Fiber cables are great for dense areas, SpaceX for less dense and hard to reach areas. This will allow global access to the internet. Amazing!

Starlink bandwidth is toy compare to undersea cables. Single undersea cable has the bandwidth in the range of Tbps. The max theoretical of Starlink capacity with all the constellations is in the Tbps range.

I do not listen or watch a "built in commercial" on any ones channel. I, also, do not watch commercial TV or listen to commercial radio. I use 6 or more ad blockers on my browsers. I'm old enough to remember the internet without commercials or ads. I like it that way.

a couple things - (a) a US submarine did not listen to soviet communications, taps were installed by divers of US Subs and we listened for years (but not live - had to retrieve recordings repeatedly - brave stuff) ... a great caper that may have prevented WW3 - the Ivy Bells project was captured well in the book/doc "Blind Man's Bluff" - world was very well served by US Submarine Force during the Cold War (b) the Google's of the world can't build or connect anywhere ... governments (US & Australia recently) have recently blocked more than one project due to well founded concerns re: CCP (china) spying ...
