Definitely one of my all-time KZread viewing favourites. I've listened to this at least 20 times over the past several years - and suggested to dozens of friends that they listen to the story Dan tells starting at 3:30. Timeless advice for success.

Revisiting this great interview. Thanks Dean and Joe. Dan mentioned a scenario where even if someone is selfish (which most of us are) the more they fulfill that selfish need, the more value is created for all (VERY DOABLE) and in fact, when done properly it is the fastest growing and best model in existence. Dan said, “people don’t want answers”. To better phrase it, People DO want answers however, They do NOT want you to begin the conversation with an answer. The ONLY ANSWER they want is the answer that is relevant to them and that can only come AFTER a question. That question needs to be specific. Dan has perfected that. Value is never realized until the right question is asked. The question you ask the person receiving being delivered to!

"Some philosophies are based on the assumption that human beings will always act with virtue. It's more reasonable to assume they will always act in their own self-interest. Build a system of government where their self-interest contributes to the common good. Channel their selfishness. This is the marketplace. This is capitalism. Everyone pursuing their self-interest produces a tremendous amount of good. Capitalism. A system of ever-increasing cooperation among strangers." NICE!!
