talaga sya. 😊

correct me if im wrong but isnt the glx is the top of the line model?? I believe this is suppose to be the mid spec model. (unless they have remove the glx trim to accomodate the xl7?)

very meh. if you are looking to get an MPV Suzuki just save some more money and get yourself the XL7 or negotiate to get atleast a 100k discount for this top of the line variant

New Avanza now is a better option. Suzuki needs to refresh their ertiga.

Better in its simplicity but not necessarily if you are looking for a feature-packed MPV/Crossover. In that case, then the XL7 is better. It has all the controls (and them some) other features that Reygan pointed out. But if you are considering absolute practicality, price-to-performance, and do not mind having to install aftermarket upgrades in the future, then at its price, it is hard to beat. ALSO, it is marginally more fuel efficient than the XL7 which is 20kgs heavier and has bigger wheels (same engine and transmission).

Best MPV is Toyota Innova 👍😎👌
